Wir waren heute mit 4 Erwachsenen und einem Kind bei L‘Osteria in Berlin Mahlsdorf essen. Wir haben vorab einen Tisch zu 13.00 Uhr reserviert. Das Restaurant war normal besucht. Wir haben 4 Pizzen und ein Nudelgericht bestellt. Leider mussten wir 2 Stunden auf unsere Gerichte warten. Die Kinderpizza kam sogar nochmal 10 Minuten später. So eine lange Wartezeit ist inakzeptabel und unverhältnismäßig. Bei dieser langen Wartezeit hätten wir die Pizzen in den eigenen vier Wänden vermutlich schneller hingezaubert. Andere Gäste kamen nach uns und haben auch noch vorher ihr Essen bekommen. Das Essen war soweit in Ordnung, bis auf die eine Pizza, bei welcher der Teig nicht ganz durch war. Wir finden es sehr schade, dass sich die schlechten Bewertungen auf Grund der enormen Wartezeit häufen werden. Wir werden hier nicht nochmal essen gehen. Wir können nur die Empfehlen geben, die Wartezeit für die Gerichte zu reduzieren. 1/2 Stunde bis höchstens 1 Stunde als Wartezeit sind angemessen. Eine Wartezeit von 2 Stunden ist eine Frechheit. Hier gehen wir nicht mehr essen!!!

Update November 2023: Ordered Pizza for pick up, arrived on time, needed to wait additional 20 minutes until they figured out the Pizza is already done for 10 minutes. On top, I ordered a plain Pizza with cheese only but got chicken … Usually L‘Osteria is a safe bet. This isn‘t. If you are looking for long waiting times (even though restaurant is just half full) and lukewarm food this is your place to be. Honestly, there is too little (and untrained) service whenever I tried it. So waiters are overwhelmed with all requests. Unbelievable that nothing changed since years …

Italienisches Restaurant in tollem Gebäude. Personal war super nett und aufmerksam. Wir wurden umgehend plaziert und bekamen die Speisekarte. Nach kurzer Zeit wurde die Bestellung aufgenommen. Die Getränke kamen schnell. Die Pizzen dauerten dann aber wirklich zu lang. Geschmeckt haben sie super. Und sie waren wirklich riesig. Zahlung per Visa problemlos möglich. Insgesamt eine Empfehlung.

Food was good (except for the half of a pizza with the dead bug baked into the cheese)...when it arrived two hours after we ordered. The waitress was very rude and pretty much ignored us, so no refills on drinks or explanations or apologies about where our food was; we watched as she sat down and started chatting at a table and had a shot of limoncello with the people there. We didn't bother to mention the bug in the food to her, because it was clear she wouldn't care.

ordered a pizza and liked the taste but easting in a restaurant should be more than that. I found the waitors average/Ok, and the size of pizza huggge. so cool at the begging to see such massive one but after 10 min. you loose the enthusiasm.

Wir waren an einem Freitag spontan hier und wurden direkt platziert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Die Pizza hat uns nicht sehr zufrieden gestellt. Für den Preis habe ich woanders wirklich schon viel viel bessere Pizzen gegessen. Leider war unsere Pizza auch viel zu kross und dunkel. Der Belag ist eher spärlich und meine Salami hatte einen sehr komischen Geschmack und hinterließ einen Film im Mund. Der eigene Eistee hingegen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt.

Great food and excellent service at this place, though the understaffing, a common issue in European eateries, was noticeable. Still, we'll definitely return.

The best Italian Pizzeria i know. I always love to eat there

Had a Pasta dish. It was fairly small, and the pasta was undercooked. There are way better Italia restaurants around. Also, it's a chain, so the atmosphere is not too cozy. Service was average, but not outstanding.

Feels like typical american italian resturant, not sure if its intentional but the portions are huge. Price feels right and its cool you can share a pizza for the children. Service staff was very good but kitchen was struggling to keep up so we had to wait 50 minutes before food arrived, for such a small menu and easy to make food should not be. Four minus which could have been five minus if not for the long wait which many others pointed out too.

+ Schönes Ambiente vor allem Abends und im Außenbereich. - Innen sehr laut - Trotz Reservierung warten müssen an der Bar + dafür wenigstens Sekt aufs Haus + Pizzen sehr groß und sehr gut - Pasta eher mau, ölig und nicht besonders ansehnlich Personal ist bemüht, mehr aber auch nicht. Teilweise längere Wartezeit.

Essen in Mahlsdorf Die Restaurants von L‘osteria sind vom Ambiente immer sehr ansehnlich. Ein Tisch gab es auch ohne Reservierung, trotzdem es relativ voll war. Der Service war gut und bemüht. Das Essen war leider nicht gut und hatte viel zu lange Wartezeiten. Auf der Pizza war viel zu viel Salat und zu wenig Fleisch oder anderes Zubehör. Leider sind die Teller auch so klein, dass man die Pizza gar nicht auf dem Teller schneiden kann. Die Nudeln waren leider auch nicht lecker. Das Fleisch war kalt und hat demzufolge nicht geschmeckt. Am schlimmsten war die Wartezeit, bis man das Essen bekommen hat. Über 1 Stunde 10 Minuten. Preis 2 Personen 55 Euro 2 Hauptgerichte 3 Getränke

Wow the pizza tastes almost like it was imported within seconds from Italy! Staff was not more or less friendly like everywhere else . Unfortunately the prices are very high! It's very expensive so I can only give three out of five stars. It's also located at the B1 a pretty big and busy street so it's not the nicest atmosphere. Convincing was the food though.

Bei unseren letzten beiden Besuchen, war leider kaum Service-Personal da, was die Wartezeiten für die Bestellung unangenehm verlängert hat. Vermutlich ist es auf die anhaltende Krankheitswelle zurück zu führen. Wir sind da auch nicht nachtragend. Das Essen war wie immer sehr köstlich, die Pizzen riesig wie immer und vom Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis nicht zu toppen. Wir waren während und nach dem Besuch glücklich.

We love going to L'Osteria. Awesome food, awesome people. And whoever comes to visit us in Berlin, we go to L'Osteria to have lunch.

Very nice spacious place. I liked the winter garden area, where we sat. There is a small playground outside that kept my kid occupied. He also got crayons and paper. This was nice and very much needed because the service was nice but slow. The food was good. And there is plenty of bike parking space.

a restaurant in the middle of an industrial zone with all the charm you might associate with that. expect long waits for your table, and drinks, even if you have reserved. and not all items on the menu are available but you'll only be informed about this when you can order... not for the faint-hearted

Really nice and friendly waiters. Huge Pizzas (and I mean HUGE, be prepared for it) ;) Definitely a place to drop by again. Is more like 4.5. A half point off, is more like my personal opinion, pizzas could be a bit more exiting. There were great, but not extraordinary.

Not a bad German take on Italian food. But don't expect much authenticity. Prices are ok.

It's often packed, it has a good atmosphere but not cozy and usually loud. Good for families but not for groups. Food is OK, nothing authentic and special but not disappointing.

Great for casual dining, and usually I have nothing to complain about. However, the last time we went the waitress was probably nearing the end of her shift, almost tossed the menu at me and same for my salad. My wife’s risotto was missing salt, mushrooms were still a bit frozen and the cook didn’t put any pecorino in it, so I gave her some from my salad. When we paid I mentioned this to the waiter (our waitress was gone) and he apologised for everything. I think this is a one off, and still will go there, but prob not after 20hrs, my son loves the salami pizza

Cosy place, although a franchise. Can get pretty crowded and service is then easily losing control. Don‘t expect too high quality, though. Stick with pizzas and desserts, which are mostly decent. Prices are reasonable. Kids menu available but you may need to ask for it. Overall acceptable with no alternative nearby.

Food is very good, also ambience welcoming. Most of the stuff super nice but unfortunately not all. I kindly asked if we could have our pizza cut and reaction was like I would demand something totally wired and offended the server with this request. Very surprising as other servers were exceptionally kind.

Der Service war äußerst mangelhaft. Wir kamen gegen 19:30 Uhr an, bekamen jedoch erst nach angemessener Zeit einen Tisch zugewiesen. Leider dauerte es weitere 20 Minuten, bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, und wir mussten anschließend weitere 15 Minuten auf die Getränke warten. Erst nach insgesamt 40 Minuten wurde das Essen serviert. Zusätzlich erfolgte die zweite Getränkerunde, die vor dem Essen bestellt wurde, erst nach dem Essen.

Absolute VOLLKATASTROPHE! Ich bewerte für gewöhnlich nicht, leben und leben lassen. Aber heut ging’s zu weit,.. der Kunde ist König ist leider weit verfehlt. Im Gegenteil.. Mülltonne auf - Geld rein! Pizza Löcher wurden mit Salat gestopft, Calzone war roh, 2(!!!!) chicken stripes auf ner CHICKENPIZZA & Servicepersonal absolut unfreundlich!!! Ihr wollt Geburtstag feiern? Aber doch nicht mit 13 Personen, verteilt euch an den KLEINEN TISCHEN🫠😌unfassbar . man sitzt noch & trinkt seinen Wein, werden nebenan schon die Stühle hochgestellt… TOP 👍🏼😌 das lädt ein. Unter aller Sau… absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Wartezeit 2 Stunden !! Sorry aber was macht ihr, ihr bereitet „nur“ Pizzen zu! Absolut keine Weiterempfehlung!

Kalt pizza, warm salat. The journey to l’Osteria was an interesting but rather unpleasant one. Coming in for a take away and asking « how long would it take for a take away of one pizza margarita to go and a Caesar salad with chicken to go with forks » answer is 15min. Perfect let’s pay our order and wait. 25min later the pizza arrives alone. They forgot the salad. The pizza goes back, and it’s now a 20 more min waiting for the salad to come with the pizza. Asking to check if the pizza is cutted (which is standard when it’s a pizza to go), negative, also the forks are missing. Have to go back to the kitchen. Result of the journey: 40min waiting instead of 15min, pizza became cold after waiting so long and the Caesar salad for unknown reason was warm. Definitely not what I would except to have a pleasant evening enjoying Italian food. This was a try, but will never come back again.
