Do not stay here. This is easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. House keeping took our towels but never gave us new ones, they never replenished the toilet paper or took out the trash. There’s no direct way to call the front desk either, so every night, I had to go down to ask for whatever house keeping forgot. On our last night I had to ask 3 times for towels and waited over an hour. The staff did not care. The rooms are filthy. There’s mold in the bathroom and the ceiling tiles were held on with masking tape. Oh yeah, and there’s no way to regulate the AC in the room. It was way too hot with barely any airflow. Don’t waste your money on this dump. You’re better off parking your car by the lake and sleeping in that - you’ll get the same view, it’s cleaner, and at least you’ll have AC.

The price is decent but it was not the cleanest or most well kept location. There was a dead bird outside and no one did anything about that. For one night just to have a place to stay it’s fine. The location and access is fantastic, right next to the bridge! Looks like it’s being updated. I hope that’s the case.

This was by far the worst place I’ve stayed. The building is absolutely trash. The walls are cracked, the rooms are dirty, it’s falling apart. Not to mention they aren’t the cheapest rooms. The walls are thing and could hear people talking at a normal level through the wall. Also had to go to the room next door early in the morning to ask house keeping to keep it down. Truly a wild experience. The shower was new and the beds were pretty comfy …. So it had that going for it. Stay at any hotel other than this one. Do yourselves a favour.

Old hotel, some renovations evident. Quality of renovations is lower level for materials used and finish. Room was fairly clean. Stayed 3 nights and room wasn’t cleaned the first day. Advised front desk and the bed was made but fresh towels weren’t provided - I had to get them from the front desk. Basic breakfast provided and was ok. Location is good and plenty of parking. Single elevator so use of stairs was needed if you’re in a hurry. Seems to be lots of neutral to negative reviews of the hotel and they are probably well deserved. Hotel management needs to make a concerted effort to continually improve the facility or occupancy will surely suffer.

Two adults and one baby stayed for 3 nights over the July 1st long weekend. Room: We had a room facing the bay but could not take advantage of the balcony because of the many great black wasps that hung out there. In fact, we discovered one in our room just as we were packing up to leave. The rooms aren't kept that clean with tons of dead insects left at the windows as well as dirty floors (our baby was quickly covered in black from crawling around the room). Beds felt old and weren't that comfortable. Blankets did not breath, leaving us sweating and feeling hot with them on but cold with them off; thus, we didn't sleep well. Overall, pretty disappointed in the room. Service: Staff weren't that friendly and very to-the-point. We made multiple requests to get face and hand towels (which cleaning staff took without replacing) which never showed up despite being told each time that they would send them. It was challenging to reach the concierge by phone from our room, requiring multiple calls for someone to pick up. Breakfast: Breakfast was very simple with some scrambled eggs, apples, cupcakes, cereal, breads, and fresh mini-waffles. They could only make 8 mini-waffles at a time, however, so there was often a wait for these. The scrambled eggs had cheese in them one morning which was nice, but the other 2 mornings we were there lacked cheese which was disappointing. No bacon, sausage, or potato hash was also disappointing. They had one high chair available for use. Many of the seat cushions had notable spillage on them. Pool: The indoor pool was nice but small. There was a huge water slide, but the lack of running water made it difficult to slide down. It was too small to do any kind of laps, particularly if you needed to look out for people coming down the slide. The larger outdoor pool was not operational. WiFi: The WiFi was surprisingly fast and stable. We were able to stream videos at high quality and play online video games without notable lag. Parking: There was ample parking space, including spots underneath the building. No additional charge for this. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our stay here and probably won't come back.

This place is run down. Old and neglected. Looks like abandoned construction site. At checkout person was on the phone for 10 minutes not even waved to acknowledge he will be with us in a moment or something. Balcony door in the room was broken, but room was clean, just little breezy. Slamming doors was really loud on the floor. Plumbing is noisy as expected. Breakfast hot selection was omelette and hard boiled egg. Cafeteria was rather dirty, do not wear anything good you don't want to be stain with grease. Stuff looks like they are scared of you, always look away. Fair price would be $75, not $250. This was a rip off.

I had a terrible experience at the Ramada Hotel. The room I stayed in was dirty, especially the bathroom, and it had an unpleasant odor. There’s mold in the bathroom and the ceiling tiles were held on with masking tape. The hotel seemed infested with mosquitoes, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. The breakfast options were limited, and the dining area was small and dirty. On top of all this, we didn't have any positive interactions with the staff, who were not at all courteous or helpful. Considering the fact that we paid R$290 for our stay, I believe this hotel is extremely overpriced for the services and facilities they provide. I do not recommend it!

The location of this hotel is excellent. It sits right by the harbour near a lovely park and spitting distance to downtown and along the road to go anywhere in Bay of Quinte area. Unfortunately, those are the only positive points I have for the hotel. The hotel itself is quite tired and run down, aside from the front lobby area. The front lobby is where you see any renovations. The rest of the hotel is quite tired. Our room was comfortable enough but could use updating. The hallway walls and carpet need a deep clean or outright replaced. The lovely outdoor pool you might see in the pictures doesn’t reflect reality. In fact, that pool appears to not have held water in quite some time. The gym is small, stuffy and the staff have the thermostat set to above 25 degrees Celsius. So, if you want to sweat, this hotel can make that happen for you. The staff seem friendly enough but they seem to go out of their way to avoid talking to you. Overall, until this hotel addresses these service and amenity issues, give it a wide berth. If you value your time and money: avoid, avoid, avoid!

This was a very disappointing experience. I stayed for the weekend and had no housekeeping. Ran out of amenities and towels and had to call to have them delivered that evening. At checkout I shared how I was disappointed that housekeeping was not done and the receptionist didn’t seem to care and said that it was my fault for indicating I did not want housekeeping by a “sign” on the inside of my door. I was not even aware of a sign on my door so this indy area clearness I did not use a sign to let the housekeeping know I do not want my room cleaned. I’m not sure how many guests would feel compelled to lie about something like this however the receptionist at checkout did not care, just insisted that her housekeeping person did their job and it was my fault no one cleaned my room.🤷‍♀️ The rooms are old and there are missing tiles in bathroom. The sliding door doesn’t lock and is missing arm to secure it doesn’t open. Internet was intermittent, not always reliable where it buffered frequently while I tried to use it .. The eke stir was out of service for a couple hours on Saturday and they did not post any notifications on or by elevator to let guests know about it. We just stood there waiting until we realized it’s not working. So overall I would never go back to this hotel nor would I recommend it to anyone I know. The only thing that I can say is that the river around the hotel is nice to be surrounded by but the hotel doesn’t fit in to the beautiful environment nature provided..

So glad I chose Ramada since the price was much cheaper. The room we had was surprisingly quite spacious and clean. I asked for extra towels & had them in less than 10min, from the staff to the service, everything was on point. We will come back next time again, no doubt!

Rooms are dated. Sink in bathroom extremely low. Breakfast was simple. Pools were closed in and out. Front desk refused to deal with 3AM noisy neighbor. Stay away from the park view side freight trains go through all night.

Don't stay here. 1. Housekeeping left my room door open after they cleaned the room so I returned to my room with drawers opened. 2. Asked for new bedsheets and they were not changed after asking for two days. 3. They also did not replenish my towels or soap 4. Had to re activate my room key twice 5. Staff was clearly high and was making mistakes with other travellers. Its affordable for a reason

If I could give less then one star I would. Firstly, I have never been more disgusted from a hotel in my life.. the cleanliness of this place is atrocious. Came Bridal party to get wedding ready sept 30th, had previously booked MONTHS in advance requested a connecting room for us to get ready, they CONFIRMED, we would get conjoining rooms. When we showed up they gave us 4 separate rooms. Then realized that was a mistake then it was two room but they WERENT connected. That’s just the beginning. When we asked for our connecting room they informed us we could not get it cause of BUGS. Yet that entire hotel was packed and booked and every other connecting room was taken yet we booked 6 months in advance and was guaranteed connecting rooms. The cleanliness of the room was the worst I have ever seen in my life. Hairs all in the shower, the hallways were filthy, ALSO another room that was booked king suite, only had one working light, found a comb in the bed side drawer that was dirty and had dead lice bugs in it. Blood on the side bathroom mirror, and yes BOOGERs on the lamp shade. I demanded a receipt when I booked in and they told me I couldn’t get one till I checked out. Then when I cancelled my second night as I was not staying there again, they gave me a hard time about it and still would not give me a paper copy. When I mentioned the cleanliness of the room it was just pushed off. The inside of the hotel smelled like urine, the outside had over flowing garbage cans and trash lying around the property. We asked multiple time for someone to clean our shower as it was still disgustingly dirty.. NO one came after 6 phone calls and 2 trips to front desk. NOW there was a trainee at the front desk and she was trying her best to accommodate us. But the manager on site was giving us an extremely hard time about our original requests. Told us they didn’t want to “ cater to us anymore” cause we’ve had enough. This kind of hospitality is outrageous and frankly disappointing as at one point this hotel was well organized and clean. Will never be going here again and will be contacting higher up to discuss this matter

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Very outdated, and dirty. Had to switch rooms because our blow dryer didn’t work, and there were flies everywhere. Drywall was coming off the walls, and bathroom had cobwebs. Our new room wasn’t much better. Bring a gallon of hand sanitizer to bless your whole room in. Breakfast was gross, and gym area and games area were very sad looking. Save your money! Go anywhere but here.

We were a large group staying. The sales manager was very accommodating. The staff was very friendly. Our group had a very great time at this hotel - kids had a blast. Sure, bathrooms aren’t the most up and coming but it suited our needs no problem for the weekend. They are fine if you don’t need luxury. Beautiful view of the bay - balconies. Would book again.

Lovely hotel, great location, ample parking, friendly staff. If you would like a chair for your balcony ask, keep asking, they will give you one. Bathrooms are tiny, ours only had stand up shower and no tub. A fireplace would be a nice touch for these rooms. Inquire ahead to see if the pool is open, it was closed when we visited.

Stayed here recently overnight for a party nearby. The accommodation was pretty standard, we had two rooms with two beds in each. The rooms were clean but a bit outdated. There is a balcony but the door in our room didn't seem to close completely as you could hear some noise coming through. It was close to quite a few amenities which was convenient, as we were from out of town.

Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for these reasons: 1-Ladybugs/Asian Ladybugs in room by the balcony. 2-Stains in bedsheet and blanket. 3-Wooden flooring all sticky once we walked into the room. 4-No proper shower head. 5-Bathroom had a piece of hair on the towels and a piece of hair on the bathtub wall. 6-Bathroom door looks dirty as it looks it was not cleaned properly. 7-No signage showing where the pool (indoors) is located inside and was hard to find. Also this was all within the first 30 mins to 1 hour of arriving into our room.

Really bad place to stay. There was no heating in mid October and the whole building was freezing. We had to ask for extra blankets and sleep in sweaters. The bathroom was dirty and mouldy. The room was outdated and wallpaper was peeling and there were broken items in the room. There were only eggs at the hot buffet. No meat or potatoes- just eggs. No shampoo or soap, only 2 towels, etc etc. Our room door was off centre and we had to throw our shoulder into it to get it open. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to stay.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I have stayed in my fair share of hotels and this is BY FAR the worst experience I’ve had. There was no heat and it was very cold, especially at night. Apparently some guests had access to space heaters but we were only able to snag an extra blanket. The room was dated, dirty, and quite literally falling apart in several areas. The breakfast was minimal and very lacklustre. We had to request shampoo, soap, and a third towel (there were three guests). I would rather camp in a park or sleep in my car than spend a night here. I will never return to this hotel and will very likely avoid all Ramada hotels in general based on this poor experience.

Poorly managed and double charging my credit card for a "no show" when they lost my reservation and stuck us in a room under renovation for the night. Made our reservation in May, showed up in June for a wedding and was informed they do not have our reservation. No rooms at all available - it was 10 PM as we had just driven 4 hours to get here. After a lot of back and forth with the front desk proving we called them and had a reservation, they finally give us a room (they managed to find an "out of order" room we could use...). We paid for both nights up front at a discounted rate due to the conditions of the room (very old, bathroom needed an overhaul). The whole place is not what a hotel should be. Standing water in the lobby. No one at the front desk on multiple occasions. Carpets in the halls littered with trash and crumbs all weekend (never vacuumed from Fri-Sun). Breakfast was egg-centric and no place to even sit as it was completely full. No pool available. Active construction on the floors during the day. A week after going home our credit card is charged twice. Once for the 2 discounted nights (makes sense), and one for a no show charge (does not make sense). How can my credit card be charged for 2 nights AND a NO SHOW charge? I was legit there. I am working with my credit card company to push this as fraud. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Excellent experience! I recently stayed at Hotel and had a wonderful time. The accommodation was top-notch, with spacious and clean rooms that exceeded my expectations. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool, which added to the overall experience. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. I felt safe and secure in the area, and there were plenty of great dining options within walking distance. The value for money was fantastic, considering the high-quality service and amenities provided. I highly recommend Hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Thumbs up

This is our second stay at this lovely gem of a hotel/apartment. We have stayed in the apartment each time as we needed a family suite. I love everything about this hotel. The location and service are excellent. The affordability is a great value. The breakfast is hearty always good. The staff is very accommodating and customer focused. It’s a well kept secret

We stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms were decent, worth what you pay. The service though, that was the best part. receptionist, was just amazing. She helped inform us thoroughly of everything we needed to know and also gave us all the little perks too. Housekeeping service was quick and exact, and they accommodated everything we asked for.

This hotel was a great choice to attend a concert at the Coca Cola coliseum. The tramway made it a breeze to get there and come back. The staff at check-in was courteous and super helpful in providing us with directions. The room was quiet and clean, the bed really comfortable

Do not come. They are painting the third floor and the fumes are intolerable. The rooms are basically full of young families inhaling vocs. The carbon monoxide alarm was triggered five times in an hour and then somehow was mysteriously turned off. Protocol is to call EMS. This level of disregard for health and safety is unacceptable. We've been to this hotel numerous times before and we looked at it favorably even with it's rough edges. But this is really the last straw. So disappointing.

The only reason you would stay here is the price and location. If you can score a better place, go there. I think the hotel owner has let the place go. If management is reading here are some things that would improve the hotel.. cleanliness of common areas carpeting, remove the cobwebs from stairwell windows, wash stairwell windows, fix and paint/wallpaper common hallways.

It sounds absolutely terrible! Alot of excuses to address what seems like ongoing repetitive issues. We had went there no less than 8 or 9 times over the years and it was great. We had a wonderful New Year's eve there once. Perhaps not 'top drawer', but definitely worth the price at the time. I have been monitoring this place for 18 months or so and its an absolute shame. Seems like a little respect, and good ole customer service is in dire need. What a waste of a little gem that it used to be. Such a beautiful location. We will not be booking a summer get away to this place.

The hotel is under renovations so some understanding is important when reviewing. The staff were friendly, no complaints about the room or the free breakfast. Didn't utilize any other amenities. Easy to find.

  • 1/5 Eric G. 9 months ago on Google
The placement of this hotel is one of the best. You have very nice views on the harbour and close to downtown. The entrance is the only place in the hotel that looks pretty nice, the rest looks a little run down. That is the only positive things about this hotel. The first room we were given was just horrible. The air vent was extremely loud due to a rattle. One wall had about 7-8 holes that used to have a mirror, which is not very nice. The bed is very very loud due to it being a spring bed. We then went to the front desk and got another room. It was a little better. But once again the air vent had a issue, this time it was leaking water on the floor. The shower was a bath with a very old, not very clean shower head. Onto another point, air conditioning does not exist in the rooms, it is always kind of toasty in the rooms, it never goes bellow 23°C. Which on a hot summer day is not very refreshing. The pictures that we can see on Google for the outdoor pool are completely false. The pool looks like it hasn't had water in quite a long time. The gym is just simply a joke. Way to small and has basically nothing to do a muscular training. Onto my last point, the breakfast. It is mediocre. The hard-boiled eggs that I tried had a seafood taste. The juice that is offered is a little too diluted. No meat is offered(bacon or sausage or ham). In conclusion, I would not recommend this hotel. There's is alot of work that needs to be done. I did not have a very good experience.

Hotel is so old and dirty. It should be closed for renovations. Wallpaper falling off walls, stains all over carpers in halls and room. Bathroom laminate counters were coming apart, shower didn't drain any water, curtains off tracks and couldn't close. Would not recommend anyone stay here. It was not cheap to stay here.

The price was right! The place is an uninteresting older conference center. The location is very good with a nice view of the lake from the front. We had a room at the back .cheaper. but bright with a park and view of a busy road. The bed was comfortable but decor dated.

Location is convenient to the waters however the hotel is very unkept, carpets throughout are very dirty with stains and bunches of hair, almost like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a while. Breakfast had 3 types of eggs (hard boiled warm, cold. And scrambled and a cheese omelette) no sausage or bacon or hash brown. The bed we had had a big divot in the middle of it (it was a long so we made it work) Would like to see renovations/cleanliness it would improve the places appearance so much more. Outdoor pool is closed and indoor pool was pretty cold and small, water slide to indoor pool was also closed. Depending on your room our shower was spraying water out of the

This was a nice hotel years ago my wife and I went every year. But our last 2 years have been terrible. They have a sign at the front desk that is always up that says they will be back in 15 minutes. Bring ice none of the ice machines work. Apparently covid restrictions are still in place because there pool has not reopened. Bathroom was not cleaned properly. Sliding doors to patios are inoperable. And the iceing on the cake of your terrible stay is when you see your visa statment it will show that they charged you an extra 50 bucks, with no explanation and you can phone the hotel and ramada for the rest of your life but they will never tell you why. So you actually didn't save any money by booking at this cheap hotel at the end of the day. Please stay somewhere else if avalible.

Our updated King room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a beautiful balcony view of the bay and surrounding park land. Very effective, quiet A/C and fantastic new shower with great pressure. Easy access to downtown, Quinte Mall/401, PEC and Sandbanks. Limited breakfast included - arrive early for best choice. The hotel has been around for years so it's a bit run down in places but has a retro charm and warm ambience. Upkeep of common areas and pools, and overall polish would likely be improved with more staffing. Pleasant but harried staff.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location. Coming from out of town for a wedding. Told to call in the morning and they would have our room ready. Day of wedding they would not give us our room before the wedding. We called numerous times only to be hung up on every time. Staff were not helpful. The room is seriously in need of repair or better yet a gut! Absolutely disgraceful for a Ramada!!

Hotel is rundown and not the cleanest. Service was terrible. Asked for extra towels and a pillow and they never brought it. I had to go down to the front desk at 10:30pm to get it myself and ended having an argument with the guy at the desk when I requested he get me my stuff after waiting 3 hours and he kept saying he would bring it to us and I insisted he get it for me at that time. I ended up only receiving some hand towels and no pillow. My family went to the pool and it was dark in the area. I asked the front desk to turn on the lights and they never did. Only one working elevator for a hotel of 300 rooms. Hallways were rundown and my room had drywall coming of the walls. Hair in the hair dryer and tub. Very unimpressed considering we’ve stated there before and it was really nice. They must be new owners since the last time I was there. I will never book there again and I absolutely don’t recommend that you stay there. Terrible hotel.

This place is dirty and run down. The condition of the room was deplorable, mold on the grout in the bathroom, enamel in the tub and sink was cracked with pieces missing. The blinds were broken and the liner of the refrigerator was cracked with pieces missing. The mattresses were bowed in the middle. I have never been so disappointed with a hotel before.

We chose this hotel because we are rewards members with Wyndham. There was no one at the front desk for 25 minutes from our arrival. The hotel hallways smelt musty. Carpets were dirty and stain. It wasn't the standard we were used to for this chain. The rooms were updated but the bathroom could have used some TLC. The bathroom had fresh towels but there was shaving cream on the shower head and the door knob. There were hairs on the floor. It just wasn't at the level we expected. They need to try better with overall customer service.

The hotel is quite disgusting. It's very ugly and rundown. It also doesn't seem very clean and does not have the friendliest staff. I was in a rush and I left my formal dress in the room. I called 20 minutes later and told them I left my dress. They said the dress will be at the front desk. I came back after 1 hr and the dress was not there. They called housekeeping and the woman said the dress was not in the room. She said the garment bag was there. I said it was hanging in the garment bag. She came down with the bag and it was empty. She and the front desk were very nonchalant. They didn't seem to care. I stated that the dress was in the bag. I stated that someone obviously stole my dress and I said several times that I wouldn't leave without my dress. Housekeeping finally came back with a sealed package and she stated it was in the lost and found. If it was in the lost and found it would have been in the garment bag. Overall it was a horrible experience. I'd rather sleep in my car.

We had 25 rooms blocked off for our annual car event. The staff were amazing in attending to all our needs. Our rooms were clean. The GM in particular looked after our reservations personally. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Saif and your staff for the hospitality.

Very tired property - not what we expected with the name Wyndham. Feels like a set of a 1964 movie with a bit of a smell throughout the property and in the room. Representative at desk was ok. I don't think smoking is allowed although the instructions on the door indicate otherwise. (see photo!) Hotel needs a complete renovation, inside and out. (see photo of parcel formerly known as a tennis court!) On the plus side, sheets and pillows were nice.
