I love the outdoor seating area and decor. Our bartender/waiter was very nice. The restaurant sits at a 3 way intersection which is kinda busy all night, but traffic is not obnoxiously loud. I actually saw this restaurant while driving by so when we got to our hotel which was probably 1-2 miles up the road we decided to walk down to this place. (It was then I thought but it was a nice night for walking). At the The Tavern restaurant, soft music plays in the background and few pedestrians are seen walking by. There are hotels all around and I think this restaurant is attached to one, but it is open to all. The food was served hot and the flavor was delicious. The drink was nice and cold and very good. Overall, very nice outdoor seating.

I stayed here 3 nights while my apartment a few blocks away was having some work done. I had my dog with me so it was a huge advantage to be able to bring him along. I wasn’t expecting too much but the service was great, food was reasonably priced and pretty good. Coffee was also really good which was a bonus. Especially when the Starbucks next door is 40% more expensive than regular Starbucks. I’ll definitely come back and hang out here.

To describe it in one word: meh! We came to The Tavern based on the IG photos and the looks from outside. The food looks nothing like the IG photos, it may have changed management, idk but the food is dissapointing. The orange juice in the menu says freshly squeezed, well no! That's fresh from the carton. The chocolate banana waffle is basically an ordinary waffle with a banana and puddles of artificial tasting chocolate syrup. It would have been better if they had added some choco chips to the waffle or even serve melted chocolate on the side. Again, disappointing. My scramble eggs with veggies and mozzarella was as the same level as the others. So I believe this is a place for tourists in nearby hotels. They'll come once and move to the next place. Not worth repeating.

I had their Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was terrible. I don’t know how you can mess up Mac n cheese. It was melty the cheese wouldn’t harden. There was an excess amount of salt on the top. The steak was over cooked it was also salty. There was a very small portion of steak. The mussels were also very salty. There was not a lot of service from the staff. It took a while for our WATER to come out let alone the food. No wonder they had 20% gratuity already included.

First got here to Miami Beach decidedly to go to the Tavern. The hostess was slow and so as our waiter, messed up on a few things but besides that, it was alright I ordered the steak tacos and was fulling and delicious. Few days later i wanted four orders of steak tacos to go and it was a mess nothing like our first Order. Pretty much a pencil strip of steak and looking a mess. Long story short eat there and you might get a full meal.

The service was the worst. Lazy personnel. The didn’t have a wide angle look. as soon as they saw that they were looking at them, the looked away or did leave the restaurant god knows where. Never a smile. Not a nice word. I had a shrimp taco - it was to much eggs on it and more so HUMAN HAIR!! And it wasn´t mine. It could have been so Good, but then you need to educate your staff. After that the check came and there was an increase of the price by 20% so you have no alternative than to pay tip. I want to make my own decision whether I pay tip or not. And I am a good tipper if service is good. This was the worst I experienced on my stay in Miami for 8 days.

Marie was extremely attentive and friendly for our entire week stay I could not have DREAMED of better service I will definitely be coming back here during my next visit to Miami! & apart from that Maya the bar manager was hospitable and made sure we were taken care of.

The food was ok. The best was the key lime cheesecake. Our waitress was very nice. She seemed new. 20% tip added automatically. $143 dollars for three people. One wine and one beer.

Today I had one of the worst experiences that I’ve ever at The Tavern at Oceanside. We ordered the steak and Eggs for breakfast for myself, a coffee for my husband, and a waffle for my daughter. I ordered over hard eggs and they were brought to me very runny; when I told the waiter, he told me the cooks don’t read the tickets and he offered to cook them over. At this point we had been waiting for our food from 8:15 to 8:40 am. I explained to him that we were in a hurry because we have to leave for my daughter’s game at the convention center at 9am. I kindly asked him to just take the eggs off my check. He told me he couldn’t do that, and proceeded to take the whole plate away from my table reaching over my face! Then, he grabbed my daughter’s plate who was in the middle of eating her waffles and almost hit her hand with the place. This server Marco should not be working in customer service. He also told me that there was no manager on site and that the manager allows him to act like that. Worst experience I’ve ever had at the beach! Will never come back and this place deserves ZERO stars. However, the hotel itself was nice and comfortable. The staff was great at check in/out. Furthermore, as you can see below. The hotel responded stating that the employee and manager (who never returned my call or text) nor was there…had a completely different version of the story. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting them to be truthful after the encounter we had. Truly a shame, the venue is pretty and it could have great success. However, not taking accountability for wrong doing is very detrimental to businesses. And for a man to be aggressively taking a plate from a female and an 11 year old girl is disgusting. Maybe they can use their onsite cameras to review what happened.

Thanks to our waiter Carter for the awesome service! Our low-key dinner turned into a large group as friends joined us throughout the night after arriving for a destination wedding. An unexpected large group is a challenge for any restaurant, but our waiter Carter was the highlight of our night, going above and beyond to accommodate us. And the food was delicious too! So appreciative of Carter’s awesome service and great attitude!!

Amazing food! Amazing service! Highly recommend. The seafood was great and their cocktail menu was delicious. I had the “kiss on the lips” recommended by our waiter Jefferey. Jefferey was so sweet and efficient. The food came quick and he checked in often. 10/10 service from him and just an overall wonderful experience!

Oh my God! The food was excellent! Jeffery is amazing and he made sure my birthday was perfect! Restaurant atmosphere is great and right across from our hotel. We walked across street for an upscale dinner and nice atmosphere! Jeffery you are the bomb! ~Sears Family

We had a very good meal here! We were craving fresh seafood, so we chose here! The calamari did not seem as fresh as we have had in the past. The mussels were good and the mahi & shrimp was fabulous! There was a guitarist playing which was a nice touch. Our only complaint was the waitstaff, it was very slow and not attentive at all. We felt rushed to leave, but the food was still good.

What a great place! Very nice spot to chill an grab a bite to eat. The Americana Burger was by far one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The shrimp tacos were also amazing.

Wow, Great little gem! The food was really good and the drinks were awesome. I was celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday and it was an amazing time but what really made it all come together was the service! Our waiter Carlos was great, very attentive and speedy with the drinks and the food He gave us a few suggestions and was very courteous! Definitely will be coming back! If you’re ever in Miami Beach stop by and ask for Carlos he will take care of you!

My first visit to this restaurant. The restaurant is spacious with seating areas both inside and out. Good selection on the menu at a reasonable price. The food is well-seasoned and tastes fantastic. The service is great. The restaurant was clean and tidy even though it was busy. If you're in the area pop in you will not regret it. It's also attached to a hotel I can't commit as I haven't stayed. 🙃

We Ordered a pizza, a salad and spaghetti. The spaghetti was small, pizza was a good size but was mediocre at best and our Caesar salad was served with zero dressing. When I pointed this out the server looked confused and when I asked him to replace it he returned with a small salad and dressing on the side. The bill was 120 dollars with three dunks. Service is below average.

Amazing time at the Tavern! Carlos was our our waiter, and he did an excellent job at making us feel comfortable, welcomed, and well catered to. The food was delicious, and the menu had lots of variety. Reasonable prices and great location. Would come back again!

Our server Jeffery was awesome and explained the menu and gave honest opinions about the dishes. Ended up ordering the shrimp scampi which was out of this world. Thank you Jeffery!!

Jeffery greeted us and showed us to be seated. When he was ready to take our orders, he memorized our entire order including the drinks without taking notes! Usually servers come with open and paper, Jeffery was spot on. The venue is sparkling right fit for max group of 4 I'd recommend it for you. Very bubbly place. The food is very well priced. At night the lights give it a lot of life. We had dinner so we were fortunate to experience this venue. The bar is great bringing tourists to keep scenic atmosphere.

Great food, great atmosphere, and competitive prices considering the area. Our server Jeffery was amazing. He was friendly, funny, and an overall wonder. Make sure to drop by between 5PM and 6PM for an endless complimentary drink for Oceanside guests!

This place was amazing. Pedro, our bartender, made the most amazing kettle one martinis. just how we like it. Will be coming back soon!

Jeffrey was very accommodating when we had a special allergy request. He made sure that we still were able to experience the same great food as everyone else at The Tavern! The Juicy Lucy was the best I’ve ever had and the coke was the most expensive. But in the end it was worth it all. Whoever chose the playlist is on point. But getting back to the main reason I am leaving this review…ask for Jeffrey. He should promoted to manager! He was professional, polite, and Personable.

Cozy spot in north Miami Beach, good bar menu. The manager Anthony is amazing guy, servers are humble, polite and friendly. Love the ambience of the place with lot of greens around and open space. Also nice music with good company can be lot of fun.
