Bridge across the benthota river. The main entrance to southern province. The train crossing aslo on southern side edge of the bridge. Both sides have eye-catching view.

Bethota bridge is located on the Benthara river. This is the border between the western province which is the commercial hub of Sri Lanka and the southern province where galle, matara and hambanthota located. Width of the banks of Benthara river is very wide in this area

Not fully lit at night at the slabs that make up the footpaths are treacherous, uneven and loose in places. We may have been unlucky but there was also a group of tuk tuk drivers halfway, one who followed us all the way into town and only stopped when we kept looking back at him. Take care crossing in the dark. Views during the day are good.

The most famous Bentota river goes through Bentota bridge while making a marvelous scenery. The bridge makes the boundary between Southern and Western Provinces and also Galle and Kalutara Districts. The new bridge was suddenly opened in the final stages of construction since some cracks have been appeared in the old bridge.

No lights in the night. Good view to the buddist temple. Connects Bentota with Aluthgama. Helps tourists from Bentota to reach normal wine store (the only one in Bentota is ugly). Near this bridge you can find seafood restaurant and several excursion firms who over river Safari on Bentota Ganga river Connects Southern province of Sri Lanka with the Western. A couple meters nearby one more bridge for the trains.

5 stars.. It serves the purpose of a bridge Once me and a couple of friends rode bikes all the way to bentota. We parked our bikes on the side of the bridge and waited for the sun to rise so that we can grab food before we get to the hotel. We were tired as hell from riding from colombo so looked half dea; seeing our status atleast 10 people stopped their vehicles to ask if we were fine :D
