Oakland? Lower bottoms? Neither one of those sound like they represent this dog park very well. Yeah the gates are little sketchy but at least they somewhat Lock close but the park itself is unbelievable there's a nice concrete path that goes around and there is more than enough room for your dog has to run and there are trees and there are bushes and there are shrubs and there are other dogs and there are and there are and there are!!! And who would have thought this would be in Oakland? Being from Southern California I've always heard bad things about Oakland but if this dog park is any indication of how the city really is I've been lied to most of my life! But then again haven't we all?

Fantastic park with lots of space to run for the pups. There is no access to water or restrooms however, and the gates are not always shut completely. So, if you're still working on recall with your pup, I would recommend another park with the double gate closure system instead of this one.

This park is a hidden gem behind BART in West Oakland. I'm mad I didnt find it sooner. Its a HUGE grassy dog run with a trail you can walk along from one end to the other and has a number of benches along the trail to sit at and watch your dog play. I found this place on a Monday afternoon and there were only 2 other dogs there at the time but it was nice to just have a space my dog could run around and play. The only CONS in my option are that since it's one big grassy area, there arent seperate spaces for small and large dogs. And while that's okay for some, i know some small dogs can be afraid of large dogs and some large dogs can get aggressive with smaller dogs. If that's the case for you then you should probably find a different Park, but for the rest of us this is a wonderful place! The other CON is that there is no water fountain or bowls of water out for the dogs. I do wish they had this, But lucky for me I usually have my own thing of water for my dog. So if you plan to visit this park with your dog, you should do the same. 🐶

This is a really good place if you want to get away,this park is never full of dogs and people, sometime alot of the time I see people with the whole park to themselves and there pets. Also good place to take somebody you want to spend some time with. Nice place for a first date enough traffic so she will feel safe and not enough just in case you make it to first base.

I love the size of this fenced park but wish it wasn't so neglected. Grass grows wild often and is patchy. That said, my dog enjoys it and always finds doggy friends to play with. Just super easy to lose balls when fetching.

This is a nice dog park. Quite large with plenty of room to run. Be warned not a good park for after dark. There r a ton of ground squirrel holes and lots of dogs dig after them making them real ankle breakers. If your dog is very prey driven this may not be the best park for them. No double gate and there is a makeshift latch in the gate, but it works. Our pup had a great time, but he was not interested in any of his usual activities. Only dig.

Great park with (mostly) friendly dogs here. Just be careful of playing fetch. Another dog owner said his dog fractured his leg by tripping over one of the hundreds of gopher holes that are in the ground. Aside from that, plenty of parking and a good stop for an energetic pup.

The door is a bit funky. Besides that, what else could you ask for? Big grass fields, lotsa badass dogs, ALL of them trying their best, runnin for balls and stuff. Good dogs

It's totally OK. I'm just a little bitter because my puppy was attacked multiple times. I would give five stars if there was a separate section for friendly dogs and smaller breeds. The aggressive dogs are very hostile and their humans have no understanding of how to correct poor behavior. The other big thing is the lack of water amenities. I have more concerns but for now, just go to jaoqin miller it's better. Lastly the timing is really where you can really enjoy the openness of this park. After the remote workers leave for work around 10am it's super peaceful until a out 12pm, slows down around 4pm for a quiet window of about 40 minutes before the rush comes and then you can expect the slowdown around 7.

Good place to find your stolen car. Ours was there with minor damage and without the catalytic converter. It was parked with others in the same condition. One of those was a rental truck. Maybe you will meet the same arrogant young cops who can talk down to you about the neighborhood. That seems to be their job and not trying to solve or prevent any car theft. They didn't have any interest in the stolen generators on the sidewalk either. Much of the parking on Peralta has been blocked off with barriers. Plenty of parking along the park where people come to sh!t their dogs next to the stolen cars and encampment mobile homes.v

Really big space, easy parking, and they even provide poop bags and benches to sit on! Lots of shady trees to sit under, and a nice place to take your dog to. Only thing missing would be a water fountain, and maybe separated gates? My small dog was very much overwhelmed by all the large dogs, but for my first time here this was a nice getaway :)

Excellent fully-enclosed dog park with lots of grassy space. The only downside is there is no water available, so be sure to bring some!
