Best hotel in Medellín by far. the receptionist Juan david blanco was so helpful. He told us where to go and where not to go.also the spa was great and a good price. Also breakfast is excellent. I will definitely stay here again.

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel due to several issues. Firstly, there was a lack of privacy as the bathroom door didn't close properly. Additionally, I encountered a problem with the toilet, which was unable to flush, forcing me to use the bathroom in the lobby. Moreover, the policy of not allowing guests was quite inconvenient. Lastly, as an English-speaking American, communication with the staff was difficult, as they were not proficient in English.

I stayed here recently for an extended time and got to know this hotel very well. First off, the staff here are a bit rude. I stayed here with my girlfriend and we wanted to have a drink with her cousin before we headed out to dinner. The staff here wanted me to pay an additional $100 to allow her to go to the room. This is ridiculous. We then decided to have a drink in the common area. We had our own drinks. We were immediately approached by hotel staff and told if we open another bottle of alcohol, we would have to pay. These people don't understand the meaning of hospitality. Finally, when I left for the airport, my flight was very early so my girlfriend slept in and was going to check us out. I told the staff this as I was walking out. As I was packing my luggage in the car, an employee chased me down and wanted my hotel key. I had told already them my girlfriend would be checking out, why would I give them a key? Just bad service in general. They're very weird about their towels. They're stingy with them, and never have enough. Just avoid this place. Horrible service, rooms are cheap, shower head doesn't work well, and neither did the toilet.

I do not recommend staying at Hotel Viaggio. While the room itself was ok my overall experience was unpleasant due to the spa and gym both being closed (which I was not informed of before booking) and the front desk staff, particularity a receptionist named Jean Pierre, who seemed intent on giving me a hard time. In addition, the complimentary breakfast is nothing special; sweaty eggs and stale bread. Medellin has great food, particularity breakfast, I would not waste a meal at this hotel. However, the kitchen and maid staff were all very friendly towards me. The front desk staffer, Jean Pierre, could not have been less accommodating. When I tried to extend my stay after two nights he told me my room was unavailable and that I would have to check out of the hotel with all my bags and return 4 hours later in order to check into a new room. I waited 30 minutes and asked a different front desk staff member, Paola, who informed my that my room WAS in fact available and that I would not have to be put on the street with all my luggage. The next incident came when I tried to bring a guest to the hotel. I specifically read the paperwork before getting my room to be sure of what the guest policies were. I was blindsided when Jean Pierre tried to change me 100$ USD to have a guest in the hotel. To be fair I had a business associate in the hotel a few hours earlier for about 15 minutes who’d come to grab some paperwork, the issue was that this was a 2nd guest. I did not see what the big deal was, especially since the first “guest” had been gone for hours, nor was I EVER informed of the ‘one guest’ policy prior to this incident and I read the paperwork carefully when checking in. Whether this is actual hotel policy or whether Jean Pierre was throwing out an arbitrary figure, it’s clearly taking advantage of an American tourist. Just the fact that I was being charged $100 exactly in US currency in a Colombian hotel shows the exploitative nature of the charge. In addition the “guest charge” was MORE THEN WHAT I PAID FOR THE ACTUAL ROOM. It is also more then what the average Colombian makes in a week of work. I seriously doubt the hotel has the same guest policy for Colombians. I felt taken advantage of; they were trying to squeeze money out of me and the fact that the spa and gym were closed when it is shown as being open on the website led me to have a poor hotel experience at Viaggio. As I’m writing this I’m realizing that I was told by Jean Pierre that the spa and gym were closed, they very well may be open, I never actually checked. This is the petty stuff I was having to deal with and was why it was a frustrating experience overall. I’m a great guest, I don’t drink or party, I’m quiet, I don’t know what I did the rub the front desk staff the wrong way but it was clear they did not want me there.

I stayed there many times. Always spent a lot in the restaurant, and in the bar. Last visit my girlfriend took one of her gold rings for a minute to clean her hands. The waitress noticed and in minute it disappeared. Very upsetting it was an expensive ring. Requested video cameras they only showed us the video after the exact time it happened. Don’t go there bunch of criminals.

I stayed for 3 nights here, was a little worried about some of the negative reviews, but for be honest, it was a really good experience. We arrived late to the Hotel (past midnight), so the staff from the night shift were awesome 👌, really nice "paisa". The check-in was super fast. They helped us with all our requirements (transportation from and to the airport, booking the tours, etc AT THAT HOUR. Really appreciated). The included breakfast was really good. The view from the room, hot water, internet and cleaning service, also great. If I go to Medellin again (or better when i return to Medellin), I definitely will stay at this hotel, so without any doubt, recommended 👍

Was great in the past... breakfast got worse.. don't drink anything from the mini bar in the room because they will charge you 27mil pesos for two drinks.. If you have a friend come over with you to swing by your room... leave them in the lobby while you go to your room. If they go up with you that will nullify your guest. I found this out the hard way... my guest who was staying with me showed up and was refused access.. we had to buy a different hotel. Other than that.. good location and nice view

First time, stayed 3 days in the penthouse suites on the last floor. Very good overall, would definitely consider coming back. Pros: - Nice staff and overall good customer service - Really nice bed and pillows - Spacious shower - Complimentary good quality water Bottles (Manatial Top brand) - Room service is fast and food is decent - Great view on the studio suites and spacious bathtub Cons: - No hot water. I let the staff know 2 times and even though they checked the shower I had to shower without hot water - The gym is not really a gym, just a small space with some outdated machines - Wi-Fi is very low quality, don’t count on that if you need it for videocalls or heavy data work. - A little bit outside of the bars and restaurants sera, but that could be easily sorted with an uber. - Not a lot of electrical outlets in the studio - no windows or fresh air in the rooms

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered great variety and was very good. Upgraded room with panoramic view is worth the money. Rare, quiet location in el poblado but with an easy walk to the action. Wifi isn't great. Adequate for a vacation but would have been a nuisance to work from here.

The hotel itself is beautiful and staff is helpful. My only complaint is the breakfast. It’s not very good. The arepas aren’t fresh they just leave it in a pot so it’s soggy by the time you get to it. There’s low selection as well.

The location is great. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The property needs some love. It seems that it was a 5-star hotel at some point. Just needs some maintenance on regular basis. The window glass was missing in the dining area. The fixtures in the room, the paint and such needs to be fresher. The food in the hotel, including breakfast, felt a little too comercial and not authentic. The AC in the room we stayed was very loud - had to turn it off at night or wear ear plugs. Even though, the location is remote from craziness, we still heard a lot of noise from cars blasting music pretty much all night especially during the weekend. The mattress was very uncomfortable. It was 4 of us in two different rooms, and non of us was able to get a good night sleep through the entire stay. Thank you for your hospitality but it is not a repeat for us.

We stayed in the viaggio for a week, the staff are the best,so helpful and responsive to all our needs. The breakfast is super, a huge variety and everything so fresh. We were in the airport on our way home and my wife realized she left a pair of earrings in our room,I called the hotel and within minutes someone went up to the room and secured the earrings and held them so our friends who were checking out later that morning could pick them up for us,this meant so much to us, I can’t wait to visit the Viaggio in the future.

The customer service at this hotel is severely lacking. The food is not fresh. They tried to charge more than was quoted. Dishonest people. I would stay elsewhere. They definitely need classes on how to treat the guests better. The bellboys were great, everyone else from the reception staff to the manager were horrendous.

Very helpful staff! We did not know much Spanish however the staff was very willing to help us and made sure that we were comfortable on our visit. The rooms were very spacious and the amenities were all clean and maintained well.

Great hotel, great staff and the complementary breakfast was one of the best I have had. My only observation was the whole time I was there, thy just have one elevator working and they need to work in the timing of the door closing because I got hurt a couple of times. I will come back for sure :)

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during my recent visit to Madellin. Modern clean hotel. Amazing views from the room. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Breakfast has good selection of food. Beds are so comfortable. Enjoyed my stay very much. Only drawback no pool or spa. Highly recommend if you are a solo traveler. Staff is friendly.

The hotel is family friendly and walking distance from parque poblado The family suite was spacious and we had a beautiful view. Breakfast is included which is great if you’re coming with kids. I will say - charging extra for a missing room key , which is PLASTIC is ridiculous

This was my firs time in Medellin and first time staying at this hotel. Walking distance to great bars and restaurants in the neighborhood of El Poblado. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They offer a very complete breakfast, there are several food and the staff was always very attentive. There is a very basic and small gym. A lot of outdoor areas to sit down and enjoy your coffee in the mornings. I would definitely stay again if I ever return to Medellin and I would recommend it if you are ever there.

It’s a good hotel but I would like to have a hair dryer and iron in the room. The view was pretty.

Excellent hotel! Great, quiet location near many nice restaurants, bike rental, and the closed avenue on Sundays. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Also, good breakfast and facilities.

Great hotel, well kept. The hot water is good and so is the food. The front desk, cleaning and security staff were very professional too. However, the wifi was a constant issue. It never worked properly for the seven days that we were there and one day it was out for half the day. For people like us who work remotely, that was definitely an inconvenience.

Decent hotel. I booked the bigger room with 180 panoramic view of the beautiful mountains and it’s worth the upgrade waking up to that. Breakfast did the job to fuel up, didn’t try the gym or pool. Guest policy is strict past your original guest and you have to shell out big dineros for any extra visitors. Location was a little farther from the action and a bit isolated with no restaurants around.
