Wow! After walking around looking for a place to have dinner we saw this place and it had vegan options for my son. He loved his burger and said the fries were perfectly crispy and done on the outside with a creamy interior. My pork knuckle was amazing! The crackling was perfection and the sauerkraut and potatoes were so tasty. The beer went down quickly to wash it all down and the place was popping. Must check this place out for some authentic German food.

Avoid at all cost!!! The food was terrible - everything pre-made and heated up quickly, having no taste whatsoever. The prices weren’t matching with the quality at all. However, the main issue of this place was the service! If you are a tourist, prepare yourself to be treated differently!!! I’ve never felt so unwelcome and as if I need to beg them to leave my money to dine in. This is not what hospitality looks like!!!! The staff was ignoring us and we were waiting longer to be served in comparison to locals. Also, they were so incompetent and unprofessional and they were actively showing us with their rude behaviour that our place is not among locals. The local people around us were also staring at us as if we’ve ate their dinner. The design of the place is also not my cup of tea although I liked the big walls filled with pictures of politicians and important people. To sum up, I will not recommend this place to nobody!!!

We had the grilled pork knuckle, grilled black pudding with beers and everything was excellent. Historical restaurant. Make a reservation online to be assured of seats. Note that tables and seats are laid out in beer hall style.

Definitely not our usual type of meal, but got to say it was excellent and would highly recommend. We had been to Berlin a few times previously and was meaning to go but never worked out I can't remember the name of what we got, apart from its the platter for minimum 4 persons, serious amount of food, definitely be hitting it next time we're in town again

Great place to have a traditional Berlin sausage. The tables on the outside are very comfortable and warm during autumn and winter. The rest room was broken so they only had the men’s room to share between men and women. Service was decent. Waiter spoke below average english for Berlin. Food in general was delicious. Decent place to have a Berlin currywurst and a Beer.

Amazing Experience! The staff was lightning quick and did a really good job. We were hardly waiting for our food, which was absolutely delicious. They also have outdoor seating next to the Spree River.

It was one of the restaurants in the city centre recommended by a local and it was open on Sunday. It was also a very good choice. The food is really delicious. The staff was very pleasant and professional. The place has a very specific atmosphere with a lot of pictures and memorabilia. We also bought some glass here. Highly recommend.

It is a must to visit when in Berlin! Located near the river Speer and offer an insight in the political game during the wall period. Enjoy great beer and why not a fantastic curry wurst. Indoor and outdoor seatings.

Let’s be honest : the food is very good but everything’s else is wrong. But would you like a place where waiters do not care about taking your order, forget half of the courses (kids in our case had to wait for an extra 40 min after we were served), and every ask seems to be a torture to our waitress, almost rolling her eyes. An upside down world.

Food is nice however the service was not good. Waitress attends too many tourists and they asked us to leave after 1 hour even though we made the reservation for 2 hours and we were still consuming. Very bad service and I would not recommend going. Only reason for 2 stars was because the food was ok

This was my first time try pig feet and it was not too bad but me and my friend liked sausage more than Schweinshaxe. Nice place to try German foods with great view.

Amazing restaurant with good food and great service. We had visited their stand at the 2021 Christmas Market in Berlin. The beer is outstanding. I love the atmosphere with a massive amount of political and historical photos. A must visit while in Berlin.

Nice German restaurant with typical dishes in a very nice spot! They also have tables outside with a nice view on the river :) best thing: they have vegetarian/vegan option! The vegan Bratwurst was super delicious!

If you want to spend hear a good time, you need to reserve place before, because it is one of the popular places in Berlin. It will be miracle to find free place without reservation. Foods and beverages are very delicious. Design of the restaurant is interesting. I recommend you to visit this place.

3 American couples traveling in Berlin. Our guide recommended this place. It was very nice sitting outside on the terrace by the water, under large umbrellas and drinking a cold beer. We did the “sharing” plates… Dom-Platte and Kolsche Tapas. Very enjoyable afternoon.

Everything we ordered came out very quickly and tasted pretty good. We came here after 6pm on a Sunday and it was packed already. The view by the river is nice.

Perfect spot in the afternoon to enjoy the warm sun, listen to locals, amazing Berlin Spritz, currywurst and watch the action on the Spree

Difficult to move around when it's crowded; the tables and chairs are very close together. Other than that, great service, great beer and food, and clean bathrooms. The location is great for tourists, too.

Really good location just by the river. Plenty of beer and of course the special Cologne beer Kölsch that shall be drinked in small glasses of you are a party order a Krantz that hold enough for a while... the service varied during the evening... food was above average and easy. We started with flamkuchen which is tge German (Elsace) version of pizza and I then had the tartar both worth ordering. They also have some seats indoor but not really big. I recommend a good sunny day and sit outdoor by the rivet.

Great restaurant for a beautiful lunch and a few beers. Fun and friendly staff. Put your beer mat on top of your glass when you've had enough or they'll keep topping you up

No tap water because their water piping system is more than 200 yrs old. Unbelievable reasoning, I checked their toilet and seemed to be at standard of plumbing regulations! Cracked glasses. Gave us 4 plate but 2 pairs of fork and knife (there were 4 of us). Consolation was that the weiss bier and pork knuckle was excellent! A little bit pricey!

Very good food quality and fast preparation. Nice variety of German cuisine as well as the beer is great. Best pork shank and liver I’ve even tasted. During summer it’s great to stay outside with Spree view. The price is also good. Clean location, above average. We’ve been here several times and be back soon.

German “tourist” restaurant by the river. Nice to sit by the river when the weather is warm to during the day to watch the boats go by. Local German style food with quite a wide selection if not everything. Tried their seasonal menu with chanterelle mushrooms and was quite nice - soup and flamkuschen (German pizza). Portions are huge so may be good to share if you’re not a big eater. Service could be friendlier but it seems to be a standard in most German restaurants.

Nice place full of Berlín history, next to Banhof Fridichstrasse and is a good place to take a break after you strolling the historic side of Berlín and have a drink, German beer of course...and traditional German food

Lovely spot to catch up with friends for a bite to eat and a beer. Right next to the river, we went here after our one hour city cruise. I opted for the curry wurst whilst my partner chose the vegan flamkucken, both meals were delicious. Service was a tad slow, but then it was very busy.

A nicely decorated bar and restaurant in the center of Berlin. Close to famous touristic attractions and nearby the river Spree. You’ll be able to enjoy beers from Cologne, up to a 10 litter beer gallon to share, with delicious food. A little pricey, but that’s the district and the touristic area. Service can be nice or rude, depends on who you fall with.

Just have a grilled pork knuckle with sauerkraut. It's just perfect (but huge). Have it with a kolsch beer and you are sorted. Best place for traditional food. The atmosphere is quirky, authentic, warm and full of joyful friendly people.

This was our home base during our time in Berlin. Mo was our server several times, he is incredible. The food was great, the service was great, definitely recommend the bratwurst! My friend Bun had the Currywurst at least six times (he’s a little odd). Right on the water so you can watch the boats go by. Beer is tight. Life is tight.
