Mouldy food in the fridge, a hardly working freezer, disgustingly unclean plug-in hot plates and small pieces of food all around the sinks made sure I only went in the kitchen when completely necessary. The shower heads can't be held up and there are no shower curtains, making it difficult to keep the floor outside dry for when you want to put your clothes on. The toilets were bearable, just. One was blocked for a significant amount of time and there were only 4 on our floor of the hostel. At night however it became quite the endeavour, the lights are on a movement sensor and they take far too long to turn on and can't be easily re-activated while in the cubicle. Between the two of us staying there was only one key to the room. The card reader was broken so the staff only had a limited number of keys for the guests. The beds were very loud when moving, the mattress was passable but still on the thin side, the pillows were by far the worst part of the bedding situation. Squares with uneven stuffing meant you had to fold it and still be uncomfortable. The beds did also not have curtains which would have been a nice addition for the amount of people in the room and the price we paid to stay. Pros: Lidl only a minute away Hot and cold running water Automatic paper towel dispenser in the toilet Windows that could be opened at the guests' digression If I were to stay in Berlin again I would try my absolute best to avoid this place, it would be worth spending more on a different hostel to increase your chance of enjoying your stay.

I would put 2 star till the checkout...but the front desk guy was not friendly at all, so you get 1. The location of the hostel is okay, the staff of the hostel isn't friendly, the hotel isn't clean or maybe once a week? Imagine if you towel fall while you take a shower... You probably will have to burn it... :D Rooms are okay and lockers available. For the price, don't expect too much, if the staff was friendly, it could be a +, pity.

Good location, good prices, the wifi is good, the inside is clean and the showers have hot water. The communal area is in the very back of the first floor so I didn't even know it existed until I went since I stayed on second floor. Lockers are all their and the beds are fairly comfortable. Location is great.

It was very disappointing to say the least. It looks very shady and there's a ceremony hall next door which plays music until wee hours in the morning, which is very disturbing for a sound sleep. The bed was very uncomfortable. The toilets were pathetic. During my stay, there was a huge crew of students who had checked in as well and they wouldn't even flush the toilet. Somebody in the hostel needs to reinforce the rules. The bathrooms were horrible - I could see sink/drain flies hovering over me while I took the shower. No bathrooms had hooks or even the space to put the toiletries. Only place was to put it on the floor while I took the shower. Overall, the hostel was dirty and I'd NOT recommend this hostel to anyone. Go at your own peril.

Hats off! I wouldn't have guessed that the rundown, dirtiest and loudest hostel I've ever stayed in would actually be in Berlin. The bed was not covered and when I asked, there was no cover for my pillow on the second day. When the window is open, the room is noisy at night and during the day. Either from traffic or from people partying outside their bedrooms. Party outside the rooms until 4am. Dirty toilets due to partying despite the cleaning lady being constantly present. Two days later the seats were still dirty and sticky from drinks. This works much better for a few euros more!

I can not recommend staying at this hostel. Noisy, dirty sheets, rough reception, for the first impression was very strange !! there are no towels, the floors are dirty. the staffs are weird. I hope my review will help someone to choose the right hostel. and for servicing staff hostels to improve their quality of service.

I’ve been in so many Hostels by now, and this one was by far the worst! The staff is quite nice though. But sleeping with mould in one room is a dangerous act for your health! And the kitchen, if you can even call it a kitchen... is so sad. Not even the kitchen from a student would ever look that empty. Don’t they trust us ? Or why don’t they have any cutlery which isn’t one time use (plastic) as well as plates (paper). I felt like nothing is working and everything is falling apart. I would never even think of going there again, even if all other places are double the way to City Center. Someone should probably alert the health center for the mould problem (see my photo if you don’t believe me)... Stay away! There are better places for this price

Very Bad experience. Unfriendly staff, dirty. Have the feeling they are criminal people around. I wanted to book online but they not let me use their WiFi. Kicked me out after some minutes while I was trying to make the booking. The stuff working there was aggressive towards me. Think it is very loud since all rooms seem cheap build. Never again. Be careful. Even for loading phone they charge extra! 0Stars or better -5 - Check my other reviews, I do usually try to be positive but here it’s not possible at all.

Great position, amazing staff, pretty cheap. The toilets are not so good but still acceptable. They offer discount for breakfast in a bar close to the hostel: for 5 euros you can eat quite a lot to start the day. Also, they offer free luggage deposit, which is very nice!

Hostel was great for the price and the staff spoke great English and were very helpful. No where online does it mention that you need to put a €10 deposit down for each person for the key though so make sure you have this money to hand. Rooms were clean and pillows were very comfy. Top bunk mattresses dip a lot in the middle but this did not interrupt my sleep. In a great location and the rooms get very warm at night. Exactly what you expect a hostel to be like.

This was the most sociable hostel we stayed at during our month-long trip. Good social areas and we met plenty of friendly people. The rooms were spacious and lockers were provided free of charge (lock required though). The staff were a bit mixed: whilst being helpful, they often told us all to 'keep it down' in the social areas which seems a bit ridiculous to me given that it was only 10pm in a youth hostel. Other than that, would definitely recommend it for its fantastic location.

Met some nice people here the hostel is not too big so it's not like a big corporate chain hostel but it's also not small enough to be homely but I enjoyed my stay. The reception staff seemed like they hated me from when I checked in till I left maybe they were having a bad few days but they didn't seem friendly at all. It's in a great spot for getting to all the main sites in Berlin so was great for the price.

I don't know how to describe the nastiness of the hotel. I had terrible time staying here for 2 nights. I tried to get out of the hostel as soon as I could. We booked a four bed room and the room was just OK and what to even talk about the disgusting washroom so untidy,the corridors have foul smell you need not wonder if you get sick after using that. Stay at your own risk. The only positive point is the hostel is right beside the U bahn station

Photos shows something else. You have to climb stairs to reach the office to meet an arrogant and highly unfriendly care taker. There are 2 bathrooms and toilets for the entire floor of residence and you dont even have shower gels or soap., forgetting of a towel.

Would give a 2.5 star review, but obviously can't. Place is mediocre at best, lots of rooms sharing 3 showers. Toilet on the first floor is broken, so everyone has to use the one on the second floor. Basic amenities, bed, pillow, blanket, locker. Place is barely maintained. Nothing exceptional, just a place for resting after a long day.

I give them three stars because I think they are providing housing for low income locals and refugees. That is very admirable. If you are low on money or in a fix, you WILL survive staying here. People overhype so much on this website. That being said, my sheets were not clean, the bathroom was barely usable, and the room was an absolute mess. BUT the staff was nice and were clearly trying to make a good experience. You get what you pay for with this hostel.

I was there 2 years ago. Receptionist girls were not kind at all. Facilities were just acceptable but the kitchen was terrible and bathrooms were just good. Dorms were ok but needed curtains or blackouts. Mattress was old and a little bit noisy. It's really well located, near touristic places. I'd say: bearable for a couple nights.

This hostel is okay, I don't think you need to have too high expectations for the price. Toilets were clean, showers not so much, the rooms were quite good, but some guests were a bit strange ;) Reception was nice, it was practical that there was a Lidl right next door, the subway wasn't far either...

The bathroom and toilet weren’t not that clean. The trash can was always full and will only be cleaned in the morning. The number of staff is way less than the beds they offer. The light in the common rooms has been broken during my staying (4nights). There is a noisy restaurant downstairs and on weekend it’s even worse. Definitely not worth any penny!

We went there the second week of July 2018. The rooms were nicely equiped except for locks for the lockers. Bathroom could be better, they were old and some showers were not really functional. HOWEVER, we found some employee from the cleaning stuff that was with both hands searching inside one of our lockers. Sadly when we went to the reception to notify this, the girl working there was really rude to us. Stuff is rude, grumpy and not really trustful. I would not recommend this hostel
