STAY AWAY! It’s a nightmare This is the worst hotel you can think of, be ready to meet giant cockroaches and lots of bugs in your room. I got severe food poisoning at the buffet dinner. All they had is rice, potato, and one fish, chicken and meat. That’s all you will choose from. One receptionist running the business. Dirty rooms and forget about privacy. Good luck for honeymooners. Toilet is inside bedroom , no separation wall and not covered.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but alas, that's what this experience was, overall, and ruined the end of my trip to Mauritius. The staff were honestly horrible, so rude, and truly just not right to work in customer service. I made a semi-last minute booking (1.5 hours before getting there), and it took a half an hour to give me my key and they were so unpleasant. The only plus was that the security guard was great. The food was honestly fine, and the breakfast was solid. The view can't be beat, seriously. The pool area was good too, and the beachfront spot obviously was stellar. I didn't have time to try the waterfront activities but I would have with more time. The rooms were clean enough, but did have a smell, but I am attributing that to the beach proximity. Beds were fine, but unfortunately, there was no hot water at the end of the day - just lukewarm. I couldn't wait to leave, and thankfully it was only for one night. However, it was not terrible, and nothing catastrophic happened. Just could have been better! So set your expectations to low if/when booking this place.

This Resort is Amazing !! ALL the staff are friendly and helpful!! The food was tasty, every evening they offered a different culture buffet menu. Great value for money! It was an amazing experience I will definitely advice everyone to visit this resort with the whole family!

The hotel was acceptable.The food ok. Staff excellent. They do play loud music all day until 11pm so not good if you are looking for a quiet stay. We stayed in a beach front room on the ground floor. If you are staying for more than a few days there is nowhere to put your clothes. Two bedside draws you could probably manage to get a couple of bikinis in . A wardrobe with no doors which hold about a dozen coat hangers and that's it. Rooms are clean with a nice bathroom. We did see a few mice and one in our room.A good point is our flight was late and we were allowed to keep our room until we left.

Beautifully located hotel. Blue Bay is more beautiful than Flic and Flac in my opinion. Hotel staff at the highest level, food very tasty and varied. The rooms were very clean, cleaned every day and there were fresh towels every day, even when there was no need for them. The bartender made great and tasty drinks. Evenings are always well planned, performances, shows, fun, also live music. The entire trip passed very quickly and in comfortable conditions. I heartily recommend it to everyone. Congratulations are in order for all the staff. I would love to come back to this place someday.

Decent enough staff, horrible food. Some days, the food is so lacklustre it’s shocking even for a 3-star resort. Just attached is the chicken you will be seeing. Like, a lot of times. Also, there’s mostly bones in there. Want to take a hot shower at the end of a day at the beach? Lukewarm is the new hot in Le Peninsula. The hotel is also known to host so called “staff parties” for other, larger and more expensive chains. This was very disruptive for the guests, bringing in huge outside crowds that use the same premises as the actual guests, with loud music, etc. Also worth noting, the wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom is see through, leaving very little room for privacy, even for a married couple as ourselves. Besides that, there’s very little evening entertainment, but that’s probably expected for the price range. Avoid, if you can, or set your expectations to low when booking this place.

Staff courteous and service is excellent. The resort is not cheap but it was worth it. Lovely beach, rocky but great, Sunrise and Sunset fabulous. Would have loved to stay there longer with family and forget about the world for a while... Internet and gym available

A fantastic 5 day holiday and very helpful and welcoming staff. Law, whom I believe is the manager at the moment was very helpful and kind for all of our needs. The entertainment and bar staff were always communicative and you can tell that the people who worked there were happy to be there! Rooms were beautifully cleaned daily, food was average, but a great variety for all types of eaters. Snorkeling equipment was free daily for 40 minutes and the beach access to the hotel and the public beach and activities was perfect!!! Restaurants in walking distance as well as a supermarket! I would definitely return, we loved our stay! And the safety we felt while vacationing there!!!

The team is great and willing to support. The hotel is old and the bathroom attached to the bedroom. Takes long time for hot water to come. The safety here is not 100% since the rooms are way of any surveillance camera.

The worst hotel I‘ve ever been to. Construction work was going on the WHOLE NIGHT and no one cared about that. Rooms are dirty and we had stomach problems after dinner! This was the greatest nightmare and nothing you need on your vacation.

The only thing I can save, it’s the employees. The room was awful, all the furniture was broken, the food it’s ok, but imprinted on creoles cuisine, ain’t no international. Music all the day long, it’s impossible to get a nap. Birthdays often during the week and if you have the room over the lunch room became complicated to sleep, because the rooms are not at all soundproofed. At the end, it’s better to go outside to relax. Unfortunately a bad experience

I'm not your guest but surely your staff are ill-mannered. They remain on stairs and keep staring at people's on the beach and gossip,l wonder if they're being paid to work there or spy on beach and making fun of people.

Rated as a 3 star hotel, with a little finesse here & the it could easily be 4 star. The location is magnificent, beautiful sunsets, snorkeling every single day just of the beach. Lovely pool just slightly on the shallow side. 1meter deep to be exact. The rooms are good & spacious but needs a bit of updating here & there. Food options are also good with full board.

Beautiful private beach, staff is really nice and always helpful :) the hotel in general is very pretty. Recommending the spa! I also like the shows in the evening. Points for improvement: food for breakfast, very limited choice and not really good, food for dinner is expensive and also not exceptional. Finally, the doors in the rooms are not straightly built, so you have air passing and it's extremely noisy when people are talking or playing petanque.

Was there for only a short trip. The food was good, but if you arrive a bit later than the start time, you might not get from the complete selection. Karaoke every night when I was there. Weather at the time was not the best.

Good hotel, nice rooms with friendly staffs. But takes time to get hot water in shower & Buffet can be improved with more variety. Limited parking else you have to park outside hotel.

We just ate here. The food was excellent a buffet with lots of variety. We went for the all inclusive drinks and the cocktails were very nice.

We only had one night here as it was close and convenient from the airport, but I definitely wish we had 1 more night! The location is beautiful, the staff were terrific and the facilities were great.

DONT BOOK HERE!!! - Our "bed" was broken and the bed was actually just a matrass laying on some woorden boxes - There were insects in our bed and bedroom - Half of the time the shower didn't work - The food was disgusting and there were cats, birds and insects on the buffet food. They didn't restock the buffet food and the restaurant staff were very unfriendly - We could not talk to each other during diner because there was VERY loud music playing in the bar right next to the restaurant - We had to stay up until past midnight because there was VERY loud music playing downstairs. We wanted to watch some netflix in the evening and even on the loudest volume of my macbook, we still had to put on subtitles to be able to understand it. So the music was very very loud and we were so tired! - People at the reception never said goodmorning or goodevening or something like that when we passed by. They just sat there hiding with a cap and hoodie on on their phones so we didn't feel welcome at all. - I had a very big insect bite on my foot after the first night sleeping there. My entire foot was swollen and the bite was around 3cm diameter. I've never had this before. People at the reception didn't even care Good parts: The swimming pool area was beautiful, the views of blue bay were very beautiful so i would def book in the same area again, but NEVER in this horrible hotel.

Stayed in a Deluxe Beachfront Room (just for reference). Room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Air conditioning was great for warm nights. Sliding doors from room to small personal terrace with seats in shade, stepping out onto the private hotel beach, which you can step down onto the public beach and go for a swim. Beautiful small birds are seen and heard and blend beautifully to the sounds and smell of the sea. Meals at half board were breakfast and dinner buffet. Staff usually speak multiple languages but will have another person to you in seconds if they can better assist you. When checking out the hotel has a locked room to safely store your luggage if you have a late flight which they often expect. Staff are always helpful and accomodating where possible. Personally I had an extremely enjoyable experience. The hotel was roughly fifteen minutes by car to the airport. Very convenient. There is a taxi service located just outside that can take you to the closest supermarket about ten minutes away. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The Mauritian hospitality is very welcoming and the positive vibes are passed on to those who visit.

Hotek is Too pricey for the average service offered. Staffs r friendly.was in a deluxe room on the ground floor,which was very nice.no hot water in the shower.if u r a vegetarian, u have very limited options .even for non veg,variety is limited for the price u r paying. Good for one night..rooms r clean

It's ok. There is a pool, seaside location. People are friendly also parking is available. Breakfast buffet is decent but nothing special. Rooms are clean so are the bedsheets. My room was a bit on the small side for me, also i did expect a desk where i can sit on and do something (work/read/write). The small round table that comes in the room does not work for me, it's good to relax with drink and a book but no more than that. Bathroom is good and clean, there is only shower but for that is a plus for me. Kettle for hot water is available comes with complementary teas and instant coffee (the vanilla tea that they offer is quite nice). All and all very decent but for the price I expected a bit more, also the fact that there is no closed up wardrobe bothers me. However they have a lot of other rooms so my opinion is based on this the one I was in, room 47. I was also initially put in room 51 but it had two small beds and it felt more like a corridor IMHO. Edit: some other things to add. The breakfast is ok. There is not super large variety of foods but here is what I was missing: cheeses (only cheddar like cheese was available), vegetables, dark/whole grain bread - you had varieties of white bread and baguette which were good but they were lacking something. Ham/bacon and eggs are available. They will make you fresh omelettes and crepes (jams and honey were nice). One thing that was bothering me was the daily karaoke and music which were a bit loud but ok i can accept it as it is a holiday hotel (not optimal if you are business traveler). Maybe a different room would be better.

We have been staying here for a week now and still about 4 days left here. Its a nice place but be prepared to be disturbed and wake up around 7.30 am every morning. The room cleaners yell and talk to each other every single morning in the hallway and it all echoes and wakes everyone up. Every morning! No chances. No care factor for the guests. And during the times the hotel gets busy be prepared to endure cold showers (wknd days when the hotel is busy). Other than this the hotel is nice and clean and great location.

Decent Resort for the price. The family room is spacious, looks nice and equipped with everything. They also have some water activities for free. However, the food is just OK and they served rotten bread (green) for breakfast. They only realized when we told them!!! They also played loud music at night which kept us all awake, it was absolutely annoying. The gym is very outdated, dirty and most machines don't work.
