We went to the stadium for a G'n'R concert. The concert was great, absolutely superb, but it was ridiculous that you had to walk out basically from the whole stadium to get to a toilet or have a refill to your beer. I've seen much-much better in similar size

What a beautiful Amazing architecture of the Munic Olympic stadium. Built in 1972.. the building is full of glass work done. Great work. They are protected and now it is like a historical landmark. Daily visitors came and enjoyed the beauty of the Olympic park and Stadium.

Amazing experience at the European Track and Field Champions! I was able to witness the current world record holder crush the competition as well as several other well known athletes perform at the highest levels. The beer and wursts are a little expensive but super tasty to round out the experience.

I went there for the Ed Sheeran’s concert and I loved having the opportunity to know this stadium. It is really beautiful and huge! As per going to see a concert I think it was great. Good organisation make the entrance fast. There are signs everywhere it is very easy to find your place. Many places to buy food and drink around, although massive queues. There are bathrooms everywhere and I was very surprised how clean they were. Even if there were a lot of girls waiting, it was a very fast queue, which was great. Also the area is super nice as well, many places to buy something to eat or drink, good public toilets and a very nice place just to go for a picnic.

Great view of the gig all around the stadium, and excellent sound, which weve found is hard to come by in many UK venues. Easy accessibility via the train and underground from within and outside of Munich. Beautiful surroundings in the Olympic Park, including a short walk up the man-made hill to see views over the park and the city. Many choices for food and drink within and outside the venue and a good atmosphere built all afternoon. The only issues we found were that it wasn't obvious which entrance we were meant to use (Our tickets were marked 'East entrance' and only North and South seemed to exist) and the time it takes to enter the venue as security and ticket check is slow, so make sure you make your way into the stadium early. Otherwise, it was very good and we would have no issue returning for future events.

Great concert experience. Access and entrance to the stadium was swift and convenient. A lot of staff assistance throughout. Park itself provided a good vibe. All in all, very enjoyable and memorable.

Beautiful Amy time of year. The place always has something going on and many people just come to the park for a Sunday stroll.

The stadium is impressive, the architecture and history around the Olympic Stadium create a special atmosphere that is difficult to describe in words.

The Olympia stadium is one of the highlights in Olympia Park, a key feature in Germany's recent history. It was a memorable experience being here. Next to it there is the Olympia tower, a beautiful pond which has hand impressions of many international celebrities who, perhaps, performed at the stadium, along it's bank. It is about a five minute walk from this place to the BMW Welt & Museum. I would highly recommend visiting the Olympia Park, great place for a family/friends to spend a whole day.

Just outside Munich city centre, easy to get to by the metro system. An iconic sporting arena. If you’re a sports fan, it’s a must visit. Give yourself a couple of hours here.

The architectural and structural design of the stadium was remarkable. Even in strong winds, the plexiglass roof remained perfectly stable, which was quite impressive. The surrounding park area is expansive. However, the entrance fee to the stadium felt steep considering it only allows a view of the empty facility. Be aware that parking costs are high. On a positive note, the restrooms were well-maintained and clean.

I was there for a concert with Bruce Springsteen. The venue itself is worthwhile a visit. Even more than 50 years after its inauguration the architecture is still stunning. With my favorite rock musician it was even better.

Amazing stadium both to look at and to visit. If you are ever in Munich, I highly recommend checking it out via a stadium tour (that are mostly on weekends). I cannot really put it into words why I enjoy it that much. It is a very important part of Munich's history and current skyline

Very interesting place for people who love architecture and construction. This type of building shows how Germans do detailed construction work.

As an architect the place is awesome, even more all covered by snow! But the access is expensive, the atention of the employee was so bad, she didn't told us about the Phone-guide tour app..

I simply love the Olympic Stadium in Munich. Located in the Olympic Park, right in the center of Munich it is the prefect venue for different kind of events like concerts, sport events, etc. The architecture is very unique and beautiful. You can tour the stadium and as highlight you can tour the roof of even zip line yourself across the stadium

It is not that often that you will see an impressive building like the Olympic stadium in Munich. From outside, the stadium look breathtaking, with the spikes over one stand that resemble mountains. The stadium is as well very often used for events like concerts and festivals. While I was not present in the stadium itself during a concert, I went to the hill in the Olympiapark which looks over the stadium during an Ed Sheeran concert, and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The stadium look magical during the concert. As I was not inside, I was able to see the whole stadium during the concert, and the fireworks that came afterwards.

Went to the stadium for the 'Love on Tour' concert from Harry Styles. Was an amazing experience and didn't experience any major issues except for some delays, which is expected due to the size of the crowd.

Perfect open air concert stadium. When ordering a beer go straight for the 'Mass Bier'. It's 1ltr but it's especially worth it when the queue is 20 minutes long. My attached picture is from my 2nd Depeche Mode concert but so many bands have played here (i.e. I've seen Robbie Williams, ACDC, Metallica, Bon Jovi, The Pretenders, etc). If a band can fill this stadium then they've made it. If you're made of sugar candy and want cover from the rain make sure you book the west side. It has a roof. The other sides are open to the skies (the way it should be). Public transport is available but returning home can get full (70,000 fans leaving all at once). The transport system can cope very well. You will soon be on your way. Car parking is available but I would strongly recommend taking the public transport instead. There are limited spaces and the queues to get home are horrendous. Some concert tickets have public transport included in the price. Look for the 'MVV' text somewhere on the ticket. Queues to get in are not that bad. From the underground, you have a slowish 20 minute walk to the stadium with everyone else.

It’s located in a beautiful park near the metro and tram station. The organisation was nice and we found our sector / seats really easy. It was soo beautiful with the sky above and the acoustic was perfect!

Lovely old stadium in a lovely park. Great place to wander around. Special place for me as it's where Forest won their 1st European cup in 1979 😁

I really enjoyed the layout of the venue. We saw PINK on Wednesday and she did not disappoint. She put on a fantastic show! I just wish they served other food besides brats and pretzels. Pizza and/or wraps would be nice.

Recently I went to see P!NK in concert and had a fantastic evening. Lots of places to eat and drink at the stadium and very friendly staff. The DJ did an excellent job and The Script as supporting band were amazing 😍

Clear 5 Star rating. Even 50 year after construction the design is still modern. A timeless beauty! The whole ensemble with stadium and park is great. As event location it is very well reachable, the view and acoustic is perfect and it has its own atmosphere. . . All my reviews are based on personal experience, my own preferences and price/value relation. Check out @carstenhoff on Instagram for travel, city and landscape photography

Olympic stadium is simply iconic. That atmosphere during our 2023 Pink concert was electric. Announced attendance 70,000+

Stunning stadium built in 1972 for the Olympic Games and still looks modern With the Olympic tower over looking the stadium and city

Building from the 70s, large and concrete. Seats and aisles narrow, stairs steep. Sales of drinks, food, sweets, pretzels and cocktails. Meanwhile there are so many concert goers and so few parking spaces or trains, it took 45 minutes to drive out of the hot garage and another 30 to walk to the other side of the park.

Fascinating and modern design especially if you have in mind that it's been designed about 50 years ago for the 1972 Olympics in Munich. There's a (rather) expensive tour over the rooftop with explanation on the structure. You can get back faster with an (optional) zipline which is approximately 200 m long. If you like ziplines and you're not afraid jumping off of rooftops here's a way and place to go to in Munich !

Went to the sports club day to see the different sporting options available in the Munich area. I found out you can walk on the roof, but it was fully booked on the day.

Definitely worth a visit to add to your itinerary in Munich. Wonderful walks around the park. Highly recommend ascending the pathway up to the Olympia berg, which provides an amazing viewing platform across the entire city. You can make out the Alps in the far distance and easily identify the landmarks in the old town. The Olympic park is a great base to explore the infamous stadium, visit the nearby Tower and for car enthusiasts stroll down to the BMW Welt and Museum. You can easily spend a full day here.

Really historic place where an Olympic was held at this ground. Especially loved how this park is preserved and the locals enjoying the facilities. There's a small hill to climb for u to observe parts of the city, including the nearby BMW buildings. A worthwhile place to spend a morning walking around.

An iconic stadium but one that’s seen much better days now. Poor facilities, uncomfortable seats, and no shade on a hot day. You can see why Bayern moved rather than renovate, but I’m glad they haven’t knocked this down.

Concert, sounds, view, seats and venue were all great. Lines for toilets EXTREMELY long, so go before you come. They need to work out a different way to give people back their pfand after the concert- took far too long with 1000's of people trying to get their money back. Then after a VERY long walk back to the Ubahn station, crowds were at a standstill. Express buses to other stations were announced after more than an hour in a very restless crowd, that wasn't moving. MVV need to put on MORE trains AND buses after a concert here to avoid this in the future. Took more than 2 hours to get home after the concert to Neuperlach Süd. Not good enough. Harry Styles was brilliant as always though!

Beautiful and well preserved stadium. The interior tour costs money but you can walk around the exterior and rest of the complex for free.

  • 5/5 David R. 2 years ago on Google
So many memories.. Tour is € 3,50 for adults, kids under 6 are free, however it's only to visit the stadium, no dressing rooms or the like. Architecture is amazing, but stop for a minute and think of the poor souls who had to sit through games in the pouring rain in the 1990s and early 2000 because the stubborn architect refused to alter the roof. Thanks, though, this gave us a real football stadium in the Allianz Arena.

It went to a Pink concert in 2019 and there was plenty of space for everybody that attended the concert. The commute to the stadium was east as well and the concert was amazing.

Lots of fun to walk around. It was super busy on Easter Sunday. Grab the sightseeing city tour(red bus) and go around the entire Munich for $25/person...well worth it

I decided to visit this legendary football temple where the Olympics were organized and where Polish National Team made so many fond memories of their great achievements, including the gold medal in the Olympics football tournament!⚽️🇵🇱🥇🙌🏻 Great venue, still making incredible impression and a big 'wow!', once you get there in the stands. Really amazing architectural design with these one of a kind "spider's web" roof over the stadium!! Truly happy to have been there!🏟👍🏻

Amazing architecture , especially the special lightweight structures and glass elements. The European championship was a very nice experience to attend there. The stadium is well preserved, given the fact that it was built in the early 70’s , I must say it’s in a very good condition. The outdoor areas outside and around the stadium offer a wide range of activities for friends and families. Wether to enjoy a warm sunny day outside with a picnic or be it with more sports and activities in the amazing green landscape.

Great experience. One of my favourite stadiums in the world. If you're a fan of 70s sci-fi you'll love the architecture and design of this place. Check out the Olympic Village too for some further 70s futuristic chic

Small intimate stadium. Awesome architecture with a glass canopy. Too far away from the field owing to the track around it.
