Nasi beriani from this stall was out of this world. I ordered the lamb nasi beriani and at RM10. The portion quite generous and enough for me send my wife. Taste wise, the sauce was so superb and addictive. Lamb was so soft and flavourful. WOW. 5 stars

Year in year out the taste never change. The best nasi briyani so far . So said it is famous in Batu Pahat but in actual fact it is famous all over the world! People like me are just a bunch of foodspa people that ever willing to drive hundreds of miles just to eat May Shah’s briyani. My favourite are the lamb but the chicken briyani are delicious too. A must eat kinda meal . It never disappoints me . Must pre warn that the queue can long so be patient ya. But it is worthwhile . Lamb briyani is RM10/plate which for me can be shared by two person . Chicken briyani RM8/plate. Must eat with the acar buah & dalca. They had moved to a new area just next to the old outlet. Open daily but every Friday they are close.

Nasi Beriani Mohd Shah is a Malaysian food icon - ready to serve the masses at 8am, you can even have their signature beriani for breakfast! They only sell 2 dishes here, one is chicken beriani, and the other mutton beriani. Their beriani is really delicious, and are well worth the long travel from KL or JB. The portion of their beriani is quite large and the prices are reasonable. Do get their mutton beriani if you can eat it, as I feel it is more delicious, but their chicken is pretty good too. Highly recommended!

Md Shah Beriani Restaurant is a great spot for those looking for a cheap and tasty meal. The restaurant can get crowded, but the staff does a good job of accommodating through the crowds and providing quick and friendly service. The lamb beriani is a benchmark dish at the restaurant and for good reason, as it is absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a legendary taste, and is definitely worth a visit for anyone in the area. The customer service is also very good, which is a big plus. Overall, Md Shah Beriani Restaurant is a great choice for anyone looking for a tasty and affordable meal.

You might be mistaken to assume that this is just another typical mamak stall but rest assured, they serve one of the best and most authentic nasi briyani in this country! Ask any locals and most will recommend this place. Ordering was easy, serving was fast, and the food was yummylicious! We ordered mutton and chicken (you can choose which part you prefer). Rice was aromatic and flavourful. The accompanying meat was tender and juicy to every bite. Even the accompanying vegetables was satisfying. Great food!

Absolutely delicious nasi briyani. Had the mutton biryani, the fragrance of the mutton was nicely absorbed by the well cooked basmati rice. The mutton was soft and tender. Did not need to use the gravy provided as the oil of the mutton nicely infused into the rice thus the rice did not feel dry.

6 of us went to have Nasi Beriani Mohd Shah. The lamb Beriani is good but lots of bone compare to meat and expensive too, compared to 2 years ago. The Chicken Beriani is fairly good. Nowadays only Rice, meat & gravy and dalca gravy given, no more cucumber pineapple salad. A very long queue on both takeaway and dine-in lane.

The kambing is not like before.. it's a bit hard to eat. The rice also not anymore soft. I don't know why. It's my favorite restaurant when I visit Batu Pahat. Need to find another place then.

It was fine. Food was average, drinks was average, price resonable, cleanliness wise needs improvement. Toilet well....I suggest regular cleaning would be better.

a meal that is unavoidable. It never lets me down. Lamb briyani costs RM10 per plate, which in my opinion allows for two people to share. RM8 per plate of chicken briyani. Eat alongside the acar buah and dalca. They had relocated to a new location close to the previous store. Open every day, but closed on Fridays.

My very first time try this place after read so many reviews. Already try several top picks briyani in Batu Pahat and Parit Sulong. I select both Chicken and Lamb. The portion size is enough to make you full all day long. I would give 4.5 star for lamb and 4 star for chicken eventhough the taste is identical. You need to purchase add on Acar Buah to have another 0.5 star make them 5 star briyani kambing. The shop is on the other side of the food area, facing the river.
