Great atmosphere....patio is the bomb...right by the river and loved it. The staff are all very pleasant and it is very clean. Food was amazing and very authentic....worth the trip...we will be back

EDIT: location has changed that it no longer is downtown Belleville. First time trying this restaurant, and came here based on the positive reviews on trip advisor. The restaurant is located in downtown Belleville which has free curbside parking for an hour (which is so nice)! The restaurant is cozy and inviting. Ample of seating (didn't realize it extended as far back as it did). The waiters were attentive, polite and friendly. There were a lot of options that seemed authentic to Mexican cuisine! I had a red pepper soup for starter (this was one of the best soups that I've ever had)! A touch of spice and creamy (and yes, I put crackers in my soup 😅). The main (pictured) was again so flavourful and (because I like spice) was perfect for me. Definitely generous portions so there is some for tomorrow! Also, I wanted to try their desserts as it's not something you can get everywhere. Definitely the right decision! The perfect blend of sweet and spice! Easily 5 stars. Prices were very reasonable for what you get. Will be coming back here again!

It was my husband and I’s first time and the experience was superb. We highly recommend the Chile Relleno! So good! We are from Toronto but we will definitely dine here again when we are in the area. The customer service is 5-star as well. We love the restaurant!

Disappointing Experience at Chilangos Restaurant I recently visited Chilangos Restaurant and unfortunately, I had a highly unsatisfactory experience that I feel compelled to share. The main cause of my disappointment stems from the misleading advertising of their half-off appetizers after 9 pm, which was prominently displayed in multiple places without any conditions specified. Upon arrival, my companions and I were eager to take advantage of this enticing offer. However, to our dismay, we were informed after placing our orders that the discount only applied if we also ordered drinks with our food. This abrupt revelation left us feeling deceived and deeply dissatisfied with the restaurant's integrity. Transparency in advertising is crucial, and when a promotion is advertised without clear conditions, it creates a sense of false expectations. The lack of disclosure regarding the requirement to purchase drinks alongside the appetizers was both misleading and dishonest on the part of Chilangos. This practice tarnished our dining experience and left us feeling undervalued as customers. As patrons, we expect honesty and fairness from establishments we choose to dine at. Unfortunately, Chilangos failed to meet these expectations, resulting in a significant negative impact on our overall dining experience. It is disheartening to witness a restaurant resort to such tactics, as it undermines the trust between customers and the establishment. I hope that Chilangos takes this feedback constructively and reevaluates its advertising practices to ensure transparency and consistency in the future. Honest and upfront communication is vital in maintaining a positive relationship with customers and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. In light of my disappointing experience, I regretfully cannot recommend Chilangos Restaurant to others who seek a reliable and honest dining experience.

Some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had in years, without question! 😋 may just be my new favorite place! Everything I tried was amazingly prepared, just like back home 🥰😍 and omg the guacamole was literally THE BEST I have ever had. Already planning our next trip 🥰 Definitely date night material!

The staff were kind and and helpful, they did have a table open so I was happy about that. The food was GREAT. I loved the tacos they brought out, however the portion size did seem small given the amount I paid. My boyfriend loved his soup and refried beans, he said the soup is a 4.5 out of 5. This boy knows his soup so I was surprised on that!

I had a really tasty meal here! The Enchiladas Pablanos was FANTASTIC. Their food has a ton of flavor. My server, (bless her soul).. was such a gem and let me try out their molé sauce as well, which I honestly might have to go back for and order again before I leave the area. I also ordered the tres leches cake to go. I wasn't overly impressed with the cake, but it wasn't bad. I feel like the peaches don't work and the whipped topping is unnecessary, but that's just me. Overall, eat here if you love or want to try Mexican food

Never disappoints. If you love Mexican you will just LOVE Chillangos! Everything I have eaten has been top notch authentic Mexican. You have to try to gorditos and obviously a margarita!

The ambiance was dim, and the service was satisfactory, lacking personal friendliness or conversation. The food took about 15-20 minutes to arrive, and while it was good, portions were decent but inconsistent. The presentation was nice and appetizing. Dessert stood out, although the ice cream was more like ice milk, akin to something I'd buy on a low day from a grocery store. Not to mention, our bill came to $76 for two people who only ordered the cheapest menu item, water, and a single Pina colada to share. Overall, an average experience for Taco Tuesday, neither exceptionally satisfying nor disappointing.

Finally got a chance to try Chilangos after passing by so many times and upon recommendation from a few people. Went for Taco Tuesday and got the Al Pastor. The meat was well seasoned and the smoky spicy salsa was great. Also had the churro bites for dessert which were fried well. Atmosphere of the place was really nice and the service was amazing!

The food was absolutely fantastic! Full of so much flavour! I highly recommend coming here if you haven’t already. Service is great, and worth the wait if you didn’t make reservations ahead!

I’ve the soup tomato with chicken and rice great stuff tacos mmmm! Almost as good as gus taco in Toronto but great mobs the less by far best Mexican in Belleville if you pass through or live in the area it is worth the drive I love to leave sweating 😓 so go for the heat

Amazing food! Amazing service! 10/10 would recommend. Some of the best food I have ever had. Every dish tasted better than the other. The experience felt very authentic.

The perfect meal at the perfect location. My brother and family were driving back home to Toronto and had an EV car. Charger was less than a minute drive from restaurant, which was right next to the 401. We were able to bring the family dog and have a wonderful meal on the patio. The food and service were great.!!! will be back again.

I don't give 5 stars lightly. I am always aware that there is room for improvement. That said my wife and I had dinner here on a Saturday night and the experience was really great. We were greeted and seated quickly, then our server stopped by to introduce himself. From that point forward we were taken care of with speed accuracy and attention. The food was great and gave us a wonderful date night. We will be back for sure.

I'm so happy we stumbled upon this place. It's so hard to find good Mexican food in Ontario, and we found it! Everything we ate was amazing. They also serve horchata (non-alcoholic drink). I've only had this in Mexico, California, and Texas. If you've never tasted it before, it's a must-try! I wish the service was as good as the food. I can't wait to come back!!!

I’ve eaten here twice now - first time take out and second on the patio today. Both times food was delicious. It’s hard to find good legit Mexican food in Ontario but this is GOOD. I love sopes and they are super tasty - good beans! Tamales are also very good. My husband has had chicken and fish tacos and really liked it too! It’s really hard to find decent Mexican food, so happy to have found this place! Our service was great too, accommodating and quick. They had a high chair available for my son and enjoyed our lunch outside. I will be back :) Sorry for the messy sopes pic, took a bite first before taking the picture- so good!!!

I have heard a lot of good things so was excited to try. We waited 15 minutes for a waitress (who was very friendly) and after ordering waited another 45 minutes. The food was ok but nothing that made me want to have to go back. My friend said the same thing about her meal.

Not enough great things to say about this place. Amazing Mexican food - super unique to other Mexican restaurants we have been too. The food was distinct but PHENOMENAL. Our first dinner there was so good, we had to come back for lunch the next day. The service was a bit slow, but on both occasions it seems we had the busiest waitress. We will be back and will be recommending this establishment as the best Mexican restaurant around.

Tried this place for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it. We got our seats with the river in the backdrop and it was so pretty. The food is amaaaazing (lots of authentic Mexican flavours) and the service was also excellent. Their sumptuous tres leches cake is made from scratch and the lemon cake was just out of the world. Everyone loved it. Five stars!!

The food was amazing , the cocktail were well made and did not disappoint. Ngl, the place is a bit pricy, so special occasion type event, however the quality justified the price. Overall 4.8/5 would say
