I don't know that this is a luxury hotel but it is a good one. Great location, clean and modern rooms, and easy checkout process. I ordered room service for breakfast a few times and it was timely and good. The customer service was sub par (Per Hyatt's standards which I can speak to as an explorist member). There was no follow through when you reported a problem and the front desk staff was a bit intimidating when you checked in with them. I think I would consider staying here again for the location but with more aligned expectations.

I have to say, in all my travels, having lived in hotels for more days than not in the last 7 years, this was one of the best experiences. Here for 4 nights, and they have made me feel so welcome. From the distant smiles and waves from the front desk staff, to the pleasant and warming welcome from the dining staff. They strive to make your stay very relaxing. I am not a member of the Hyatt rewards program, but I couldn’t tell any difference. I would recommend this establishment to anyone traveling to Berlin. Side note- the rooms were very comfortable as well. Slept like a baby.

2.5/5 Well unfortunately I have not much good to say here. It’s in an ok-at-best location, the hotel is old, and breakfast was not good. The room is no better than a Hyatt Place but with piano black walls. The TV in the bedroom was maybe 32inches, the chrome cast worked once, and the change text language option didn’t work. The hotel is old enough that there are is only one accessible outlet on one side of the bed. They don’t even have the lamps with outlets at the base that many older hotels add to make up for a modernized population. Why was there an ancient 4-3 format monitor in the corner of the bathroom? Doesn’t matter because it didn’t work. The breakfast, included as a globalist, was not good. One of our days we did room service and the options are limited to a lot of bread or a lot of bread with a couple eggs. My omelet was over cooked, and they seamed to make up for the lack of quality with the wild number of rolls, buns, and croissants they gave us. We each ate one each and there was 10-15 left. Lastly, I hope whatever employee who came into our room enjoyed the show of me in my bright blue underwear because that’s what they got. It was probably 11am on our check out day and we had a confirmed 4pm checkout. They knock once while I was laying in bed, by the time my feet hit the ground, they knock one more time as they open the door. So i pop around the corner in my underwear and just look at them as they then back out and close the door. Unacceptable from any hotel and I am just glad it was me getting up not my wife. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The most disappointing Hyatt I have stayed at. Our stay was early January 2024

Phenomenal experience as a Globalist member. After the first night, we were upgraded to a King Deluxe room. The switch was worth it--the bathroom was gigantic and everything was so nice. The club access was huge. Breakfast each morning at the in-hotel restaurant was delicious and they also offer drinks and snacks from 5-9. You could easily stay here without paying a dime on food (not that you'd want to, given how much fun Berlin is to explore). The hotel is an absolute steal for a category 4 free night award. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The perfect hotel especially for business travelers. The service and staff are top notch. Sauna and gym area on the top floor are amazing. The only caveat- breakfast at 42 euros is a little steep for Berlin…

What you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. Everything was top notch and we loved every minute of it. Stayed one night here after a terrible experience in another nearby 5-star hotel. Let’s just say Hyatt’s basic rooms put the other guys suites to shame. Would absolutely recommend and we will definitely be back!

Top notch reception (very helpful and professional). Loved the giant jacuzzi on the 8th floor. The bathroom was very classy (although it seems you cannot completely shut both doors). The king size bed is perfect. We would have appreciated to be told that there was a jazz singer on Saturday night at the bar. Perfect for a romantic week-end. Everything looks brand new in the neighbourhood so if you are more into historical neighbourhoods, you still have other options. Excellent hotel!

Wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. The rooms are very comfortable, carefully designed, equipped with a super comfortable bed. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful and just lovely. I spent my birthday during these days and received just the loveliest card and some sweets from the front desk staff. The breakfast is highly recommendable and the service in the Vox restaurant is just marvelous. We enjoyed our time in the Grand Hyatt Berlin very much. Thank you so much for this experience.

Outstanding hotel. We spent two nights here during our Berlin visit. The check in process was amazing. Vaccine check, ID check, band to use coming in and out of the hotel. Staff at checkin desk was extremely friendly (the person helping us gave us a great list of Christmas Markets to visit). The hotel and rooms were very, very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Really great sized bathroom with nice shower and bathtub. The Grand Hyatt is in an outstanding location. Easy walking distance to train station, restaurants and bars. Thank you Grand Hyatt Berlin team. We loved our stay!!

The hotel has a great location, and the potential to be a great hotel. However the reception and club staff we meet during our stay are not consistent in how they represent the brand in their customer interactions. It felt like a struggle every day to actually just get the services that were included without having to constantly prove that we had it included. It started off with our booking being wrong when we arrived at the hotel, we had a booking with club access included but ended up having to pay extra for the access, if that would have been the end of it everything would have been kind of okay anyway, but no.... When we tried to actually use our access we were denied and informed we did not have access, and had to go back to the front desk to get it fixed again. It felt like we were constantly questioned and had to prove that we actually had access to the services instead of the smooth and nice experience we were looking for. So in the end we did avoid using the hotel services just because of that and used other providers services instead! We didn't even use the hotel spa as planned just because the whole experience of the hotel made us just feel bad! The restaurant and bar on the other hand delivered the level of service and quality one would expect. The room was good but missing a fullbody mirror in the dressing area, but i did enjoy the whole dressing area / walk in closet.

I love the Grand Hyatt Berlin. I’ve stayed at most of the well known hotels in Berlin. The Grand Hyatt has an incredible Front of House team, especially the awesome and friendly team at reception. I stay here no-weekly. They always remember me, greeting me and my dog or family with the warmest reception. Great training, great attitude, very hard to find in Berlin.

We enjoyed our stay very much, check in process was easy, room was large and very clean. Staff was great. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options and freshly prepared. Location was excellent. Will definitely consider staying again.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Berlin for almost 2 weeks on my most recent trip to Germany. The Grand Hot Berlin is the best tired I've ever been in. The spa on the top floor is absolutely fantastic. The breakfast that is made available for globalists is really exceptional. They offer a very wide variety of different kinds of food and beverages. In the afternoon and evening they offer a very nice food in the club room. I can't say enough how enjoyable the place was.

I stayed at Grand Hyatt Berlin for a weekend in April and honestly I could not have made a better choice. I was assigned an amazing room on the sixth floor, with views over the city. The bed was huge and so comfy that I had a hard time getting out each morning. The room also had an amazing large bathroom with high quality pampering products. The breakfast was served in the room at no extra cost, by just completing the relevant form and leaving it outside the door. It was delicious and the variety was more than enough for any preference. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the hotel's location unbeatable. Finally, the highlight was the pool at the rooftop, offering jaw-dropping views over the city. Cannot recommend staying there enough!

Very, very good hotel. First thing is quality and every worker is polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and also terrace and pool was excellent. You can also enjoy sun after swimming and pool area has also whirlpool. It is shame that we have so little time to stay but next time we certainly come here again. Situation is perfect and hotel has good and safe parking place. And, for me it was important that towels and bathdrope smell good and fresh. Sad to leave.

We loved our stay here over Easter. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (Valentino at the front door and Alexander at the resto were really helpful/hard working) We were upgraded to a club floor room. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Wifi worked really good as well. Hotels location is great too. We also really enjoyed both restaurants and bar. We travel often and this is the best Hyatt properties we have been at.

Brilliant breakfast, and bed. Not enough storage for 2 people for 4 nights, after being on a river cruise. Only 1 flavour of decaffeinated tea in the room, coffee, tea & sugars etc not topped up and no milk for coffees. Air conditioning not adequate.

This was a beautiful hotel. The restaurants and room were great. Truly will be my hotel when going to Berlin. Pool, cigar lounge. The front desk staff was amazing. Everyone was truly helpful. One person in particular was Oscar at the front desk, helping me with my Uber app and printing out my boarding pass. A truly beautiful experience.

This property is by far the best in quality and service amongst Berlin hotels we (a family of 5) stayed there for 2 weeks in mid September 2023 Every aspect of accommodation and service exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the place was top notch clean and exquisitely furnished ( Mr Cristine Tromba ) the assistant manager provided professional and cheerful help whenever required and we cannot thank him enough

Great location close to Potsdamer Platz. Service and staff was really nice and helpful. Rooms and spacious and amazing. Good breakfast with variety of options. The only tiny drawback is that the windows are not entirely sound-proof so sometimes some street noise can be heard.

Service isn't the best. Staff at the reception could be friendlier, especially when you have the Hyatt globalist status. One of the ladies at housekeeping was downright rude when having to come to the room twice to deliver an extra pair of slippers. Room service was very good.

Great location conveniently located near the transportation hub at Potsdamer Platz. Great facilities, courteous and helpful front desk, and neat rooms. Top place for a weekend stay.

One of the best hotels I stayed in, around the world. Yes, not the cheapest it's on the expensive side but I could feel how every cent was put back to my service. The room was amazing, like come on a small TV screen pointing to the shower room. Great staff always trying to help even with the wirdest asks. And a very small thing that makes the room like its your on for the duration you're there; no odor! no fabriz or "special" smells, just clean. This hotel schools in not showing how hard they work ... Cos'e nothing is perfect three kinks (didn't effect the score): 1. don't ever send people to the supermarket to buy sim cards ther are impossible to set even for you guys. 2. please heat up the jacuzzi a little bit more. 3. check the staind steel around the shower heads it's starts to rust.

Despite my pleasant stay, I was shocked to find a $200+ charge on my bill for a short call. I explained the situation to the lady, but she was not only completely unresponsive, but condescending as well. Try to understand customers' needs, which sometimes come from urgency or desperation, instead of trying to scam them.

We didn't stay at the Grand Hyatt Berlin but we were lost and asked for help at the reception. Ms. Kim Ly was extremely helpful and nice. She explained to us which way to go and also gave us some great recommendations for the restaurants at the hotel and for interesting places to see in the Potsdamer Platz area. Next time we are in Berlin we will definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt!

Pristine hotel with friendly staff. The pool and spa on the top floor is incredible. The rooms are very thoughtfully designed, and, again, very clean. The club lounge had very good snacks and beverages to supplement my eating while in Berlin. This might be my favorite Grand Hyatt stay to date.

It is good place to stay and room is big and clean, restaurants and shoppings, casino all around here. Train is couple minutes away.

Room was nice and clean. Our air conditioner worked well enough but room never got cool enough. Front desk staff was knowledgeable especially Philip who checked us in. Our server at the club lounge was spectacular. Her and the younger server served us so well and remembered our drinks. Housekeeping did a great job. Breakfast at Vox was lovely and delicious. Please add salad to your breakfast buffet.

Very nice hotel and good service. The room was spacy and good equipped. Breakfast was plenty but every day the same. The spa is on the roof with a nice view and a whirlpool next to the pool. Will definitely come again

Fabulous hotel! The location is terrific for walking to see many things. A little Christmas village was opened the night before we left, within a block, which was a lot of fun. We strolled to the Sony Center and Mall of Berlin. There is much to see. The hotel staff us friendly, the rooms are lovely ( I could take the bathroom home with no problem), the breakfasts were delicious, and the beds were very comfortable.

Could not recommend this hotel enough. We stayed here in October 2021 and by far the nicest, safest and most welcoming hotel myself and my partner have ever stayed in. The decor is luxurious, and very obviously a five star atmosphere. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The pool was wonderful, great atmosphere there. The breakfast was fantastic, could not have been any better there were plenty of options to suit all dietary needs. The area was central and close to everything, and it felt very safe. There are lots of places to eat nearby too. Highly recommend this hotel, we could not fault it in any way as it was so enjoyable from start to finish.

Nice hotel, that placed next to very good shopping spots in Berlin. Has very good service. Firstly we came with our dog and there were bed and plates in the room for him. That was very pleasant to see. Secondly, we needed to order flowers and it was first days after New Year, so you can imagine how complicated it can be. Anyway we got wished flowers on time. + Room had amazing huge bathroom that you will definitely love! Enjoy;)

Absolutely fantastic hotel! I am a Globalist so it goes without saying I have stayed in many Hyatt properties but Grand Hyatt Berlin is the best. Great location, impeccably clean rooms, and great customer service. Our junior suite was very spacious and the attention to detail simply superb ( nightine choclate treats on the night stand). Sometime Hyatt properties can be hit or miss but Hyatt Grand Berlin reminds me why I am a loyalist to the brand.

Great location and lovely hotel. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Most can speak very good English as well. The breakfast buffet is great with lots of choices and nice outdoor seating. The rooms are great and showers very nice. Only thing is the AC is very weak and room was warm.

Excellent quality hotel situated at Potsdam Plaza, a good central location. Good size rooms, good size beds. Air con is quiet and works well. Staff efficient and welcoming. Good choice at breakfast, all edible and nutritious. Swim pool situated on roof (indoors), was a little cold but bearable if you keep swimming. Worth a revisit.

Stayed during the marathon weekend. I’m sure they were at full capacity but the high quality of service did not diminish. I’m very impressed as everyone is still struggling with staffing shortages. Kudos to the management team. Incredible place to stay in Berlin generally and especially during the marathon.

Fantastic hotel with absolutely giant floors. The bathroom is just unreal and contains a wet room with a beautiful tub and shower. The staff set out treats for us and responded to every request immediately. Great location nearby everything with a quick walk to all of the touristy and historic areas.

Very modern hotel. Customer service was excellent. Sushi was top quality and impressive with fresh table side grated Wasabi. The cigar lounge and bar attendants were very knowledgeable and professional.

Great, luxurious hotel in a great location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are nice and spacious, although there's a bit of "triumph of form over function" limited closet and storage space, but it all looks great.

Service is good especially the people in Vox are very friendly and nice. We did enjoy our breakfast very much during our stay but unfortunately we did a minor complaint upon checking out. This gentleman is not really meet high standard of this hotel represent. He did not say sorry when system can not print out the detail of my expenses and promise to email the related information which I did get till now.

Great design and beautiful decor, good location in the very nice neighborhood. Amazing service specially from Amparo and Maria at the breakfast , very welcoming with nice smile and great attitude. Thank you for the great weekend at your hotel, I'm sure I will be back again.

Wenn ich mir hier so die Rezensionen durchlese, bin ich überrascht ,wie begeistert doch so viele von diesem Hotel sind. Meine Erwartungen von einem 5 Sterne Hotel waren jedenfalls bei weitem höher. Ich möchte nicht falsch verstanden werden, das Hotel entspricht einem guten Standard, aber von besonderen Höhepunkten oder gar Luxus kann hier nicht gesprochen werden. Bei mir bleibt dieses Hotel jedenfalls als ein beliebiges unter vielen in Erinnerung.
