I had booked a normal single room. I got a kind of small apartment. Well-equipped kitchen, living room with a neat sofa corner, dining table and a separate bedroom. The whole thing was covered with carpet. Unfortunately, the carpet was full of stains and looked dirty. All the furniture is no longer that new and looks relatively worn out, especially in the bathroom. But everything is okay. Unfortunately, the windows are apparently not insulated at all. It was extremely loud at night. The tram runs right in front of the door and is not particularly quiet. My overnight stays weren't particularly relaxing. The fitness room is well equipped and sufficiently clean. Also open 24 hours.

We had the 2 person apartment on the second floor. The layout, the balcony, the kitchenette, the bathroom and above all the sleeping comfort of the beds were really great! The staff at the reception were nice, courteous and helpful!!! The cleanliness of the room alone left something to be desired ("round corners", dust webs on the ceiling, dirty curtains with holes in them, dirty ashtray on the balcony). But very quiet rooms in a central location! All in all at a fair price and highly recommended!!!! It's just a shame that the cleaning staff doesn't seem to be interested at all.....!

HSH (Home Sweet Home) really did become our home away from home during our stay in Berlin for the marathon. We stayed for 4 nights and the location and amenities were great for us. The location was convenient, about a 20 minute walk or 10-15 minute subway ride for most locations downtown. The closest stop for the U bahn is around the corner and the S train is less than 5 minutes away. Nearby are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and even late night take out spots. Like most of Berlin, the neighborhood is a bit dark at night, though seemed quite safe. The rooms are large with plenty of space to stretch out. Our room had a bed for 2 and a fold out sofa so we comfortably fit 4 adults inside for our stay. The balcony was a nice touch and allowed us to enjoy the nice weather. The wifi, as noted, is a bit restrictive and not that fast, limited to two devices at once which was a bit limiting for 4 people. There is no AC, but the balcony and windows open for getting some air. In total, it was a great place to spend our time in Berlin.

Quiet and cleanliness

Thoroughly friendly and helpful staff. Very VERY roomy and nice appartments with fully equipped kitchenette, balcony or conservatoty and a nice bathroom. Breakfast area felt a little cramped though. Too many too small tables for the room. Also the tram/street car was quite noticeable in my room at night. That depends on which way your room is facing though.

For the second time, i stayed in this hotel. With again a great experience. The staff was nicely, and friendly. We encountered the gentleman of the reception who recognized us. Only things was, the Nespresso machine, needs to be cleaned, and the spoons for the coffee wasn't clean. And the shower made a water affairy from the bathroom. Everything was wet. After showering. For my next stay in Berlin i'll be sure i be choose HSH hotels again.

Stayed as family of four in the family apartments. They are clean and spacious. The hotel is close to the city centre and central railway station. Everything you need including fully equipped kitchen. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended

Can not complain about the approach since entire Berlin roads are dug up . These apartments are very good. We were not expecting so much. It was like staying in your own home. Wish we had more time to enjoy the stay . Had a huge balcony ,perfect sit out area. had a fully loaded kitchen . A supermarket is very close to the hotel. Even the bedroom had a small standing balcony which I left the door open at night for more air. Rooms are huge. Reception staff is all there to assist and help. If you have a car they have parking right next to the reception entrance so you drive towards the hotel entry. I opted to park my car in a lane next to the hotel to save some money.From 9pm to 7 pm it's free parking anyway.Loved the place. Value for money. Of course they also have a common laundry and provide the detergent powder for 50 cents one cycle. Very clean apartments with housekeeping standard 5 star rating.

Wide and comfortable room, extremely well arranged up to the details, with a balcony; Daily Cleaning. The kitchen area is well fitted; The staff is always pleasant, discreet and very efficient. The building is in a quiet area but well located - easy to visit by foot a lot of quarters - and very well served by trams, metro and bus. Price very reasonable

Very bad customer service. We were already at 12:30 for check-in on site. However, the room was still not ready by 2:30 p.m. When we asked, we were offered a coffee. However, we politely declined this as it was just being stalled. The tone of the employees here plays a rather shrill music. The tone was often used incorrectly. I just think I left over €400 with parking there to receive zero to no service. I would be happy to receive feedback to clarify this matter. A partial refund would probably be the least. A very cozy atmosphere. We received a very friendly welcome at reception, which was very pleasant after a strenuous journey. You immediately felt comfortable. The breakfast offered everything your heart could desire, and here too we received a very friendly welcome. The employee was very attentive. All in all, we would check into the HSH again at any time. :) Thanks to the entire team.

Overall we have good experience from the hotel. The staff was courteous, the room was clean and cozy, and the location was excellent near many transportation types. The disadvantage for us was that there was no fridge or kettle in the apartment.

The location of the hotel was excellent with U Bahn, S Bahn and trams nearby. The room was clean and tidy and the kitchen facilities meant we could do our own breakfast or any meal if we wanted. The hotel was good value. My friends stayed in a room at the front of the hotel and they said the noise from the trams which run 24 hours was disturbing despite the double glazing. My room at the back was fine. The only real issue I had was the safe in the room was not working and there was a problem with the shower and despite reporting these problems several times to reception they were not resolved during my seven night stay.

I rented an apartment here in June for a reasonable price and was told by the hotel manager the offer was extendable up to 6 months. The rent was increased by over 150% at very short notice. So I booked 2 nights extra for 80€/night. I explicitly asked for room service. The service was literally non-existent. The room was left dirty, no fresh towels, bed undone, no cleaning. They did however empty 1 of 2 bins and most notably - while leaving the room messed up - found time to do some toilet paper origami. No apologies, no refund, the hotel manager was unavailable. Very unprofessional and unsatisfactory!

Good location, big room with many facilities, comfortable beds. Though very noisy and the room did not get cleaned properly. I think recently i31 hotels bought this franchise (it is the hotel next door, we had to do the check-in there as well), and maybe due to that there are still some logistic problems. When I compained about it, they told me they had some issues with the cleaning company in the HSH hotels but were working on it.

The room itself was very nice and comfortable. Reasonable prices and excellent location. However, I booked for 3 nights, and it was cleaned only on the 1st night. The garbage wasn't taken out either. I didn't find this acceptable service. The phone in the room wasn't working, I complained on the 1st day, and was promised it would be sorted the next day. Nothing happened, and I was too tired to go down and complain again.
