Excellent food and good vibes. Highly recommended

Food is good! Location is fine and restaurant decorative. Reason for 3 stars; service very pushing. Really didn't like it that they were directly asking for a tip. You hand them money, say 50 euro over 37 bill. Then it is asked, how much tip you want to give. How about giving the money back, and say that a tip is appreciated. We are not in America 🙄 ?! I didn't give any, the prices are high, service not that great, and you can only pay cash which is super inconvenient. (It's 2022, WHY would you not have a pin machine other than shady reasons?). We had to search for an ATM. Overal wouldn't go again because of this reason.

First time trying vegetarian and Vietnamese food and it was really great. From the 3 starters, soup to the fried rice noodle,every dish was tasty. The decorations are also stylish.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was outstanding, and I was truly impressed by the spectacular vegan food they offer. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, providing splendid service throughout my visit. What's even more impressive is that the restaurant is 100% vegan, which is a rare find. The ambiance of the place is great as well, making it a perfect spot for a delicious vegan meal. Highly recommended

Das Soy ist zu Fuss vom Alexanderplatz aus bequem in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Die U-Bahnstation Rosa-Luxenburg-Platz ist in unmittelbahrer Nähe. Das Lokal liegt direkt neben dem legendären Kino Babylon und vis à vis von der Volksbühne. Die Öffnungszeiten sind sehr angenehm, es ist bereits am Mittag und durchgehend bis abends offen. Der Ort ist hübsch eingerichtet, das Licht ist nicht zu hell. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Sauberkeit, resp. der Zustand der Toiletten (ist aber nicht so schlimm…🤷🏻‍♀️). Tagsüber hat man, dank der grossen Fenster, eine tolle Sicht nach draussen. Im Sommer gibt es auch Aussenplätze. Das Essen kommt attraktiv angerichtet und heiss auf den Tisch und ist hervorragend, (schön umami!👌🏻) die Auswahl reichhaltig. Die Wartezeiten sind angemessen und die Portion sehr gut bemessen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut! Die Bedienung spricht Deutsch, sodass auch Extrawünsche angebracht werden können (zB. ohne Koriander😬!). Ich gehe, wenn ich Berlin besuche, manchmal sogar mehrmals am Tag hin…

The staff of this cute little restaurant is very friendly and the food is good! You should keep in mind that the place gets very busy and you might not get a place without a reservation.

The food was good but the issue was with the restaurant itself. There were too many tables in such a small space and it was packed with people on a Wednesday evening. No social distancing could be followed in such a tiny space. So I would reduce my rating from 4 stars to 3.

Very cosy Vietnamese restaurant near Alexanderplatz. It was quite crowded, seems that people love this place. We we’re served very fast. The dishes were delicious. We enjoyed our dinner. It is cash only, and it’s 2G+ corona rules in the moment we visited :)

100% vegan restaurant. Food is good. The staff is good and friendly. Only cash payments. The service time can be improved as we had to wait a little long for our food.

We shared the rice based menu. We both absolutely loved it. For the price it was an absolute slam-dunk. The staff was great. I just wish I would have picked the pineapple/mint/coconut drink that my wife got since it was super refreshing in the summer heat. The mango drink was good but it would have been better in a day with milder weather.

The food was great and the prices were fair. I would however mention that the tables and seats were really dence so it wasn't very comfortable, but we still enjoyed the meal very much.

Among those vegan Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin, this place used to be one of my favorites. They have a large menu with interesting dishes, which are generally nicely prepared, beautifully garnished and flavorful in taste. It seems that the menu changed over the years. Now there seem to be fewer extraordinary dishes. The food still is ok though! (A bit salty for my taste, but I think my salt tolerance is generally lower than most Germans.) Bit pricey in my opinion. Btw, the location is quite popular, so it can be difficult to get a good seat at times. Better call to reserve a table.

Great lunch and Not that pricey. Recommend to check this out while in Berlin, won’t regret it for sure! One of the best, if not the best vegan place in the city.

Soy is fantastic, they have a variety of tapas-style dishes and main courses, all of which are vegan. We tried a mix of both and everything was delicious. The lunch menu options were great and good value. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Wir waren erst nicht sicher, ob wir im richtigen Restaurant gelandet sind, da draußen nix dransteht 😅 ...ausser dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist (erster Minuspunkt!) Der Service war etwas unbeholfen und holprig, aber freundlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker ✴️ alles in allem ging es relativ zügig. Allerdings -so wie immer und überall- war danach Service-Wüste! Es wurde weder abgeräumt, noch wurde nach einem weiteren (Getränke-)Wunsch gefragt! 🙄 Naja, bin wohl einfach zu durstig und gemütlich - selbst schuld 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nette Atmosphäre, allerdings recht dunkel um die Karte zu lesen oder das Essen zu erkennen. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und schön angerichtet nur für mich waren die Portionen für den Preis doch recht klein gewesen. Ein paar Möhren und Tofu mit Soße und Nudeln für 13 €.

The vegan food are so delicious! Tasty and a lot of flavour. Very affordable compared to German prizes and the staff are very happy and friendly. Recommend this to all vegans visiting Berlin.

I keep coming back! Great place for vegan lunch and dinner. The place has a nice atmosphere and the food is great, all vegan and for a good price. Whenever I'm here alone for dinner I eishef they had a more comfortable place for people eating by themselves than just sitting solo at a table for two in the middle of the room. An extra bonus would be if they accepted card payments. I would happily pay a bit more, just for the ease. The service is quick and staff is friendly, both German and English works. For sure going to stay a regular for me.

I frequent many vegan resturants, This is one of the best in terms of Asian food. That was the best "tofu finger" I ate. and the second meal was just fabulous, The different textures and taste was just amazing

One of the best vegan Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin in my opinion. Heart warming soups, delicious curries and freshly brewed teas. Very kind service. Prices are fair.

Soy is one of my favorites due to its vegan food options. The menu has a wide variety and not that pricey. I really like their soup and rice paper rolls (that's my constant there ;) ) location is also good being close to babylon and Alexanderplatz. Staff is also really friendly and service is fast too. I have been their during both- lunch and dinner hours and it always has good crowd. Just be sure you carry cash to pay at the restaurant as they do not accept cards.

Really Good vegan food 🥘 🙏 I ordered the red curry (my all time favorite test if an Asian restaurant is any good) and it didn’t disappoint 🤪 on the contrary… I enjoyed random strips of gooey seitan and decisive flavor of the red curry paste dissolved in creamy coconut milk. Rice cooked to perfection … washed it off with a well balanced white wine and happily rolled back to m hotel nearby 💪 success!

Nr. 40 was by far too sweet (probably prepared with a lot of sugar). Good service. Drink was tasty. Definitely a restaurant for the masses. Table after table without any inventive or personal flair to it.

It was the second time we ate here. Its a lot of fun ordering one of the menus and being able to try all these different dishes, which of course are delicious. Service was also very nice.

Super nice Vietnamese vegan restaurant near Alexanderplatz. Someone recommended this place to us and we are super grateful they did! The food was awesome, rich in flavor and colors. We could have order the daily specials but instead we asked for some eye catching dishes on the menu. If you are looking to save some money in your vacation or daily life, the daily specials looked amazing when other people order it haha The staff will help you with any doubts about your food in the kindest way. Keep in mind they only accept cash.

Super nice and tasty food. Highly recommend any of the sharing menu’s “Sharing is caring”. Don’t need to order side dishes because the portions are very generous. IT’S POSSIBLE TO PAY WITH NFC! (In the website does not mention it and we had to run unnecessary to an ATM.)

Amazing restaurant! The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The homemade iced teas were very refreshing. The staff was also very friendly and the restaurant was cosy and well decorated. Would definitely recommend! On the photos: tofu noodle soup, mushroom stuffed tofu with vegetables and rice in curry, crispy green tofu and spring rolls as starters.

Just back in Berlin for a few days after my first visit in 1989-yes, a few months before the wall came down! Found Soy by chance looking for restaurants near my H4 hotel. The food-vegan-was excellent, and also the ambiance, the service and the white wine I had. But the main reason I’m writing this is because the waiter, who managed to find a table for me without a reservation on a Saturday, refused to take an extra 5 euros saying it was too much, after I confessed to him that I wasn’t sure if my tip was fair and offered more. That’s a place I’d go back to anytime!

I've been to soy around 4/5 times, each time I come to Berlin basically. I discovered it by chance the first time I visited and it is amazing. For best value get one of the menus for two people, you get to try many dishes and it will keep your belly full!

Amazing vegan food! They have a variety of dishes and everything is served in a cute metalic pot which keeps the food warm. The service was very slow and inefficient. I had to wait so long and they mixed the order as well but because the food was very delicious I give 4 stars instead of 3

Tasty vegetarian Vietnamese food with great menu / sharing and of course vegan hotpot options! We ordered an hotpot for 2 which was a nice experience. Everything was really fresh and their ice teas were spectacular as well. Great location in Mitte near Volks theatre and some old school cinemas.

The portion is small and pricey, and the food is salty and too sweet. The restaurant seems to promote bottle waters and doesn’t serve tap water for conscious eaters. It makes me question their motivation and origin for starting such a vegan restaurant. Most importantly, 5 minutes after having lunch here, my partner and I both experienced intense stomachache. We ate at hundreds of restaurants across the EU with ever having this issue. Serious hygiene concern here.

We had the 3rd rice set and would absolutely recommend. All the dishes were very tasty and fragrant. The soup was probably my favourite. Overall very nice atmosphere 👌

A nice vegetarian restaurant, had a lot of different ways cooked tofu and tasted some flavors I hadn't tried before. We ordered a set menu for two and I really liked the soup and curry.

Very nice place, with kind staff and good vibes. My curry was delicious, vegetable perfectly soft, noodles al dente, only tofu was a bit tasteless :/. Also payment with cash only in 2021 is a big let down, sorry.

This Restaurant really helped me. I needed to do a conference and needed a place as soon as possible since onward late. The team directly offered me a nice seat and made it possible to join my meeting. (Other Places just said go away) The coffe is amazing, never tried Vietnamese coffe before! Best taste and interesting experience to see the coffe dropping in the glass :) Wonderful atmosphere, and great and positive vibe people working here. I did not try the vegan food, but it smelled amazing! Definitely come back with my wife and try out the kitchen. Big recommendation for this place!

This hit the spot! Super delicious and flavorful, the rice platter was the perfect way to taste multiple dishes. We finished every last bite. The substantial mocktail list was a lovely surprise. We were lucky to get one of the last available tables - definitely book ahead or go early!
