Visited here from out of town. So tasty! Crystal, the owner, is also the baker. Everything is made from scratch. We had ordered a cheesecake bar, banana nut muffin, the gluten free Wild Oat cookie, and a blackberry scone with lemon glaze to go. We couldn’t help but sample them before leaving the cafe. They were so good, we turned right around and ordered another of each in case the snow prevented us from being able to return the next day for more! We also ended up ordering breakfast. I love that the short stack pancakes came with a side of peanut butter for the child in our group. I also appreciated how the child’s hot cocoa came out ready to drink—not scorching hot. Husband and I had the breakfast burrito. Perfectly seasoned, not too salty. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Will definitely be returning any time we are in B-ham!

Stopped by for lunch as I was in the area. Food was amazing! Had their Cajun "Fish" sandwich with a side of soup (They had Chili today) and Cappuccino with their house "milk". Everything was fresh and flavorful. I would definitely be back whenever in the area again. The staff was super friendly and nice to talk to, which always adds to the experience. Thanks for serving amazing vegan food! 🌱💚

My husband and I came here twice on our vacation. The first visit was because of a reccomendation on Reddit. The second visit was because the food was SO GOOD we had to have it again before we left. It was a 45 minute drive from our Airbnb, but absolutely worth it. The customer service here was great, the staff was super friendly and clearly care about your experience here. The first photo features the Italian Tomato Soup and a Reuben, and the second soup photo is the French Dip sandwich. The pastry is a Pumpkin Spice cake. We took blueberry scones and a cupcake to go on the second trip, which were equally delicious.

Excellent options for breakfast (sweet and savory). Outstanding espresso and a friendly staff! I’d suggest the breakfast burrito with tofu or any of their baked items. Will be returning soon.

We all enjoyed our food although we were very disappointed not to get breakfast after 11 a.m We love breakfast! The chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting was absolutely delicious! I wish I would have picked up another to go! The vanilla cupcake was a little dense and heavy as was the lemon lavender, but the frosting was delicious.

Amazing food! Everything is vegan and everything looks great so it's going to be painful to choose.

As a vegetarian of many years it's really exciting to be able to go to a cafe and order anything off the menu. Everything I've tried has been delicious, I especially love the blt which has coconut bacon (my favorite plant based bacon). Produce is always extremely fresh tasting! Great coffee and pastries as well. A hidden gem:)

Just wow! I had the Turkey Club and it was fantastic. Probably the best vegan sandwich I’ve had, and I’ve had my fair share over the years. You’ve really outdone yourselves with the super toasty sourdough that’s as greasy as a remember a real turkey club being. The coconut bacon wasn’t too sweet, as most tends to be and the smoked Gouda was a delicious addition. I haven’t had a turkey sandwhich in five years and that really hit the spot. You absolutely nailed the “vegan comfort food” idea. Best in Bellingham by far & I’ll definitely be back, can’t wait to try more of the menu!

It's rare that I have such a polarizing food experience. The vegan Cafe is adorable. The scone was absolutely delicious. But the beverages were just ok. The food, not great. And if I'm eating anything, I want it to be great. I think there is a lot of opportunity to make this place great based on the other vegan spots I went to in Bellingham this week. But go try it for yourself. My advice? Get a scone. They're fantastic!

Breakfast sandwich was amazing! If looking for vegan cuisine I would encourage you to try this spot. Came for brunch and I found it odd that it was only served until 11. We were there at 10:45 and they were out of the monster burrito and berry compote for the waffles. Our food took over half an hour but the service was great and she let us know. The staff tried to provide suggestions and options to the items they were out of. The space is next door to a dog kennel of sorts so the sound of dogs was prominent.

I only had the raspberry peach muffin because nothing appealed to me. All the baked goods just looked so boring!! I do not recommend it for the baked sweet food. I also had a hot chocolate which was good but I would prefer to have the choice of no sugar in it though.

What an absolute GEM of Bellingham!! The portobello sandwich is the best I've ever had! Their soups are amazing. Great variety and quality of baked goods- just vegan heaven (muffins are a must). Hope this cute restaurant stays around for years to come!

We had a delicious lunch on the way through Bellingham from Vancouver to Seattle. Super nice service and seriously delicious food. I don't know how the create such an extensive and quality menu in a small cafe, but they do! So good and we can't wait to come back. (The smoked turky sandwich, Italian cold cut sub, and tomato soup were AMAZING!)

Waited over 30 minutes for a reheated takeway breakfast burrito. We wouldn't have minded if we were told, or if the burrito was amazing. But it was soggy and definitely not worth the wait. The person who served us was lovely. Blueberry scone was delicious.

Awesome little vegan café! The food is great with a lot of diverse options. We have been customers many times. I want to give this five stars, but we ordered take out and had a bad experience (and the owner was there too!). They told us it would be 20 minutes and it took 50 minutes with no apology. If you’re in a hurry, this is not a good stop for you. But if you have time and flexibility, it’s a good stop.

I am a 30+ year vegan. I know good from bad vegan food. Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe is over the top delicious. Good clean healthy tasty comfort food with a delightful cafe. The owner is a stellar woman that has put her heart and soul into giving us the best food we could ask for. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy their food. Give Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe a try, I promise, you will not be sorry. They have knocked it out of the park. And, best of all: no animals were murdered to make your meal.

Came here for breakfast/brunch and it was a pleasant experience overall. While it did take a few minutes to receive our order, it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The highlight of this restaurant is undoubtedly the healthy food they serve. In fact, the dishes were so nutritious and delicious that I jokingly thought if I ever had a heart attack and recovered, I would eat here for the rest of my life! The portion sizes were satisfying, striking a good balance between being filling without being overwhelming. The emphasis on healthy ingredients was evident in every bite, and I appreciated the effort put into creating such wholesome meals. However, it's worth noting that The Wild Oat Bakery is slightly on the pricey side. While not exorbitant, it may not be suitable for those on a tight budget. Nevertheless, considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience, I found it to be worth the price. The server we had was friendly and had a constant smile on her face, which added to the positive atmosphere of the restaurant. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it to others seeking healthy yet delicious meals. Despite minor delays in receiving our order and slightly higher prices, the exceptional food quality and friendly service make this restaurant a worthwhile choice.

My husband and I were visiting and we were so excited to find a vegan breakfast! The owner was so nice and service was great. I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage and my husband had the monster burrito, both were SO GOOD!! I was happy to find out the cheese and meat alternatives were nut-free. We will definitely be back!

Went here recently on a summer trip to Washington. I had one of their cookies with frosting on it and I still can't stop thinking about it. It had a unique flavor that has just stuck in my mind. I loved it so much I went back the next day for another. Seriously amazing. Great place to try.

Our first, and no way our last, visit was spectacular! Always super happy to give vegan restaurants our business and Wild Oat did not disappoint! The food was amazing and not a thing was wrong with our visit! Our server, Nolan, was attentive, efficient and friendly. Definitely will stop here EVERY TIME we visit Bham!!
