Always love the Mandarin! The food was great, typical Mandarin stuff, the service was great as usual. The only reason I'm giving them a 3 is because of the price. $37 per adult is pretty high, and the quality of the buffet isn't worth 37 bucks. Also, a 9 yo child is never going to eat 18 bucks worth of food. Probably won't be back soon because of the price.

We always love the variety of food we can choose from the buffet, with satisfying taste and great selection from main courses to desserts! Prices are fair for a once in a while family treat gathering.

Very good place to eat. I have had all of my birthdays here and will want my kids to have all of their birthdays here. The staff is very pleasant and well mannered. The owner came around and was very polite and welcoming. I would highly recommend coming here for the food.

Mandarin in Barrie is a lovely buffet restaurant to go to. Exceptional service, great food, nice ambience, one of d owners, Carolyn is a lovely friendly person, very accommodating, it's nice when she goes around to say hello to everyone and knows me by name. She has never missed my name! The staff are also lovely...( we v had Burak, Qiny, Vivian) The environment also has a nice feel to it. We are regulars and will always go back there.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in (Barrie). The food is always fantastic,I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. Management are amazing especially Carolyn Xavier she certainly is a marvellous Manager. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Highly recommended to everyone.

I kept going back to this place, coz I could eat everything I liked in one place, I enjoyed the seafood and salads ... Clean washrooms, nice ceiling, great staff, asked if you are sharing or separate bill before you start.

Everytime I visit the mandarin I am extremely satisfied. Service is wonderful, and the food is amazing. I go there all the time and I’ve always had an amazing experience. The food is always spectacular and the place is always clean. Even during very busy times, it’s wonderful. This is my favourite buffet! The take out is always hot with large portion sizes. I have recommended Mandarin to many people, and will continue to do so.

A good friend of mine brought me here last week on our way to Northern Ontario. What a treat! It's like a dream world of Asian food. Extremely clean, always fresh food. Not a buffet fan usually but couldn't wait to take several trips to the various stations here. A great experience.

A very nostalgic type of place for me, dating to the days before I have had traditional Chinese dishes. Haven't been for over 10 years, the changes I've noticed were rather positive, serving real sushi and sashimi now, all the "classic" dishes are still there, decent ribs and steak as well. Went with a group of friends and had a lot of fun.

Beautiful atmosphere, love the design although the organization for getting us to a table was a little sloppy and there was little space to wait but to be fair it was a weekend. I visited with a broken leg and I was healed to the point of just walking and the staff were patient and always let me go ahead and apologized for even a near bump into me which was lovely. Really a good environment for a family outing with food choices for even the pickiest of eaters, and on top of that the deserts were phenomenal only thing I wasn't a fan of was the spare pork ribs just not what I expected I would recommend trying this place if you haven't already and I will be back. Thank you for your quality service.

This place has been around for at least 18 years.. I only guess that because of a time I had a love for seafood and they opened up in Barrie.. remember 🦞 fest? 😋😋😋 Took advantage of lunch time prices here over the years but in the last 4, I haven't been as I've discovered other places to go to. Place has lots of selections of Asian comfort goodness and desserts but even then I guarantee you'll walk around and say there's nothing to eat🤣 I enjoyed everything on this day, all flavourful from soups, salads, sushi, soft serve ice cream and so much more! Prices have gone pretty high reflecting costs of the times. Even though I didn't eat what it costs, I still enjoyed the atmosphere this place offers, which are many options. Staff are always friendly, washrooms could use more ventilation, and it's a bit outdated, but maybe they're going for the authentic Chinese washroom vibe... then they're on point with luxury here ( if ever you've been in Chin, you'dd know where im coming from)🤣🤣🤣 Still love this place January 14, 2023

Went on September 12th for my Fiancé Birthday 🎂, Dinner was really good, I got to try the cream cheese salmon sushi and a few others 😋 our waitress was polite and very welcoming.

Had a lovely dinner here on New Year's Day. The buffet had a wide selection and everything was fresh and well prepared. Always love the atmosphere and service, also appreciate that they are being diligent with covid precautions. Pro tip: kids under 4 are free, so fill those tiny tummies! It's a great way to let them try a bunch of different foods with no pressure, PLUS you don't have to cook anything or clean the mess 😁

Stopped in for dinner around 6. We checked in & was told the wait time for a table was around twenty five minutes, accurate & reasonable. Owner Carolyn Xavier came over and welcomed us at our table, very nice experience & atmosphere! Food was very good. Both the general pao & Lemon chicken are always a favorite and would recommend. New batches of everything brought out of the kitchen often, so everything was hot and very fresh! The restrooms are very clean, nice to see at dinner rush / rush hour. We'll be back again for sure!!

Their food was great and our waiters (Leonna,Ben & Ashwin) were very professional, friendly and courteous. Leonna was especially cheerful. Ambience could be better when compared to other locations.

We were seated quickly, good was excellent and staff was efficient. The dining area was clean and organize. The bathroom was also maintained. Our servers were Tien, Ben and Adam. They were very approachable and professional. Thank you all for a positive experience. The girls and I had a wonderful birthday celebration.

This was our first time at this particular Mandarin restaurant. The pros: The selection of food was great, with all of my Mandarin favorites (I swear the black pepper beef is to die for). The staff was very attentive and made sure our table was well taken care of. The manager came out to our table and gave us a card, and made sure we were having an excellent time (thank you Carolyn Xavier). The price for the buffet I feel is more than reasonable. For 3 of us it came to just over $100 (not including a fair tip of course) The cons: My cons for Mandarin are always bathroom related. The bathrooms were not bad but could be a tad cleaner. I'm not going to deduct any stars though.

Lots of food options but I didn't like the desserts so much. The orange Jell-O was great and the chocolate sauce was too. That's not on them though because I have very limited taste for desserts and food. I like chocolate cake, ice-cream and other chocolate stuff that I know. Their stuff didn't please me. I tried the brownie square, chocolate mousse, and chocolate cake and I can't rate those items higher than 6/10. The food was a sure 8/10! Service staff was excellent! Lots of parking.

Everything on the buffet was well kept and tasty. Atmosphere was nice but getting a bit out dated. Overall it was a nice experience.
