Black Sheep is more of a restaurant than a bar, but either way it's a great spot. Parking here can be tough on the street, especially during busy times. They have plenty of tables inside plus a few outside as well, but don't be fooled - they get very busy here. They have a smaller menu which means they're good at a select few things, tacos mainly. The staff here are so nice, very quick, and good with recommendations. Prices are a bit high for the portion you get, but the flavor makes up for that. They have good prices on drinks though for sure. The pork belly is super soft and flavorful, the carne asada has a nice char on the outside and is easy to bite through. The carnitas is a little bit salty, but hitting it with the like it comes with takes care of that. And the rockfish is delicious, with a great mix inside the Taco to avoid too much of a fishy taste. Would definitely come back here when I'm around again.

I really loved eating here. The food was amazing. I cant remember what I got to be honest, some tacos, and there aren't a ton of vegetarian options, but the ones they do have are sooo good. Be warned it's 21+ to eat here :)

Great tacos! They have corn tortillas for those that are gluten-free. The atmosphere is great…nice loft seating as well as outdoor area. Tacos must be ordered in pairs of the same protein type, so it’s best for 2 people to order pairs of different protein, then each trade one:-) Update: the last time I went in there, they now allow you to order individual tacos of varying proteins. That was smart, because it is nice to be able to try the wonderful varieties. Their tacos simply are the best I’ve ever tasted.

This place is great. Who would have thought you could have a shwanky taco fusion restaurant in Bellingham? Black Sheep is always packed and for good reason - their food is fantastic and unique and the vibes are strong. My personal favorite is the rockfish tacos and their daily chimichanga is always really good. They have great drinks and NA options which is rad. Highly recommend. Sitting out side in the summer is always quieter than inside.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time! I have never had better tacos (not even in Cali) and they have plenty of vegan options too. The guac is unmatched. I eat here at least once every week!

By @iwanttobewhatieat Maybe because I am the Black Sheep I LOVE @blacksheepbham OR as a black sheep I can appreciate the epic tacos and beverages this place always serves me. Located in the heart of Bellingham,WA is this fine little gem. Tacos so good no matter how bad you are, there is some sort of forgiveness granted by the taco gods. It’s a great place for the non dairy, gluten free peoples as well. I HIGHLY recommend everything on the menu and the service is also amazing. Killer atmosphere, killer food, killer service that welcomes all the sheep’s of all the colors.

Nice bar with tacos and small- medium plates for a quick bite. Has lots of seating, clean restrooms and perfect ambience for a rainy day lunch. We got the sleeveless in seattle cocktail which was gin based with ginger beer , honey. Would try one of their house-made sodas next time. We got tacos- steak& egg, pork belly& egg, potato and black bean 9pff the weekend brunch menu as well as the cauliflower taco off the normal menu. Small sized tacos- two per person filled us up along with cocktails from their extensive list. Friendly and very quick service as the tacos seem to just need assembly. Bill came to around 34$ for 4 small tacos and a drink. Not bad for a sit down lunch in a nice spot.

The staff was very nice, prices were alright for upscale tacos. I got the rockfish tacos and the salsa trio. Both were good and it was enough to fill me up.

I'm in love with the queso nachos, chorizo tacos, and frozen Rose' drinks (Frose'). The nachos feature high quality, delicious ingredients for a great value. The ambiance inside the restaurant is also wonderful, and the staff is friendly, especially the hosts! My only critique would be that the guac has an overpowering onion or garlic flavor that almost tastes fermented.

Their tacos are delicious, especially the butternut squash ones. Guacamole is yummy too.

Had a good time here overall. Ordered the carnitas, pork belly, and steak tacos. I enjoyed all 3 of them. For an appie we had the queso fundido. It wasn't all that great however. Dip was overly watery. Cocktails here also were quite nice and had a good mix. Would come here again for the tacos for sure if I was in the area.

Black Sheep is a rustic, straight forward bar / restaurant that "almost" meets expectations. The food is very good with plenty of layered spices and thoughtfulness. The Lamb Pozole had a nice kick to it as did the Queso. The Chorizo Taco was dry and just so-so. Service at the bar was spot on! I guess the only thing missing was the "WOW" factor. The food as mentioned was good but not GREAT! I was hoping for GREAT! It's a solid 7 out of 10.

Amazing tacos and drinks! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Usually very quick service. Bonus that it's a bar, 21+ only, so no kids running around

Good laid-back atmosphere. Chips were really good, and salsa had good flavor. I do wish the salsas were a little thicker though. Tacos were good except my fiance got the chicken taco and said the balsamic was really overpowering, so he didn't eat it. I would eat here again

Delicious. Great place to grab a quick bite. Tacos and breakfast burritos were wonderful. The green tomatillo salsa was excellent. For those travellers between Seattle and Vancouver get off the highway and try some great eats in Bellingham

The place is definitely cute the decor is cute & very unique with indoor & outdoor seating. They are a little busy the food was too spicy for me to enjoy it fully. I ordered the pork belly tacos I don’t recall seeing anything saying it was spicy or I would have ranked lower in the food category. The fish taco was ok I wish there was an option to get the fish grilled? Maybe I’ll ask next time because I will definitely be going back.

Been here twice now. Have enjoyed the food and atmosphere both times. The queso dip is amazing. Good solid margaritas, and the tacos are great. Attaching images, but you really can't go wrong with this place.

I wish I captured a photo of the space because it’s REALLY cute! I sat at the bar and was greeted with an attentive and friendly server. He was great! Really enjoyed the vibes and the service. The food was divided. I am not exaggerating when I say their pork belly is the BEST BEST BEST I’ve ever had. I originally got the breakfast pork belly taco and I was so blown away that even though I wasn’t hungry I had to eat more of that pork belly so I ordered their regular pork belly taco. It was SO good. The sweet potato and black bean taco was nothing to write home about. The queso fundido was disappointing. It just wasn’t queso fundido. It was more like watery nacho cheese in a bowl. It was weird. A quick google search can show you what it’s supposed to look like, so that was a weird miss. BUT THE PORK BELLY. GET IT. Also, I was a bit surprised how expensive it was. $5-$7 for small street tacos.

Black Sheep catered a wedding for my photography clients, and the food was incredible! Their appetizer bar included tostada, queso, salsas, ceviche, and more. It was all presented beautifully and the guests kept going back for more. I'll be recommending them to all my Bellingham couples!

Really great customer service & fun atmosphere. Full bar with some excellent cocktails I had the Spring Fever so delicious, my fiancé had the Done & Dusted. There were a small amount of taps. We sat at the bar, it was mesmerizing to watch them make the handcrafted cocktails. They were really busy but the food was worth the wait!! The guacamole was spectacular, the elote (cheesy mexican corn) was perfectly spicy. Each taco had it’s own unique flavor & textures, we got a carne asada, a fried chicken, 2 rockfish & 1 mushroom kale.
