Usually an amazing experience, but we went yesterday for dinner and it was lower than average. The satay chicken was great as always but the lettuce wrap, dumplings and main dishes just didn’t taste good. We had a lot of leftovers and the waiter didn’t even bother to ask why. This restaurant is usually a family favorite but would think twice as to return since I’m not sure standards are overall lower there now or the chef was having an off night.

Mr Lam is incredible! As a fan of chicken satay, I was excited and curious to try theirs and was not disappointed! I also order the fried rice as a side with not much expectations as it was just to complement the main dish, but even that was so yummy! I had to control myself not to eat everything as I was saving space for their dessert, and thank God I did that! I had their famous cocada that looks like a fried egg (can't remember the actual dish name now) and it was mind blowing! Their drinks are also impressive, but there was one that had a very strong spicy taste, although they promised they did not used red pepper... In any case, I had an amazing time and experience at Mr Lam and will definitely go back next time I'm visiting Rio!

Positive: The location’s style is beautiful and the waiter are very helpful and know how to treat a customer. The crispy duck salad is super delicious and comes with a nice show for the preparation. The Squab Lettuce as a starter is amazing and super delicious as well. Negative: Unfortunately the cocktails (which are also pricy) are really not good and taste like syrup. The fried rice was a bit too less spiced for my taste and the shrimps en croûte in a sweet sour sauce are okay, but the pasty crust and the sauce are both not very tasty. Résumé: Fancy restaurant and definitely a nice place to take a girl out, but for a really high class restaurant there is still some room for improvement.

Mediocre at best. Equivalent of a low-scale New York mafia Chinese house. Food was bland and unimaginably flavorless. Avoid at all costs.

Hard to identify any authentic Chinese flavors. If you’re used to proper Cantonese or Sichuan, or any Chinese kitchen, then don’t go here. The restaurant is closer to Brazilian then Chinese. Service was good, though.

Unexpectedly good service. Tasty Beijing roast duck (goes as peking duck here) and crispy duck. Of course not as good as in Beiging Roast Duck restaurant near the beijing opera (reference roast duck for me), but decent, well made and authentic Chinese food.

I ordered the "degustação" with the crispy duck and it was the worst decision ever... the order was for a minimum of 2 people and it costed over 300 each. The testing came with only 3 mini dishes and the duck was incredibly tasteless, dry and, the portion size was ridiculously small. On the other hand the white fish was very good (item that was not part of the tasting, it was order separately). Overall, would not recommend! If you must go, order of the regular menu à la carte

Dont order delivery from here. Its a scam. I waited for two hours and my food never arrived. So upset and disappointed

By far the best restaurant in Rio for both the service and the food. We had a fantastic corporate dinner there with the set menu options, the drinks were very generous and the food kept everyone full for days. Waiters understood good English, the management set us up with a private area upstairs. The entire experience was 5 stars from start to finish. Particularly loved the duck, not to be missed.

Given the price tag I would expect more. It does serve delicious food, but a restaurant that denies blending mango slices for a baby to drink a juice looses respect. Another criticism goes to the meat plate that is supposed to have the best sauce that you will never forget. I was not impress at all. The meat was also overcooked. Noodles taste very good with sea food, but 120 reais for that? What impressed me more was the desert and the fried crispy cabbage. That one does have a seasoning that is completely out of the ordinary.

Beautiful decor but Not Authentic Chinese cuisine. This place caters to more non-Chinese. Food is just fair Nothing to write home about. I ordered Fish Fillet for my entree. Bland taste and I had demand waiter bring my white rice when Chinese food is automatically served with rice in USA.

Needless to say, this place delivers time after time. We go there every second or third month and it is amazing each time. Food is top notch, service very attentive. Kids love it as well. Definitely one of our most favourite places in town.

First class Chinese restaurant with menu & quality to back it up!! Crispy duck delicious. Sweet sour pork was the best we’ve had. Top notch service too. We’ll worth visiting for a special occasion.

Food was absolutely incredible, and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend the Peking Duck, Spring Rolls, Sweet & Sour Pork! The atmosphere was fantastic as well. Definitely want to come back.
