My first time Visiting the academy as a visitor had I known a mug shot was needed I would have made a bit more of an effort. Staff where polite an friendly and tables where of top condition. If I was to offer any constructive criticism it would be that membership was not sold to me at all. I would have rather paid £25 to sign up for the year than £5 as a visitor maybe this is why it wasn't much of a hard sell however, drinks couldn't have been more hard sold constantly asking if we where OK for drinks this is clearly where there money is made to keep it going. Over all a pleasant visit and look forward to thier social nights with a live band well done guys & girls.

Absolutely phenomenal Pool and Snooker club - a hidden gem at the back of the Moniton Trading Estate. 🎱 I visited here with my ex wife for a friendly game of pool as we are currently finding the flame to reignite our relationship. Fantastic selection of alcoholic beverages and facilities and I was extremely impressed (nearly as impressed as I was when I saw my ex wife in her lace wedding dress on our big day back in the summer of 1992) We played on table number 2, the soft green fabric covering the mahogany table made the balls slide with elegance and ease, making our game extremely enjoyable. After our game, we sat down on the soft leather chairs to enjoy a rollover hotdog. The sausage was cooked to perfection, flavourful and seasoned, coated in crispy onions and a selection of delectable sauces - too much choice to have my usual mustard! The white baguette was crusty and toasted and served in a cardboard sleeve - it’s great to see sustainable packaging which is friendly to our environment. Had a quick conversation with the manager Wayne, to express how delighted I was with our evening. He seemed to have a liking to my ex wife with a twinkle in his eye - but who can blame him, she is absolutely gorgeous and I know he was just being friendly! I will be back in March for the Oasis tribute and am looking forward to future events and evenings in the Academy. Thank you to the wonderful and friendly staff - I cannot wait to return. Great Social place very busy night one side with a darts competition but can always get a pool table and the atmosphere is good. Good to have the Chinese takeaway there as well.

Everything you could ever hope for in terms of entertainment. Sport, Music,Food and more delivered professionally by friendly enthusiastic staff at a reasonable price.

Good quality venue, Pool tables and Snooker tables well looked after and maintained. Dart area normally free, they often host live entertainment on the weekends which adds another element. Probably one of Basingstoke’s best Chinese food in the facility also, which, they allow you to eat in the main area. Staff are friendly

If you like football and playing snooker it's great. Not my thing. They have nice staff. Punters young and seniors. Limited parking. Super tribute acts on a stage and dancing floor.

Good but terrible maintainence. Bit of the table fell off and kept banging our legs om something that stuck out at knee level. Poor.

On our visit it wasn't crowded, staff were friendly, it was clean and the music wasn't too loud. The only issue I had is the stairs, LOTS of them when you're carrying a large, awkward box!

Me and .y son always have a great time playing snooker or pool and often having dinner whilst there .... covers all the bases for me good atmosphere good prices great facilities and a good Chinese takeaway inside ... win win win

Lately the entertainment there has been keeping getting better and better and with such amazing people working there and great for socialising and enjoying the Chinese there and other items of food I'd say it's worth definitely visiting if you've never been there before and new to basingstoke Hampshire

Been here a few times just lately but think it's getting worse rather then better. No disrespect to anyone in general but don't feel that welcome, more about how much I'm spending so took a star off

Quite a nice venue, pleasant staff and having a Chinese on site is a bonus. From a pool table point of view I found them a bit slow but ok to play on. The interior decor is absolutely insane, from one spot I could see 32 televisions 🤣 and the amount of mirrors made it even more insane. Quite off putting when playing a match but overall would visit again

Excellent place for social and leisure. One of my must-go places in Basingstoke! Place is clean, easy access car parking, friendly local people, funny bartenders and hansome owner, plenty snooker and pool tables, dart games, lottery machine, live music bands (Fridays?), not to mention jaggerbomb shots.. What else do you expect? 🍻

Only been once but the drinks were reasonably priced, the pool tables were fun and the music was good

Great place, recently moved to Basingstoke and The Academy was recommended by someone. Decent prices for beers/drinks .. a couple of pizza and a hot dog on the menu, with a Chinese takeaway on the premises. The tables are great, there's always one available and there's enough TVs to fill a football stadium, so if you're watching the football, you couldn't miss a goal if you tried.

Amazing snooker and pool hall,, first time today.. and first thoughts was it's clean and tidy,, was responsibly quiet,, so you can focus on your own game,, guess it gets busy at night, so would recommend going in the early afternoon if you want a peaceful game of snooker,, the toilets are really clean and tidy,, staff are friendly and helpful,, food is responsibly priced and tasty,, parking can be an issue but there is a small carpark right outside and a little further down there is another carpark... prices for membership ain't bad for the year.. and prices for the tables is good.. recommend to anyone if your local and into your snooker... 👊👍

Great place to go for snooker or pool, and the Chinese inside is fabulous worth a visit in its self. Also some good entertainment at weekends.

Always go here for a chinese, pint and a game of pool. Good value for money and Always something to watch when not on the table.

Play here often, tables are generally in very good condition and always level. Some tables can be left too long before a new cloth is needed so you have to check the table you want to play on before paying. The manager is great and knows his stuff.

Enjoyed a few frames of pool with my son. It's been ages since I have played but he has been getting into it a school so nice to play.

Big pool hall out on the edge of town. Dart boards and other games to entertain. Need to be a member to get in. Tucked away at the back of an industrial estate.

Lots of snooker and pool tables, good chinese restaurant next door. Pre pandemic used to have lots of tribute bands, reasonable price for beer

Recently had my stag start the night there Wayne was outstanding super helpful getting the tables sorted and helping with my dad who has a disability that stops him from using the stairs to get in wasn’t a issue for them they were more than happy to allow him use of the service lift and made sure we were close enough to facilities should he need them very speedy service for drinks and to top it off the tribute act that was on was brilliant and with all the tv’s on the walls made it great to keep an eye on the football and boxing that come after all round good place to go great staff very professional and happy to help 100% would recommend this place to anyone who’s after reasonably priced drinks wants to play pool, snooker or darts or even just to watch the sports with a good atmosphere
