Had gone vegan for a while, for ethical and health optimisation reasons, but had been really uninspired by the food from a taste and choice perspective. Tried Karmana on a whim. The food was excellent. Really flavoursome and satisfying. Didn't miss the meat at all. There's even decent vegan wine available. Went back for a takeaway, but sadly the service wasn't quite as good... no cards taken, had to go to a machine round the corner to get cash out, went back to be told she then had no change, so had go back out to a shop to get change. Apart from this, well worth a visit otherwise.

Greeted by friendly waitress. Service was spot on, I really like not waiting. Partner had vegetable skewers and I had tofu and avocado burger, hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten, meat or not meat. Partner loved the vegetable skewers. The portion of fries with my burger was very generous. We had chocolate cake and ice cream dessert, incredible. What really made the experience great was a combination of excellent food AND service. Chatted to the owners and waitress about the food, local events, Russel Brand. If you want a cosy, friendly and chilled out meal, this is the place to go. I didn’t take a photograph of my burger but I’m glad because it’s a nice surprise when you see it. I don’t really like tofu too much but whatever they cooked it in made it delicious. Can’t wait to eat here again, flavour combinations that I haven’t had before. The small extra price for the eco friendly cutlery and crockery is clearly stated on the menu and we had no issue with this as the idea behind it is great. Highly recommend.

Great Vegan restaurant, fresh produce. Everything cooked fresh on the premises, big size portions so if your thinking about dessert make sure you turn up very hungry. Excellent - We chose this restaurant as it was not only convenient but we also saw some great reviews....and we weren't disappointed. As vegans, we don't have anything like this in Peterborough! Very cozy and homely feeling with affordable prices but at the same time top quality meals and best customer service. We will definitely be back, now we heard that there are also live music evenings at the venue. Can't wait to visit again. One of the top Vegan restaurants we visited so far in the country!

So, a beautifully quant restaurant hidden away in a residential estate in Northampton. I'm so blessed to have been introduced to this place. The staff were so welcoming, the food was incredibly tasty and perfectly flavoured and the atmosphere was amazing. Keep doing what you do! Also take-away the dessert if you don't have room in your stomach after the mains. Their vegan rocky road is to die for.

Went for afternoon tea today and had never visited before. It's a hidden gem with a great selection of food. The owners and staff are really friendly and they offer music nights, including the opportunity to just go along and jam. The place has a great vibe. We really liked our afternoon tea. Thank you. Two of us ate here on Friday evening. When we arrived there was some confusion about who we were despite booking and ordering in advance and there being no one else dining. It was a little pricier than I expected, £60 for one adult, one child and no alcohol, including a mysterious £5 dining in premium that we weren't aware of. The garlic bread starter was tasty but tiny. I wasn't very impressed with the vegan sushi, unidentifiable mush in tough leaves with lots of salad. However, the risotto main was delicious. The pizza was not quite what my daughter expected as there was no description of the toppings and she wasn't expecting olives. The desserts were tasty but mush in a paper bowl. I'm not sure what the obsession is with compostable crockery and cutlery. It is nicer and more environmentally friendly to use a proper plate and wash it up. I had a sit down meal not a take away. I really want this restaurant to be a success, but there were only eight diners on a Friday night. The menu needs to be shorter and more focused, less mains, more choice of dessert as there were only three available. The waiting staff were young and in training so they hovered and paced about a bit until they were told to ask if everything was OK. I want to support small ethical companies like this but they haven't got it quite right.

Fabulous place for a meal. I'm not vegan but wanted to take my vegan family out for a special meal. All of us loved our food and the friendly atmosphere. Generous portions for all our mains and sone sweet tasting desserts. We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. We will be back on our next visit to Northampton.

So disappointed. They used to serve really wholesome and delicious food, and always generous servings. It was my go-to vegan place in Northampton. However the meal we had tonight was atrocious. We ordered the mushroom and spinach risotto and this was what we got.. dry, tiny portions. Not by any means a risotto. And worst of all this portion alone cost £14. Not sure if there’s new management here or what’s happened but we definitely won’t be eating here again.

I eat in this great spot quite a bit! This is the best place to dine. I go there regularly. The meals are just great, the crew is welcoming and the prices are fair. I enjoy eating in this restaurant for a good lunch.

Favourite restaurant, lovely owners, food is reasonably priced and discount available for students, nhs staff, police etc, chilled out atmosphere and really tasty food! Would easily go there weekly if the money was available! I've been 3 times now with my partner, plan on taking my mum and sister there soon so they can try some really good vegan food.

Quite a disappointing experience. We ordered the spinach curry with the 'rainbow rice' and the falafelmezze. the curry was bland and more like a paste and the rice was just plain boiled rice, not cooked in onion and spices like it said on the menu. The falafel plate was okay, both items seemed very overpriced and small though. Also be aware that on the dessert menu where it says you can add ice cream or custard that it will be double the price which isn't clear.

Visited for the first time yesterday. I'm on a Daniel fast and wanted to eat out but still keep my fast going. The food was tasty and wholesome and I really enjoyed it. Four of us had a meal at Karmana yesterday. Every one of us had a different dish and they were all delicious. Mine was chilli tilly tofu and naan bread, my family had tacos, raw food salad and dahl, and a burger. All were tasty and beautifully prepared. Highly recommended!

Recently had afternoon tea. When they first opened the afternoon teas were amazing. Unfortunately not half as good this time. Far too many beetroot filled sandwiches and not alot else. Cakes ok . Seems very expensive for what you get. 😐 I asked for gluten free and that was fine also nothing against having the gluten free cakes as I said on the day .As said before far too many beetroot filled sandwiches, no variety and overpriced. Not sure on the mysterious £2.50 premium per person 🤔

I visited to see an annual music event thrown by the owner - who played high quality djembe rhythms in support. A wonderful event, in the back of a charming vegan restaurant. I saw the menu and will definitely be returning to try the fayre.
