We
stayed
8
nights
in
total.
On
the
plus
side:
excellent
location
in
Hamra,
plenty
of
restaurants
and
shops
all
around
(I
recommend
Cafe
Younes
for
breakfast).The
two-room
suites
are
spacious,
with
very
comfortable
(and
huge)
beds,
soft
and
firm
pillows,
and
as
we
were
facing
the
rear
of
the
hotel,
and
with
the
bed
in
a
separate
room,
nights
were
very
quiet.
Wifi
worked
well
throughout
our
stay,
as
did
the
AC
(when
needed)
and
TV.
It
was
also
great
to
come
back
to
the
hotel
after
a
day
of
sightseeing
and
have
a
kitchenette
and
comfortable
place
to
relax
(in
the
living
space/sofa
area).
The
gym
is
functional
and
it's
a
good
size
for
a
hotel.
Overall,
it's
good
value
for
money
BUT
I
wouldn't
repeat.
Rooms
are
not
clean
or
well
maintained
enough
for
a
4-star
hotel.
Carpet
was
dirty
from
the
first
day,
I
asked
it
to
be
cleaned
but
it
wasn't
and
as
I
never
heard
a
vacuum
cleaner
during
our
whole
stay,
it
probably
never
will.
Vertical
surfaces
in
kitchen
(fridge
and
cupboards)
dirty
and
never
cleaned,
and
the
balcony
table
was
and
remained
covered
in
dust.
The
shower-head
had
obviously
never
been
looked
at
as
it
was
spraying
water
everywhere.
Furniture
is
old,
chipped
or
worn,
sofa
and
armchair
frayed
and
stained,
wooden
floor
with
holes,
walls
dirty
or
stained
in
places
(i.e.
the
room
just
had
a
poorly
maintained
feel
to
it).
Staff
are
fine
but
not
especially
welcoming
or
friendly,
and
any
requests
are
ignored
or
not
followed
up,
you
have
to
insist
or
ask
twice
for
everything.
So
not
bad
to
explore
Beirut
and
Lebanon
but
don't
expect
5
or
even
4
stars.
