We were looking for and found a nice, relaxing place to stop for a quick bite. This is an amazingly huge cafe and coffee shop. There are plenty of tables and comfortable chairs to sit and eat. The muffins are great and they have Cafe Darte coffee. Their breakfast sandwiches are on focaccia bread so they are very filling. Great stop in downtown Bellingham!

Cute little coffee shop with timeless café vibe here. Perfect to meet up with people since it is on the corner and centrally located. I had the peppermint latte and that was great! I was surprised how foamy the oat milk was here, it was pretty nice!

I love this place. I actually discovered it after the start of quarantine, and it has given me something to look forward to a few times a week. They make hands-down the best half-sweet hot mocha I've ever had, and it's consistently good no matter who makes it. Can't wait to spend time here when I can actually sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. Kind staff, and the music choices are always good. Update 2022: They are so sweet, they celebrated my day off! Get cuter Adagio!

One of the OG coffee spots in Bellingham. I love to come down here on a rainy day and throw on the headphones and work when I’ve been cooped up in the office for too long. You definitely have a crowd of regulars unsurprising as this place has been here forever. There paninis are great, their soup specials are usually really good and their coffee is good too. If you’re visiting Bellingham for a few days or just moved here, you definitely should come check place out for a coffee or lunch.

Great cappuccino and the breakfast sandwich made with focaccia and garlic aioli is pretty tasty. I’d come back to try other stuff. Glad this cafe is right next to the bus station.

Great way to start a cloudy winter day - marianberry scone and medium roast coffee.

You know a coffee shop is great when it’s packed at 1:30pm. This classic Italian coffee shop is on the edge of the City Center neighborhood of Bellingham. It has plenty of space to meet up with friends and a few cozy places to enjoy an afternoon coffee on your own. My Latte was smooth and rich. And it went nicely with the Dutch Apple Turnover.

We stopped in fairly early in the day (8am, they open at 7) for a vegetarian breakfast sandwich and and espresso (Americano). Both were very good. Service was friendly and there were many tables available in the very spacious cafe area. (Tables available outdoors too.) They had a wide variety of baked goods from Mount Bakery on display (maybe even more than I typically see at the actual Mount Bakery!). The breakfast sandwich was *almost* as good as Camber's (summer-recipe) biscuit sandwich. TIP: Order the sandwich with the grilled onions and jalapeno aoili (we did this) and ask for the sandwich to spend a little extra time on the grill. (I plan to do this next time. Mine was warm enough but the cheese wasn't fully melty and it would have been even better with a bit of crispness in the focaccia.)

The atmosphere of the place was a little more upscale then necessary considering what it is. The staff were friendly if a little bit distant. The prices are a bit high, although not excessive by any means. But honestly, it was maybe the best cup of coffee I have had in a long time. Absolutely worth checking out. I had a very simple double tall Americano and it was amazing. For those that know, you can't hide a lot in that drink. It's just 2 shots and a bit of hot water, and it was as close to perfect as I have ever had.

Awesome little farm to table spot. Good atmosphere. Comfy couches. The service is always great. Not a hurry up place, so if you are impatient go to McDonald's or something. Garden veggie breakfast sandwich was good, though the topping to bread ratio was a little off. Double the toppings would be great. American cappuccino I've had a few times. It's always good. It's right next to the bus station, and I always wait here for the bus.

Came in on Black Friday. They were supposed to be closing soon but they let us come in out of the rain for a hot cup of coffee. Thanks Diana and Luke! We will be back for sure 🙂

Great menu and atmosphere. The owner is always there and gets to know the regulars. Seems like a very resilient coffee shop that will be around for many years to come. Always happy to support it, nice community.

The Best Coffee place in Bellingham! While I'm head over heels for Adagio, it's worth mentioning that it can get quite busy during peak hours, and finding a table may be challenging. However, the bustling atmosphere only adds to the vibrancy and charm of the place. Adagio is more than just a coffee shop; it's a sanctuary for coffee lovers and those seeking a cozy retreat. The friendly staff, exceptional coffee, and delectable cinnamon rolls make it a haven that keeps drawing me back. If you're searching for a place to unwind, enjoy a quality cup of joe, and indulge in a heavenly cinnamon roll, Adagio is an absolute must-visit.

I usually judge a cafe based on how well they make a Vanilla Breve. Safe to say, out of the cafes I've tried this is the best so far!

Adagio has a small farm in the county and adds its own produce to its yummy menu. They also have some of their produce for sale. I have been going to Adagio for years and have always been satisfied by their espresso drinks and treats. Some of the bakery items they make and others are from a local bakery. And, the atmosphere is just right for meeting up with someone or just hanging out on your own.

I just got asked to leave Cafe Adagio because I had sat down with an outside coffee cup. Bear in mind, I understand the conflict t of interest in whose coffee you drink, but I hadn't even had one minute to order the soup, which I usually do. The woman came and said they had noticed the last time I was in, I only asked for a cup of water. Did they notice ALL the other (about 15) times that I ordered lunch or breakfast or bought Christmas candles? This is a place I frequent and ONCE I visited without actually purchasing anything. I am so upset. I am not someone coming in just to use the bathroom, I am not a vagrant coming in to get warm. I am a human being that hadn't even been sitting for 5 minutes before she swooped over to me to ensure I would pay for something. I didn't realize Adagio was all about the money. I thought in this day and age, you err on the side of kindness. You just never know what someone might be going through.

Best latte in a long time! I miss drinking fresh, hot coffee from a beautiful cup...not paper! It's really the only way to appreciate a quality cup of coffee❤️

Lovely spot in the heart of town. Wonderful, kind, personable owners Diana & Luke. Delicious, strong, flavorful coffee. Thank you for the care & morning cheer-up.

They’ve turned an old school cafe into a new school caffe. Lots of tables and light, great espresso drinks, typically good pastries. And fresh produce at the counter in grab and go portions—I just bought the most gorgeous strawberries with my cappuccino. Packaged options for gluten-free folk are just so-so, but they are there. Finally, this place opens extra early. It is filled with a terrific variety of morning people coexisting peacefully.

Lovely staff and good drinks and pastries! I got an Italian soda and a chocolate croissant and my friend got a lavender oatmilk late and a cookie and it was all so good! The staff was very kind and the atmosphere of the place was great! We stayed for an hour while drawing and drinking our drinks it was such a lovely place definatly will be coming back!

I love this place! Great atmosphere and food. Beverages can take a little while as they are normally very busy, but it is worth the wait

Okay, there are scads of coffee shops in Bellingham, WA. But I am here to tell you, go straight to Cafe Adagio, the place with the best espresso, the best lattes, the best cappuccinos in this town. A taste of Italy!

This is our favorite coffee place in Bellingham. Consistently great coffee, artistically presented. Lunches are great too! Their whole bean coffee, Caffe d'Arte, is our favorite at home to (especially "Meaning of Life", a great medium-dark roast).

Second time coming to this cute spot that’s open really early- probably the best place to go in downtown BHam if you’re awake before 8. Lots of choices for baked goods, packaged edible knickknacks, and of course coffee. The two baristas I interacted with were very friendly and masked up, if that’s your thing. Plenty of seating and lots of windows. Seems like a cozy place to meet up with a friend and chat while the sun comes up or tuck in to a good book in the early morning.
