Have to say they’re the worst bouncers I’ve seen at any club. Came all the way from Wales to have a night out with a friend to be told we won’t be getting let in due to where we’re from and accent even though we bought tickets beforehand. After just going in circles we decided to just leave anyway, would advise everyone to avoid this place.

Such an odd venue. The children that run this place won’t let you in if you're on your own? Seriously? You have to come with another person. Why? I was told, 'in case there’s any issues the other person can look after you'? What utter degenerates. Why would there be issues? Why does someone need to look after you. In no other country (of the 50+ I've travelled to, or anywhere else in the UK) have I ever experienced this. This is laughable to look at this guys with their limited perspective and naivety to think they even know what’s going on in the world or what life is. What kind of venue or culture have your cultivated/established where the type of clientele you get are likely to be mindless such that they need a babysitter? And how about if both people babysitting each other both get drunk? What will there be a new policy of having three people? Then four? Where does it stop? Einsteins at this place. I don't think anywhere else in Reading does this - what makes this place so unique !! Yo.. my advice.. carry on.

Horrible club. Bouncers do not try to reason with you whatsoever; they do not have a breathalyser, so they literally kicked out someone who hadn't drank anything in the venue (despite being let in 10 minutes earlier). We Went to gun street garden instead, much better. Never going to q club again. Also, the manager started swearing at us when we asked why they can't just reevaluate whether this person is drunk.

Terrible club, bouncers are horrible and seem to pick on people for no reason. I'm guessing it's because they're bored and it makes their night more interesting, well sure it does for them - but it ruined ours. Went to gun street garden, got let in no problem which is 5 minutes away. In addition, why let someone in to q club and then kick them out 10 minutes later when they haven't drank anything additional? Eitherway, just rude and a bad club.

I was barred in 2017 and am still barred the reason for me being barred is because I am a BLACK GUY that wore white jeans and yeezy high tops which were white. At first I wasn’t allowed in because of my white shoes. However I had a bag on me which had black trainers in it. Which when I changed into them. I still wasn’t allowed in. 1 year later I was still banned. Couldn’t reason with the bouncers And I decided to go back in December 2021 and I’m still barred. Q CLUB is a racist establishment if you are BLACK u should not be giving them your money. Im not a trouble maker just a normal guy looking to go out and enjoy myself but there establishment is fully racist. As they have no footage of me fighting outside or causing trouble so the only explanation I’m barred is because when I tried to go in that night it was me and 5 other black guys. And they assumed we were trouble makers for being black and barred me for it

Oh dear. Upon £8 entry for the two of us I asked the bouncer ‘what’s it like here? He paused and replied ‘ it’s ok, we are new, play some old stuff ‘ To the bar; Asked for the tap beer. Run out, tap wine rose, none, red, nope. Cider none. 2 Luke warm Peronis, thanks very much. 1 broken debit reader and £10 later. We are out. Bye

Over friendly bouncer, they just perv on all the woman they deem worthy and look at you like a piece of meat you can guarantee they will ask for uour number or Snapchat thinking they can get lucky. The female bouncer with brown hair seems to be in a world of her own. She isn't doing anything except trying to desperately get attention from the men. The bar staff are lovely and seem to always have a smile even when the crowd is being a bit much for them. The bouncers seem to have a high and mighty attitude on them with the men customers the music is relatively good. The dance floor is a bit sticky. You can clearly see they let in under age females aswell. Not as classy as its made our to be.

I was caught vaping whilst leaving the club with friends, the bouncers shoved me and threatened me. No warning nothing, straight to physical force. Complete wan*ers, be careful all the guys do not have a GCSE to their name. ***UPDATE went 2 weeks later, I was overly drunk but they grabbed me by the neck and punched me, bouncers are the worst. Owners need to make changes ASAP

Disgrace of a place, discriminatory towards people with disabilities. The manager(George), or atleast he claims to be the manager is a rude and inconsiderate ar*ehole. I’m sure he’ll get his just deserts soon. The bouncers are literally thick beyond belief and can’t process anything other than kicking people out. Wa*k stains, the lot of them.

Q Club can be a great experience! The music is generally of good quality, the drinks are reasonably priced and the lighting and mood is good. However, the bouncers have been very unreasonable, one of the bouncers is excellent but I have seen bouncers trying to get very extremely drunk girls numbers amongst other predatory behaviour. Me, my girlfriend and two of her friends went one time and it was good fun despite the bouncers taking ages to let us in. Another time I saw three boys verbally abusing some girls in front of the bouncers and they did absolutely nothing despite them obviously being uncomfortable. Illegal drug use and dealing is common and overlooked in the club, spiking was very common in 2021-22 but has improved. Overall a fine experience, but I would never, ever count on the bouncers to be your friend here.

The most weird night club. They will not allow you if you are single. If you ask why and tell them no where in their website says like that when purchasing their ticket, they would say, we are the one we decide (the guards). I never ever heard such weird night club that gives access to couples but not singles. Don’t waste your time and money to go this place, they are not different in anyway from the online scammers.

Great priced drinks, with little to no wait at the bars. However the overall experiences is hindered by the uneasy feeling that your not at a nightclub but instead in the exercise yard of a maximum security prison. Whilst the music tends to be good, having people around you being constantly bundled away by burley men just rather takes away from the overall enjoyment of the evening. Nevertheless, if your happy to accept the uncanny similarities between Q-Club and the movie the Thinning, it is a great night out in Reading!

My friends and I got a VIP booth for my friends 20th birthday. The service was great! My friend even got given a chocolate cake, a helium balloon and a birthday sash (which was such a generous touch!) We also pre-booked the ‘birthday booth’ which included a bottle of Bottega gold on QClub!! Thank you so much for a amazing, memorable night! We will be coming again for my birthday for sure!!

Extremely outdated music, blocked toilets, rude staff (doormen and managers are racist towards Nepalese people .. very clear to see) and everyone here is very clearly underage … not worth your time or money!

They disciminate against single males, wasn't planning on a night out in Reading but plans got cancelled for the following day. Wasn't allowed in this club for no other reason than I was on my own.

I was going through the website when I came across these very strange and bordering on discriminately entry and dress code rules.. DRESS CODE Q Club operates a dress code that we ask all customers to follow. No hats. No tracksuits/sportswear. No timberland or work boots. No visible neck/facial tattoos. No entry for any one on their own.? Once I read this I thought ..thats is one place you don't wanna be and judging by the reviews I was correct.

As a student in the area I love QClub. Always come here for a night out with my friends. We love the events, cheap drinks and always feel looked after by the bouncers. I feel like the vibe has shifted with the change of management, the music is definitely better now too. I ended up hiring out room 2 for my 22nd birthday.

Bouncers are rude and pushy. 99% of the attendees are creeps. Expensive drinks after 12 (but there's no point in going before as it's dead). Music is pretty dull.

Literally the only reason this place gets any business is by default of being the only actual club in reading. Manned by a team of bouncers suffering from small man syndrome who are just looking for a reason to throw their weight around with a bunch of kids.

This club is one of the best clubs in Reading, the drinks are affordable and the atmosphere is really good. All the staff are friendly including the security guards and I felt welcomed right away. I would definitely recommend this club for to both students and locals looking for a good, memorable night out! I will be coming back again for sure!

Something needs to be done with the bouncers. Before the change in management, my brother was literally beaten up out the back by two bouncers. Punched and had his head slammed into a wall. All because he slipped on a wet floor, which in itself is a liability issue for the club. I’ve heard a good amount of recent horror stories. Even if he resisted, there’s no excuse for striking someone. That’s not reasonable force, it’s not self defence. Their function is to neutralise and eject people who breach the club rules. When presented with two aggressive men in an alleyway without camera coverage, my brother would’ve had every right to protect himself. There are two clear cut criminal breaches and a pretty clear cut civil issue. These bouncers need to be monitored more closely or someone is going to get hurt. Hopefully the new management are taking steps to stop this. Key word: Reasonable force.
