Really not all that bad.. Dumb way to start and went on a rainy day here with my daughter and left 5.5 hours later. We brought our food but the prices are very decent if you want to buy stuff here. The staff were friendly as well. There were lots of things to play with to keep my daughter of 3 yrs 3 months entertained. At first she had to scope out the place and once she felt safe she was running around like a maniac screaming and having fun. The kitchen area up stairs was probably her favorite, we were there alot of the time. Its a great place for a rainy afternoon! And there is no labyrinth if your wondering. Bring house shoes or thick socks, you have to take your shoes off inside.

Located at the intersection of fun and environmental consciousness, this venue provides a unique playground designed for children between the ages of 3-7. However, it also subtly targets parents with an undercurrent of moral urgency and responsibility to save the world. Small signs positioned at children’s eye level share messages crafted in adult language, highlighting the need to save everything from bees to seals and turtles. They depict how humans contribute to the problems faced by sharks in the seas and many other issues affecting our planet. While the place’s intentions are admirable, the delivery is somewhat misplaced. It tends to inspire guilt rather than motivation, missing the mark with its core audience - children. The messages come across as admonitions rather than engaging lessons about the environment, making it difficult for the little ones to grasp the intended point of the various play stations. Despite these shortcomings, the venue retains a certain charm. It’s a cozy place with fair service where children can have fun and remain thoroughly entertained, even if they don’t fully understand the messages conveyed. This paradox forms the heart of the venue.

Tolles Kindermuseum!

Great museum for kids. We could have spent the entire afternoon in there! Lots of things are translated to English which was super helpful!

I was very impressed with the museum. there are number of reasons; 1) my 3 year old had a great time!! She enjoyed every part of the museum. We spent almost 3 hours. 2) Cultural diversity and inclusion was a common theme in the exhibits at the museum. Every activity/game was thoughtfully designed to teach children that everybody is different and we should respect each others values and differences. I loved this idea!!!! Raising young people who are aware of each others differences yet who are able to live together by forming friendships, communities, and families. This is what our world needs. This museum was one of the best examples of how education can be combined with play to teach children about big ideas!! There is so much more to write about this museum.. But I will end my review by saying that if you have a chance to visit Berlin, even if you don't have children , you should visit this museum and observe every little detail about what it has to offer.

My girls 7 & 9 love coming here. The term museum may be pushing it a bit in the old fashion sense but it’s got plenty of learning and sensensory activities as well as different hands on and craft activities. Parents can explore the space with their children or older kids can play by themselves and parents can have a coffee. The museum has that charming creative Berliner bohemian feel to it. You have to take your shoes off on entry so make sure you don’t wear the holy ones or bring ABS socks in winter. Entry prices are expensive but there is no time limit- I had to drag my kids out as they wanted to stay longer but after six hours my butt got a bit numb and there is only so much coffee one can drink. The staff is great.

We visited the museum on a Saturday with our two-year-old son. We all enjoyed it very much. It was such that our son did not want to leave the place when our session ended. We are definitely coming back. I was hesitant that the museum is designed for older kids but there is enough material to touch and explore for little kids as well. Of course older kids can take more with them as they leave it but we are fully satisfied with our visit. The exhibition is displayed on two floors and before going to the second floor we took a break on the Pausen treppen. There is a lovely little cafe as well. You can get yourself something to drink and eat☕🍴Overall, strongly recommended😊

A wonderful place for children to play, touch, explore and learn in a fun way. My children of 2, 7 and 10 years old loved it. It's absolutely worth the visit even if you come from the other side of town. I guess it depends what you are used to, in France sadly there is nothing that cool for children, so we were amazed. Also we met a friendly lady who works there and speaks 6 languages including French. I recommend +++. It's so cosy, my two year old didn't want to leave and wanted to sleep there.

A great children museum with various activities for children. They also have from time to time floh markt and puppen theater for kids. The indoor playground part has lot's of ideas for children play. The kids can stay busy for sometime. Followed by a cafe and proper children toilets

Well worth the trip out of the city to this little gem. My boys 2 and 6 loved this place, with a real mix of play and learning activities to keep them amused. We spent nearly 3 hours and only left as we were hungry. There is a small cafe onsite with a limited range, so maybe bring your own snacks. The oldest loved the lit up world and the big world board game. The youngest making dens and just running free.

Ganz toll gemacht. Ganz nette Mitarbeiter.

A museum that makes nice, bold statements with their exhibits (e.g., saving the environment). I found it a little pricey compared to bigger museums that have more to offer. There's also a specific age group of kids that would be able to enjoy this museum. Around 5 or 6 when they can understand more and can go explore the area by themselves.

"Museum' is quite a bold statement, it's more like a big playground with some simple information stands and games speculating on the climate topic (maybe it is just a temporary exhibition, not sure). I think it is utterly overpriced since I've paid 13 EUR for both me and my son and there's not much to do for this money, however my son had fun there. I'd not like to come back, still.

So much fun for our 5-year-old. There are games, crafts to do, building, dress-ups, obstacle courses — it’s a must-visit if you have kids. Extremely helpful team, too.

Recommended for kids 4+. The theme is saving natural environment and educate kids all about nature using toys and many hands-on activities. We had a great 3 hours visit. Plenty of stations to build, explore, learn, paint, etc. there is a outdoor area with tricycle and other toys. My kid enjoyed a lot and had a hard time leaving this place. Staff very kind and friendly. I am glad i found this for my kid.

Costed 28 Euros( 3 adults and 1 child ) for 1.5 hours of minimal activity. There were 5 - 6 games outside. The guides didn't care to explain or indulge in the activities. They kind of seems upset with something. Really sad faces. The games were fine ( Coloring, sorting weights, Questionare, Magnets, Hidden Toys and books ). Total disappointment !! One of the games were to teach the importance of insects and how to save our ecosystem, and in the end when we were leaving, they were offering dried dead insects to people as snacks ( telling its a good source of protein )

Great place to spend the day (or just the afternoon). Lots of activities. There's a giant costume wardrobe for kids to dress up, that's amazing. The cafeteria has a nice variety, also Vegan options (but it's quite pricey).

Ok place up until about 6 years of age. Lots of toys and activities for small kids. Kind of crowded upstairs. Some toys broken or missing. You have to take your shoes off so either rent home slippers or bring your own.

It is ok for 90 minutes of piece for a parent. May be 4 star if your kid is 5 to 8. Good for large families. Little expensive if you are going with one kid.

Super small poorly done indoor playground. If kids are 2-3 years old, they might find some fluffy toys to olay with. Otherwise it's a waste of money.

It’s only cash and a little bit expensive considering 1 adult and 1 kid for 14 euros. The place has several “rooms” in 2 levels but some of them are not too interactive so my kid so went through them without paying too much attention. I think it’s a place to visit once and forget about it.

We loved it! Our kids of 2 an 3,5 had a great time. For them it was "just" playing but if they were older the museum had great educational value. Loved how they combined education with playing.

Nice Place to take the kids when its too cold to be outside. Plenty of stuff for small kids to do. And for parents to sit. Could be a bit bigger...

Great place with so much nicely presented information for children and adults too. I do think it's more worth a visit with kids over 5 years of age. younger ones could learn but they will run around and play and get out with one info or two max.

Your kids will have a lot of fun here. Unfortunate the prices are quite high and the bar doesn't accept credit cards.

A few really good hours for the kids. We spent a morning at the museum with a one and three years old kid. The museum is well put together with creative, educational and play spaces. The parents can follow the kids, educate themselves in the exhibits or have coffee and snacks in the central café. Staff was friendly and speaks both German and English. The entrance fee was 7 euros per adult and can only be payed with cash.

For 7 Euro per person I think it is really a good value for money. Kids really know how to enjoy time there.

Great for both younger and older kids, there’s fun stuff to explore for everyone and a wonderful sustainability message to be taught to kids.

I wasn’t very impressed by it, it is very overpriced. Maybe because my kids are young (under 5 years) and there is plenty of stuff to read about the environment and not much to do for smaller kids.

Well thought out, hands on, play and exploration for kids up to 10 or 11 years old. My 5yo and 10yo played for hours and did not want to leave. Little coffee shop inside serving coffee and bakery items made it a wonderful experience for theirs mom, too.
