There are even interactive screens where you can learn more certain engines, car models, and so on... The staff is also very pleasant and helpful towards the visitors, there is shop and bistro at the extension of the museum. Either way, very well spent time. It's a must-go destination in Munich, especially if you're a huge automobile enthusiast.

The ticket price is around 10 euro. But I don't rate the highest because there is no so much into or history to get known the BMW history in case you don't know it. It is place more for fans, like exhibition of some models and engins. In terms of learning by doing, no possible to sit in the car, or to have any testing machine, anything with interactions. My expectations were very different. And then I figure out that BMW world across the street is absolutely free and they have there much more models , at least, to see. We didn't have a time already to go there. But I recommend to go there straight away, and then to decide if you want to spend time and money for several historical models, with no information on it. Also there was no about the future plans or models.

I'm giving it just 4 stars because I missed a lot of classic cars. It's centered mostly around post-80s cars. Very good examples, but no historical cars. Also, lighting can be a bit tricky as some parts appear to be way to dark to really appreciate the cars. Also, during my visit, they were removing the motorcycles from the wall, maybe they could've waiting until closing hours?

A must see place in Munich, bmw evolution,bikes, engines , models , history of cars and engines can be seen . Also you can buy souvenirs here. Digital show with balls is a special attraction here, yu can see sports cars and bikes too.

I liked the museum and to get to know more about the history of BMW and their evolution in conceiving cars, motos and airplanes. But honestly, I was expecting a bit more... some more recent cars were not on the exhibiting. Nor at the BMW Welt ( for instance, some of the most recent i models). It is nice to have several permanent and temporary exhibitions, but some, like the one related to the environment, are not so appealing in my opinion. All staff was nice and helpful. It was a pity to see that the mandatory use of the mask was not follow by some visitors and no one from the museum call their attention. Accessibility to the museum is really good, with the subway train a couple of meters away and really nice underground parking (1€ first hour and 2.5€ additional hours).

Great museum, self-paced or guided tour, directly across from BMW Welt (showroom). Recommend visiting both (museum requires tickets) and rounding it out with a nice Cappuccino at the end. Easily accessible by public transportation, highly recommend.

Nov 4th 2021. I was not planning to go to the museum, but the weather was awful and there was still time to go from 3-6pm. Next time I’ll plane better for a guided tour and to have more time. I was with s friend that did not really wanted more than just see the cars and motorcycles. BWM WELT is a must, across the street, plan so that you have time there too ( all bars and restaurants close by 6pm)

Must-visit place for car enthusiasts; has plenty of models from the past to current and the futuristic ones. I personally can spend 1 whole day here.

I visited here 2019. If you like BMW this should be a stop for you while in Munich. Nothing particularly blew me away but I really like the cars and was nice to see some history of BMW and check out their headquarters. There was a gift shop inside that surprisingly was well price for gift items. If you’re a BMW fan you should stop by, if not you’re not missing too much.

BMW cars has great history. Definitely worth a try. Inside BMW museum we can see the cars from beginning to present generations. I admired about the place. It is mesmerising with cars and bikes.

Really enjoyed my time in BMW Museum. All cars there are in superb condition. If you really want to read and see everything you can spent there lot of time. Worth visiting for sure.

Great collection of historical cars and bikes from past BMW. The generational motorcycle showcase is what i liked the most and ofcourse some great classics. The wall. With all the tags from all the BMW cars was amazing 😍

BMW Museum is a must see location, running backwards in the main history chapters of BMW with a look to the future of the brand, of the technology and sustainability as well. The visit takes ca. 4 hours and it's highly recommended.

Dream come true for the hardcore BMW fan! Having owned over a dozen BMW cars and a handful of BMW motorbikes, this place has been on my bucket list for 15 years. Cars, bikes, race cars, and sustainability strategy. Plan on several hours.

Great for a casual car fan. I was most interested in the WW1/WW2 era vehicles and was surprised to learn that BMW made jet engines! The museum is well organized with an almost linear path leading down to the bottom that includes a display of classic BMW cars and a dedicated exhibit to BMW’s role during the Third Reich.

Even if you’re not a car/motorcycle enthusiast almost anyone can appreciate the BMW museum, it has the wow factor! It felt like the right amount of vehicles to keep your interest and not bore (speaking as a wife of a car lover). The displays were cool and it felt upbeat.

Really interesting place that wasn't as car focused as I thought it might be. It explored the companies history, thier contributions to various formula competitions, dealt with their complex war time contributions and also the future of the company. Its a really great visit and combined with the Olympic Park next door, is definitely worth the visit.

This place is an absolute must for anybody that likes cars. Not only that the museum is full of very rich history of the BMW company but it is also has all of its models restored and I guess that many of them never even hit the road. I strongy recommend to visit this place and see in your own eyes. By the way if I am not mistaken then the three towers of the offices are representing three cylinders of car motor.

This is a great place to spend 2-3 hours. The museum is very well put together, and the building itself is very interesting. Very cheap for entry, if you finish up earlier than expected, head across the road to the BMW Welt (free entry).

An ode to BMW for sure with some really interesting displays. I found BMW Welt (World) across the rod short and interesting and its free entry. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, there wasn't much crowd. Some of the classic old car displays were quite fascinating, the wall of bikes was cool to see. I feel like the arrangement was a bit haphazard, like it was lacking a storyline/timeline.

This is place is totally worth a visit especially if you're a motorcycle enthusiast. Tickets fares are really low compared to the amazing stuff you see there. I personally very much enjoyed their collection of old cars.

I paid €10 for the general entry ticket and I think it's well worth the money. There are so many things to look at and it is amazing to know the history and transition of BMW company. It took me close to 4 hours to go through the museum because I read most of the information provided. The feedbacks are it would be better to show the English information in dark colour instead of grey. Because it's hard to see when the lights are on top due to shining. The other one is it would be better to have more merchandises such as varieties of BMW shirts, jackets and caps at the shop.

For sure a must-see if you’re in Munich, irrespective if you are a fan of the brand or not. Beautiful expositions, lots of models of cars and motorcycles to see (pity not to touch or test drive ;)). A place to learn lots of things and experience history and future simultaneously. You can spend 1 hour there, or full day, depending on your personal interests. A tip: bring 1 euro coin with you. No rucksacks, bags (or even bottle of water :/) allowed to be brought in, you need to leave such stuff in a locker - that’s when the coin proves useful :)

Nice museum to visit if you like automotive. Displays some of the historic cars, motorcycles, and products of BMW. The museum walks you through the history of BMW and their values. You get to see pieces from history and the modern ones too. Plan to spend 2-3 hours here. No line when we visited in December. Conveniently located by a train stop.

The best place. Don't go alone as I did. Go with someone or a group so that you can click as many pics as you want with your favourite cars or bikes. Even if you are not an ardent car lover or a die hard fan of BMW like me, you will at least spend a minimum of 2 to 3 hours in the museum. Amazing experience and I missed the factory tour. Note that if you wish to go for a factory tour, you need to book at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance. Otherwise you will not be able to go for a factory tour. But the museum and the welt has no such restriction. You can directly walk in and get the ticket for the museum and the welt needs no ticket and it's free.

Without doubt the cars on show are immaculate and stunning. But the museum itself seemed to be undergoing a reorganization leaving many areas closed off. There also appeared to be another exhibition on the top floor which needed additional tickets. M1 bistro was poor, with a few sandwiches and a dried bit of pizza.

A popular Steel and Glass museum that engages the sight. All bulky bags will need to be put into lockers that costs €1. You will walk up and down ramps, looking at objects on display and reading factual descriptions about the history of BMW, including its activities during WW2. All displays are no touch. There are a few small screen video feeds and several areas to rest and pause. For enthusiast of cars and motorcycles, there are plenty of eye candies to drool over.

If you are cats lover, you will enjoy it. It has rich content. Not a fan of the museum journey experience, we were bet confused of where to start and where to go next. In general, highly recommended.

A must see place once visiting Munich. Nice cars and history. It is also good that there is no barrier and you can closely explore the cars. The only missing point is that the station wagon section was closed due to renewal.

A museum for BMW-lovers, but I’ve had hoped for more. I have really loved to see more cars, prototypes, concept cars etc etc. But what was there were nice! The cafe was good.

We did the holy trinity of German car museums this week; Porsche, Mercedes and BMW, so it's nice to compare all 3. All 3 as polished and slick as their cars. No complaints from car fans or non car fans. The history and development of all 3 brands are well explained and illustrated with beautiful cars. Plenty for 2 teenage car lovers to enthuse about. At BMW, there are fewer interactive displays than Mercedes, but more technical and engineering stuff on show. Combined with all the katest models in BMW Welt and the stunning architecture, the ticket price is well worth the visit.

I'm absolutely amazed by the quantity of rare, historical, sport cars and motorbikes. The place itself is an architecture masterpiece. It's one of those places you must visit before you die, if you're a car enthusiast. There are many side paths that leads you to a specific rooms for example: every bmw series 3 car, the M room, design room. You can even find Elvis's car ;) Beautiful place

A good display of the history, present, and future of BMW, though the future is better presented in BMW world next door. The cafe there was nice, and the cars and motorcycles were beautiful. I would have liked to be able to touch more and the fact that there was no real AC hurt the experience.

This museum was amazing. It had bunch of interactive features that were very educational and fun to play with. Even though it was pretty packed when we were there, we saw everything we wanted and more. Definitely would visit again.

See the origin of the most admire car of nation. BMW's lover or automobile should visit for learning and explore the innovation and development of BMW from the root to the future. The proper time could up to 2-3 hrs coz some exhibition may have multimedia and interaction to show.

It was well worth a visit, even if you're not a car fan. A route map or numbering system through the museum might prove helpful, to ensure you don't miss anything - even if this was digitally via your mobile phone (the only reason I deducted a star). The museum staff couldn't have been more helpful in choosing the best value ticket for our visit. My daughter particularly enjoyed seeing Elvis' BMW Roadster restored, and singing along to 'Return to Sender' at the mic stand! It was well sign posted from the inner ring road, which was a bonus as a UK driver.

If you are q car person then I would check this out. Some shopping, food and drinks. Super cool cars. Old and brand new. 10 euros to get into the museum. BMW world is free to look at the new stuff. Overall nice day.

Amazing museum ! Even if you are not a car fan, it is a must. Very easy to navigate and if you are a student you get a discount. I think normal price is 9 euros and 7 for students.

Every enthusiasts dream place but as much as it was interesting and had some good cars/bikes it sort of lacked my expectations. I wanted more, more M cars, Alpinas, maybe even a car to sit in but it's all a bit bland considering. I did learn a few things and would recommend but don't go in expecting a 10 star wow factor

Lovely museum, especially if you are passionate about cars in general and BMW in particular. ❤️🚘 I consider the tickets be a bit pricier 💸 than expected for 1-1.5 hour exposition, but even though, this visit worth it. I would say that this place lands on the second place of auto exhibitions just between Nr.1 Mercedes-Benz and Nr.3 Porsche museums in Stuttgart.

Nice! But not that much as the Purchase Museum. It's funny to catch a typing mistake from German to English, not in letters, no, no, it's just in numbers, ladies and gentlemen! See the first picture and let me know what you think about it. But and to be fair, the only reason I am not awarding a full 5-star rating is because some visitors might feel that the entrance fees are slightly high. However, the wealth of knowledge, stunning displays, and the overall immersive experience make it worth every penny. I definitely recommend this place. A lot of interesting cars from the old days to today. You need around 3-4 hours to see everything without needing to be fast.

Visited November 2023 and enjoyed a lot. The architecture of the building itself is fantastic. If you’re a BMW fan it’s a must visit. In comparison to the Porsche/Mercedes museum in Stuttgart it is smaller and with fewer cars to see (way more motorbikes though, especially the special exhibition) but enjoyable nonetheless. It took me around 1h30 mins to enjoy the whole museum.

This is a very well designed museum of the history of BMW. The interiors and architecture is mind blowing. You will enjoy it thoroughly even if you are not a car enthusiast. It is a pitty it is only BMW.

The museum has an entry ticket of 10€ without guide, 20€ with a guide. The BMW world area has no entry fee, you can sit in some of the cars, on some of the bikes on display. In the museum you are not allowed to touch any cars, bikes, or engine parts. This place is worth visiting. The history of BMW is displayed beautifully. It takes about 4-5 hours to see all the levels in both the areas. The two buildings are set apart but connected with a bridge. You can also cross the road and reach one build from another. I started with the BMW world building then visited the museum. The museum is vast. Don't miss the airplane engines on display.

You get to know the history of BMW, explore cars, motorbikes, engines and other car internals. Museum is big, there is a cafeteria/bistro in the entrance. Great experience. Entrance is 10 EUR, better to buy tickets online so that you have a fast track entrance. You can also scan the QR code there and quickly buy tickets online on the spot.

We expected more from the museum itself, where new cars and motorcycles are top notch, museums don’t provide headphones, the history and eras are completely incomprehensible, you need to take a guided tour, there at certain times. The site for purchasing online tickets does not work, the site is bad. There's a line outside, we're frozen, try buying online and you'll be invited. Not the first museum, but a completely terrible organization.
