This
is
one
of
those
few
hostels
that
I’ve
“starred”
on
Google
Maps.
It’s
the
best
hostel
I’ve
stayed
at
in
Germany
and
one
of
only
two
that
I
look
forward
to
staying
at
again.
Most
important
for
me
when
I
was
researching,
it
has
a
kitchen.
A
nice
one
too:
it
is
very
well
equipped,
reasonably
clean
(dependant
on
the
effort
other
guests
put
in),
and
is
a
phenomenal
place
for
dinner-time
and
evening
socializing.
The
best
part
is
that
if
you
make
a
communal
dinner
for
the
hostel
you
get
a
free
night’s
stay.
Careful
when
you
are
cooking
though
—
it
can
get
perhaps
a
little
too
cozy
at
times,
if
you
don’t
lay
down
the
law.
The
washrooms
and
showers
are
top-notch.
Cleaned
regularly,
and
it
shows.
Likewise
the
dorms
are
great.
They
are
of
varying
sizes
and
while
I
stayed
in
an
eight
bed-dorm
I
never
felt
like
it
was
too
crowded
or
overly
difficult
to
sleep.
Reception
staff
is
amazing.
(Shout
out
to
one
gal
who
gave
me
recommendations
for
metal
shows
in
Berlin,
I’m
sorry
I
don’t
remember
your
name!)
Any
time
I
had
a
question,
or
special
request,
or
even
printing
off
travel
documents
these
folks
were
keen
to
help.
The
atmosphere
at
this
hostel
is
also
hard
to
beat.
I
daresay
it
was
every
day
that
I
would
find
myself
in
the
kitchen
talking
with
someone
new.
In
fact,
I
made
new
friends
(which
I
intend
to
keep)
within
fifteen
minutes
of
checking
in
and
dropping
my
bag
off
in
the
dorm.
Every
night
there
would
be
some
sort
of
game
going
on...
and
any
unwary
travellers
walking
in
to
the
kitchen
invariably
found
themselves
dragged
in.
😉
In
all
seriousness
this
is
the
kind
of
hostel
that
feels
like
a
home.
Like
a
friend’s
house,
where
people
gather
to
catch
up
and
enjoy
each
other’s
company.
Check
it
out!
