staff was extremely unfriendly and always talking in their own language. I had stomache ache for a few hours and I'm sure I'll never go back. The food was ok though, but too fatty.

Since I was a child I went to Mr. Wong The quality and friendliness of the staff was stetingly decreasing and the price increasing. Also the portion sizes got smaler and smaler. The great salad buffet they used to have a few years ago was taken away. It has reached a point in which I am no longer willing to spend 1 franc. I hope this restaurant is once forced to go back to what it was before.

The food is at best average and overpriced. The service is downright rude, even by stern Germanic Basel standards. The place has recently been remodeled so relatively clean. Nasi Gorang was okay, but some ingredients didn't taste fresh and not much taste overall. Be prepared to pay extra for sauces and water (they won't give you tap water). It has a bathroom, but it's kept away from even their customers unless you wrangle with the proprietors to get them tell you where it's located. All in all a sort of tourist or student trap that I can't recommend, but if you want to overpay for basic Asian dishes you likely won't get sick eating here. Sorry that's the best I can say.

It's been more than 30 years that I hadn't been at Mr. Wong in Basel but the taste of the food still has not changed a bit. Still delicious, especially the chicken fried rice. It was a pleasure to see it still exists and offers the same quality of food. The location has changed but I like this place better as it offers a better access into the restaurant. The staff was friendly that day of visit.

Mister Wong's attempt of offering a buffet at Sunday was pretty good. The broad selection of food was mostly home-made and was good tasting. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely visit again!

Got fried chicken noodle - aka chicken lo mein. The chicken was very dry, the noodles were mediocre. They charge 1 CHF for each sauce which is kinda making you pay more to give the food any flavor.

Cafeteria-style Asian fast food. They offer some dishes a la carte, but otherwise, nothing special. Daily specials are pre-cooked in huge woks and plopped in your dish with a lump of rice.

Unfortunately, the food is below average. We had the chicken fried rice and the chicken fried noodle, both were dry and had a burnt after taste...

The food is good, loved the shrimp soup, too much for us but everything nice anyway. The service was good one lady did not even turn to look at us, however the other girl was very nice and tried her best to be helpful.

Nothing exceptional with the food. One of the staff was extremely rude: I was just confirming whether the fried rice contained chicken, she said with a sarcasting, bitchy behaviour: yeah you can see it here oh!!” The food label was on top of lamp! Service was also bad: asked to takeout our food they gave us take away box. We’re visiting from Geneva and this restaurant paints a bad representation of hospitality and good service from Swiss restaurants. They should close this restaurant or fire the staff who are unhappy to work there.

Staff are freindly and the best Thai curry in Town.

The food tasted okay ish. Both our food was freshly cooked. During the night both of us started getting a fever, stomach cramps, diarrhea and we were vomiting all night and are still sick. We contracted a Norovirus which gave us both a nasty stomach flu. Since my girlfriend and I had been pretty isolated from other people this week and got sick at the same time after eating at Mr. Wong, we are pretty sure we contracted the virus from our food at Mr. Wong.
