The coolest railway station I have seen in Sri Lanka. Has a very good friendly staff. This is not a busy station in every time. This station is renovated recently and maintained by AVANI Bentota Resort and SPA. But now it should need a color-wash since the paint is faded.

Bentota railway station is the cutest station I have come across. It gives an amazing beach view from the short platform. I traveled from Bentota to Galle, and don't be worried if you find no one at the ticket window, the officer would come just 5-6 mins before the train time, till then you can capture really good photos of this place. The washroom was very clean and so was the station.

One of the cutest and smallest railway station covered with "Araliya" flowers. Some of express trains also stop at this station. Typically this stations is calm because of the less-crowd. Most of the people who comes to this station are foreigners or the people who wish to visit Bentota beach and the area.

Bentota Railway Station is a very pretty railway station right across from Ventura Beach in Bentota and when looking at it from a distance, looks like an actual railcar Traveling by train in Sri Lanka is relatively easy and incredibly cheap! Colombo to Bentota which runs about an hour and a half cost us only 110LKR
