Es gibt wenig zu meckern. Willkommen in der City Pension, eine typische Stockwerkpension in einem alten Berliner Mietshaus nahe der S-Bahn Charlottenburg. Für wenig Geld habe ich ein Einzelzimmer zum grünen Innenhof mit eigener (exzellenter und heißer) Dusche bekommen, inkl. Frühstück. Die Toilette war auf dem Gang und neu renoviert. Das Zimmer hatte seine Gebrauchsspuren, besonders die Dusche, aber es war alles sauber. Ansonsten kämpft man mit den üblichen Altbauproblemen: knarzende Fußböden, zu wenig Steckdosen. Das hat seinen Charme. Und den gibt es umsonst 😁. Das Frühstück ist übrigens super. Es gibt 4 Käse- und Wurstsorten, Apfel- und Orangensaft, Brötchen (!), Brot, Gurken, Tomaten ,Joghurt, Eier, Marmelade, Nutella und Müsli. Mehr bieten andere Hotels auch nicht.

It is a nice hotel, simple but very close to the center with subway.. it is a nice and old hotel, breakfast is good only missing some fruit.. basically breakfast consists of buffet with bread, cheese, marmalade, coffee, juice, yoghurt.. the room was clean and attended by young and old couple, nice and very helpful

The service is great, the cleanliness 8/10, but the building is too old

Freundlicher und verbindlicher Kontakt im Rahmen der Buchungsanfrage und Buchung. Leider ist die Rezeption nicht 24/7 besetzt, sondern nur bis 22.oo Uhr und auch keine "Notfallnummer" verfügbar. Da mein ICE Verspätung hatte und ich deshalb mit der Suche alternativer Anschlußverbindungen zum Hotel abgelenkt war, habe ich vergessen rechtzeitig anzurufen um ggf. den Code für die Schlüssel zugerufen zu bekommen, da ich diesen - entgegen meiner Ansage, keinen Zugriff mehr auf meine E-Mails vor Reiseantritt zu haben - am Reisetag um 8.27 Uhr zugemailt bekam, weshalb ich mir spontan eine andere Bleibe für die eine Nacht suchen mußte (was am Ende auch funktionierte). Im Nachgang erhielt ich umgehend auf meine Anforderung die Rechnung. Die Anbindung an die S-Bahn war prima. Die Fassade und die Eingangstür ist/ waren jetzt nicht die modernste, sondern eher historisch und mit einem Hinweis versehen, daß die Klingelanlage derzeit nicht funktionstüchtig sei.

At first, the lady (older) at the reception was not willing to speak English via phone - had to ask assistance from a friendly stranger to translate. Interestingly, she could speak good English when we arrived at the reception desk. Otherwise, the lady (younger) working in the kitchen was really friendly and helpful. Overall, clean rooms, good breakfast, quiet place, fair price, and it is close to Berlin-Charlottenburg train station.

Für den Preis in Ordnung, das Zimmer war einfach aber sauber. Wegen einer defekten Tür war es unmöglich ohne Überschwemmung zu duschen. Die Zimmerfrau hat uns deshalb immer wieder frische Handtücher gebracht. Die Treppe zu den Zimmern ist sehr eng und steil,.das Hotel ist also nichts für Personen die nicht gut zu Fuß sind. Die Lage direkt am S-Bahnhof in sehr praktisch

Sieht etwas heruntergekommen aus, ist aber alles ordentlich und sauber. Sehr schön sind die hohen Decken und die tolle Lage. Für den günstigen Preis ein super Hotel, dass ich weiterempfehlen würde, sofern es einfach nur als Übernachtungsplatz dienen soll.

I was surprised at how much I liked this place. It's a good deal, probably because the neighborhood is rather rundown, but the staff are very friendly, it was quite clean, the breakfast was pretty decent, and it's literally across the street from a train stop. If you're looking for a cheap home base in West Berlin, this will suit you well.

Very good location to everywhere. Tegel Airport is 15 minutes from the cornrt with regular city libe bus 109. A bit retro rooms with breakfast. Worth the price!

One blonde woman on reception was very kind,the black one not so kind but maybe it wasnt her day. Room was pretty cute,romantic.Breakfast was good. I think preise is overrated but maybe thats regular preise here.

It was a good experience. Rooms were bit small but comfortable. Good neighbourhood though with s bahn close by. Had some stores nearby too which do provide sim cards, small fans perfect for summer

Ok, it's a pretty worn place, but the room is big (we had a double room with toilet), the mattresses are great, the breakfast has a nice selection, and the personel is super friendly, at least, Galina, who made our day more than once with her nice personality.

Good acomodation, good breakfast, good staff, very clean.The shower in the room is amazing. It is just in front of the subway station and the bus from the Tegel airport stops about 200 m from City Pension. Everything was perfect. Recommend!!

Great accommodation in a cool area of Berlin. The staff is very gently, educated and helpful. I have been there two times already and i will surely come back soon when in Berlin. Strongly recommended!

Worst hotel I have ever dealt with! Total lack of professionalism on the part of hotel service. The information in the Booking announcement on the parking space for guests is not consistent with what the hotel offers. After hard and long talks, the hotel was unable to fulfill the services it provides and did not express any willingness or attempts to solve the problem. No information from the hotel about limited parking spaces for guests. Additionally, the hotel reception should be open until 10 p.m., unfortunately only in theory, because the reception was closed at 9:40 p.m. and there was no one in the hotel and the front door was closed. After 10 pm no contact with the hotel. What's more, a total lack of knowledge of the English language, even at the basic level. In a message from the hotel, I got instructions on what to do after arriving after 10 pm. The hotel could not even fulfill it and did not leave the hotel and room keys in the place designated by them. In the end, I was not able to take advantage of the pre-paid stay, total lack of respect and professionalism towards the client. I do not recommend anyone to use this place !!!
