Personally, it's a bit of a mystery to me where the good reviews come from. Sure, it's clean and the staff is friendly. This can also be the case in 2 star hotels. The breakfast buffet is very cheap at €16, but in my opinion it is not a 5 star standard. There is a bit of a smell in the hallways, which may be due to the old carpets. A general overhaul of a 5 star hotel for 120 to 160 € per night also seems appropriate to me. Everything is no longer as beautiful as it once was. The gym is a joke and only has six cardio machines, as well as a barely usable tower and a few dumbbells. Also not a 5 star level. The sauna area is nice. You received a friendly welcome at the breakfast buffet, and it's really worth the money without being outstanding. You like the fact that you can also have drinks such as latte macchiato, cappuccino, coffee cream or dishes such as pancakes, fried eggs and so on freshly prepared to order and at no additional cost.

This hotel is simply fully recommended. The rooms are very modern and contemporary. The breakfast services correspond to those of a 5* hotel. The friendliness of the staff should also be mentioned. Very, very good hotel.

Location top. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. For a top hotel but unfortunately it's just getting old. Not structurally but in terms of use and convenience. Arrangement of lamps, sockets, hooks and lights not helpful and contemporary. Haven't visited the sauna area yet but you don't seem to be particularly proud... nobody talks about it. You don't read anything anywhere. Rooms with a view of the street from above are somewhat impractically narrow and angled in cross-section.

Warm and friendly welcome by the hotel staff. Big, clean and quiet rooms situated to the central atrium. Delicious breakfast at a nicely decorated buffet. Perfect central location directly at the Kudamm, close to Gedächtniskirche and only a 5 min walk zu subway station Zoologischer Garten. Personnally, I will gladly come back.

The hotel is decent, clean and centrally located. The rooms are a bit depressing, especially when you face the inside of the building. The breakfast for 16 Euros is good. The AC doesn't work all that well. I didn't manage to cool down the room. I would not want to stay there in the middle of the summer. The internet is really slow. I paid extra for "fast" internet (8 Euros per day) and the speed barely reached 3 MBit down. This is just not acceptable. If your internet sucks, don't charge for it.

Organized a multi-day customer meeting in the hotel. I can't say anything about the rooms. The meeting rooms and the service are expensive. The rooms were bright and offered a good view. Unfortunately, that's all positive. The service was slow, everything had to be asked and requested several times. Agreements made in advance were sometimes not adhered to, contacts changed several times and did not pass on information to each other. The drinks were only insufficiently refilled. The meeting package did not include a projector or flip chart. Buffet was ok, but expensive. Never again in this hotel!

We felt good! The location of the hotel is great. Directly on the Kudamm and the subway station is also directly at the hotel. You don't hear any of the noises. An elevator takes you to the lobby. We were greeted warmly and the room was ready despite our early arrival. Although the furniture is no longer up to date, the rooms are clean and comfortable. That's what matters, especially since you're out and about more on a city trip than in a hotel room. You could sleep really well. The service in the hotel is top. If there were any problems, we were helped straight away and we were also given tips for our stay. As a tip: the hotel has its own bicycles! They were great and in great shape, unlike other rental bikes we saw. The breakfast is also great. For us it was included in the price, so I can't say whether it's value for money. Definitely recommended!

The check in went fast, but the resepsjonist told me that my card was declined and I had to pay the deposit again. After checking my bank the deposit was reserved after the first try. I litterly had to show him the bank statement from my Bank App. Nice spacious room. But the linen were very hard and so was the bed. Very small pillow. The phone signal in my room was awful. Next morning we got breakfast. We were seated by the nice host at a dirty table. Se pictures below. I also ordered pancakes with my breakfast. When I went to look for sirup one of the waiter asked why I wanted sirup. I had to explain to him that I had ordered pancakes and sirup goes with that. I can't for the life of me understand why this hotel has a 5 star rating. In My experience I would give this hotel a maximum 3 star

Stylish, spacious and comfortable hotel. Modern classic, elegant. An oasis of quiet in a busy city. Convenient location. Good breakfast buffet. I found the bed fairly hard (some people may like that, others may not) and I didn't care much for the pillows, but the bed linens were of very good quality. In their smallish bar I had a cocktail, the taste of which I found disappointing. On the whole the hotel provided very good value for the price.

Extremely comfortable and spacious room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced and the bathroom was large and well equipped. The staff were all, without exception kind, helpful and professional. But, for me the best thing was the silence! Without doubt the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in! Literally did not hear a sound. Heartily recommend and will stay there again without doubt...

After a little mix up where we were put in a room that hasn’t been cleaned yet - we got a nice business style furnished room with a view. Personal highlight was the breakfast with fresh tea in a pot and a great selection of food. Highly recommended.

As always, very efficient and practical. This hotel has kept it's excellent standard for so many years, when others' ebb and flow. Definitely recommended if you want to stay in this part of Berlin. Breakfast is delicious in a serene & spacious setting

I have not had a better welcome from a hotel. The amazing Carsten guided us through the hotel and the local area like we where part of his family. To spare over 30 minutes showing us the local attractions on a map. Then it all turned bad when they didn't give me a wheelchair accessible room and I couldn't have a shower. They offered a free breakfast but then charged us €60 for it??????? Then another €30 Euro!!! I rang them to ask why but still on my credit card. They still it was "Generated by the Computer"? Don't know why they offered a free breakfast for the room not being suitable and then charged €90?????? Don't go there!

I stayed at the Swissôtel for one night due to familial reasons. I found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers many options; it was even hard to find things sometimes, it was so big. Of course, I didn't spend enough time to properly evaluate the hotel, but my short time there was extremely good for what I paid (90 euros)

The reception was very cold and uninformative, only when we asked did we get the standard information "where to go to the room, where can we find the sauna, where is breakfast" - for me it wasn't even three Worth stars :( Unfortunately we had no luck with the room allocation, but we had a view of the inner courtyard (advantage, no traffic) but right next to the elevator, which you can sometimes clearly hear. The size is sufficient and there are many features such as an iron, hairdryer with diffuser, flashlight and a Samsung tablet with all the important information, but the bathroom is a bit too small. The room was advertised as having a Nespresso machine, which was also there but the capsules were a cheap product from Aldi. Well and now the sticking point is the bed, 1.60x2.00m (5 star standard???), rock hard mattress (yes I know, many people like to sleep on a hard mattress... but not us!) and instead of a slatted frame there was a rigid chipboard. In the afternoon we went to the reception with the request for a foam pad, you would think that a 5 star hotel would be able to offer a quick, satisfactory solution to this, I thought wrongly, we only got a super thin blanket that didn't help at all... :((( that 4 star hotels have done better. Very friendly service staff at breakfast. The offer was plentiful and you could also have special requests fulfilled, but the quality was on the lower level. The check-out was again not very welcoming but we didn't expect it to be any different. The advantage of this hotel is the super central location, Ku'damm just around the corner and everything can be reached in a very short time. Conclusion, nice hotel if you visit it without 5 star expectations.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were modern and stylishly furnished, although a bit small. What I would like to particularly highlight is the excellent breakfast, which was not only extremely rich, varied and of high quality, but could also be personalized to suit individual additional requests. The staff made the difference here with their politeness, professionalism, friendliness and discretion and restraint.
