Dr Kirchner doesn't believe in hernias that don't show up on ultrasounds or need more advanced imaging, and told me hernias are a man's problem. He literally printed out a piece of paper telling me I didn't have a hernia along with a picture of the ultrasound and then asked me if I'd seen a gynecologist as if I don't know the difference in pains in my body. Unfortunately the rest of Berlin doctors are also thirty years behind on medical knowledge for women as I'd seen 10 doctors. I was treated in another country for an incarcerated inguinal hernia and had surgery and now finally pain free. What a shame - occult (tiny) hernias are real and mostly affect women but maybe there's no incentive to keep your medical knowledge up to date here.

I would like to share my experience at MIC where I recently had a laparoscopic surgery for cyst removal. My surgery was on 26.01.2021 and I got the date of surgery on 04.01.2021 where one could imagine that waiting for 3 weeks was not easy. It was my first time having an operation and I was really nervous. Although I have decent understanding of German, I wanted/preferred clinic staff to talk to me in English where they really tried and I was super impressed by it. At the end, since they knew I was understanding German 90% of the time, they were talking German to me and that was totally fine. I was feeling sick in the morning of registration (throwing up feeling) and I had to have a covid test which really stressed me out but then they only had the test through nose which made me relieved. Then I was taken to my room which was a single room which also uplifted my mood. I was at hospital at 8.30 a.m. and I was asked to get ready for surgery after 12.30 p.m. All I can say is from the moment that I was taken from the room on the bed until the anestesia (around 13.25 p.m.) felt like surreal (prepare to be emotional). Then I opened my eyes in the wake up room (next to surgery room) and I was really tired. Slept for couple of hours more after waking up (15.00 p.m.) and was taken to my room 30-45 minutes later. Tthe first time I got up from the bed was around 18.00 p.m. Make sure to tell your family or loved ones that it might take sometime for you to reach out to them. First day was not easy. Going to toilet, standing up, walking, drinking and eating - all is hard. I had 4 key holes (1 addiitonal due to 2 cysts - one left and one right). Next day gets a bit better but then you have so much air inside you that starts to make you feel really uncomfortable. 3rd and 4th day was way better so with a bit of patience, things gets getter. Nurses were amazing, I have huge respect for them and I would like to thank all of the nurses and staff that is working at MIC. Thank you for your kindness, your efforts trying to explain things in english when I did not understand, for making empathy and for your patience. For the ones who will have a surgery for the first time, I hope I was able to shed some light for you concerns or questions. It is not an easy thing to go through but just be positive and I ensure you that MIC staff will take good care of you. Burcu

This Clinic is of very high quality and standards, from the services, the furniture of the rooms and even the food served. The surgery went very well, the nurses are really kind, attentive and sympathetic (a big pro given the Berlin standards), they never make you feel unheard or out of place and are always there to help you, check in with you and smile at you. Doctor Schönleber was great, he made me feel at ease and in safe hands from day 1. I would only recommend this place.

A week ago I had a two-day inpatient stay due to a laparoscopy (endometriosis rehabilitation) and would like to thank the entire team at the MIC Clinic! I had an incredible amount of trust in my treating doctor and felt completely comfortable, both before and after the operation and during the care. The sisters were really nice and made this stay very special for me with their care. In this clinic you can really heal in safety. I would come back at any time to be treated. For people with this diagnosis alone, this clinic is a place where you are taken seriously and have the feeling that you can get well again. THANKS!

Where to start? I was supposed to undergo surgery with another doctor there who was quite weird and had a cold. When I asked if he was ok - he was like „super fine“ but then called in sick. So that is the reason I deduct one star - as I came from abroad to have this done and I would have expected the doctor to be mature enough to anticipate that he is unable to operate. Anyway - it was also luck as Dr. med. Levon Khachaturyan took over and I must say a he and his team did a good job. He took the time to meet me before the surgery, explained everything and squeezed me into his busy schedule. Overall - most of the staff is quite professional & friendly (reception, Covid test station, station) - you always have one or the other encounter where you are left wondering if they really should do the job they are in. At the station - every single nurse was great - they even motivated me to get up an walk. One thing that could have been a little better is the “privacy” part. I know it’s a hospital - but I had a single room - and most of the time people just walked in. I think it could be better if privacy was respected a little more. Other than that - I was happy with the service during the procedure. Post procedure - was also okay, not quite how I would have done it - I think there are less painful ways to remove the stitches.

I was admitted to the MIS on December 16, 2023 because of an abdominal hernia. I had a very good feeling about this clinic during the consultation. This feeling was confirmed again immediately after the recording. A very modern, beautiful and above all warmly furnished house with beautiful rooms. I was on ward 2 where, with one exception, there is only 1 bed room. That in itself was a huge relief for me. But the best and probably biggest figurehead are the sisters, who are always friendly, attentive and always up for a joke or a snack. I can only express my greatest gratitude for the loving and relaxed treatment of me as a patient and as a person. Whether it was upon admission, or the anesthesia nurse in the operating room, the nice ladies in the recovery room or back on the ward. They all form a great team and that is exactly what a patient wants and needs. Many thanks also to the anesthetist and my surgeon, who impressed me during the consultation. All in all, I found the climate and the stay in this house to be very relaxed and pleasant. This is how it should and must be. Really 5 stars plus! I have never seen such a beautiful hospital, you feel more like you are in a hotel, 1 bed room, buffet for breakfast and dinner. Very, very clean, all the staff, whether nursing, doctors, cleaning, service, were very, very nice! I definitely have fond memories of my first endometriosis treatment! If I have problems again, I will come back to the MIC clinic despite the longer journey!

What a clinic, such a standard and the friendliness of the staff I have never seen in any clinic in Berlin. At first you have the feeling that you are in a private clinic, but this is deceptive because normal statutory health insurance patients are treated here. The clinic is located on the same site as the Protestant Hubertus Clinic. The nursing staff and doctors are very accommodating. The patient rooms have great facilities as single rooms with a built-in television and their own toilet/bidet and shower. The surgical scars are, as the name of the clinic suggests, minimally invasive. After two days, the clinic was able to discharge him again. This clinic is fully recommended.

I was there for a laparoscopy and stayed for 2 nights. The klinik feels like a hotel. The nurses are very sweet and caring and the food was very good. Even having a terrible german, communication was not a problem with them, some of them speak english and the ones that don't they are so nice that communication happens one way or another. Also doctor Tchartchian is a great professional and my surgery was smooth with no issues. I would totally recommend this place!

Very friendly personal and doctor. The clinic looks very nice. They pay attention, it’s important. In the dressing room there were tampons and another hygienic stuff. Hopefully, the surgery would also go well.

The Klinik is really good, but I would like to point out how amazing all the staff is. Nurses are incredibly caring, professional and kind. I had a surgery with my Doctor that I have been going to for years, so I felt very comfortable with him. I was impressed by the people in the Klinik starting from reception to every employee really. Surgery - Endometriosis, I am very satisfied with the clinic, even before the procedure Dr. med. Levon Khachaturyan well informed and studied everything. The stay and the operation were problem-free, helpful & competent nurses (Sister Sandra & Sister Jasmin), clean rooms, clinic with a feel-good atmosphere. Even after the operation, questions I asked were answered.

Its a small place in heaven when it comes to the world of hospitals! I felt very well looked after from the first appointment until I was discharged. Every staff member I met was very friendly and Dr Schönleber especially was professional, kind and made me feel at ease. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food quite nice. I am happy I chose this hospital and would recommend it to anyone.

If you are in Berlin, you k ow the pain of getting appointment. For me, I was looking for hospital since March, and I was not aware of this hospital. However, I came to know about MIC in 2nd week of May , emailed them for the appointment, got the appointment in 1 week . And operation done in next week. I am mentioning this, because from 3 months I was sending emails to many hospital and some didn't response, some response with extra things of documents . The doctor note was not enough for them. So, A very big thank you for providing the appointment. I was overwhelmed by the service. Infrastructure wise it's bright and colourful from inside which calms you down (and it's rare in Berlin to see pink yellow blue color on the walls). Treatment wise- I could not have been in better hands than Dr. L. Khachaturyan. Before the operation , he talked to us to explain the procedure very nicely.

Had an umbilical hernia. Preliminary discussion with Dr Richter. I got an operation appointment at short notice. I was operated on by Dr Richter 2 days later. Everything was explained to me very well before the procedure. I felt very well looked after. The nursing staff friendly and helpful. Felt. well looked after, great clinic.

I had surgery here two weeks ago and can only report positive things about my two-day stay. The single room I booked in advance was quiet and well equipped. The staff were very friendly throughout and the clinic as a whole was very attractively designed. Everyone in the operating room was also very attentive and I was well looked after in the recovery room. I would happily recommend the clinic.

My wife had her endometriosis surgery here recently and I couldn't be more thankful to Dr. Khachaturyan and all the nurses for their care and guidance. This hospital sets an example for other hospitals in Berlin for how to treat patients from appointments to recovery. Please keep the same standards in the future as well. Highly recommended.

Diagnose Nabelbruch und Leistenbruch- wohin? Auf Empfehlung bat ich um einen Termin bei der Klinik MIC. Den Untersuchungstermin bekam ich innerhalb von vier Tagen. Schon bei diesem Termin beeindruckte mich die angenehme Umgebungen dieser Klinik. Frau Dr. Richter erklärte mir sehr ausführlich die Brüche und ihr Vorgehen bei der bevorstehenden OP. Am Tag der OP lief alles sehr professionell ab. Die Schwestern der Station, bei der OP Vorbereitung und im Aufwachraum kümmerten sich immer um mich, damit fühlte ich mich immer wohl und auch etwas entspannt. Der Eingriff verlief sehr erfolgreich, herzlichen Dank noch einmal an Frau Dr. Richter und ihrem Team. Die Betreuung auf der Station nach der OP war hervorragend, freundliche und hilfsbereite Schwestern, super Verpflegung, tolles Zimmer. Ich kann diese Klinik mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen.

Yesterday I had a surgery and still I'm in the hospital. It is really an awesome experience. Professional team, polite nurses and wonderful Dr Levon khachaturyan. From yesterday I could walk. The foods also are good. The hospital is so clean and nurses tried to speak English when realised my Deutsch is not so good. Just Dr tends to speak German.All in all, I am happy to choice this hospital

Liebes Team der MIC Klinik, eigentlich müsste es sechs Sternchen geben, denn was ich in Ihrer Klinik erleben durfte, hat mich wirklich sehr beeindruckt. Vom Telefonat zur Terminvereinbarung für das Vorgespräch bis hin zur Entlassung....selten habe ich so gut strukturierte Abläufe erlebt. Dazu noch wirklich sehr engagierte Mitarbeiter, ärztlich wie auch nicht-ärztlich, die jederzeit greifbar und einfach super nett sind. In dieser Klinik läuft offensichtlich alles richtig. Die Räumlichkeiten wirklich toll, nur 2- und 1-Bett-Zimmer. Frühstück und Abendessen vom leckeren Buffet, auf dem eigentlich jeder etwas für sich finden kann. Dazu liebevoll eingedeckte Tische, als wäre man im Hotel. Am OP-Tag um 08:30 am Empfang gemeldet, 08:35 ins Zimmer gelaufen, um 11:10 entspannt in die Narkose entschlafen. Besser geht es wirklich nicht. Entlassung am Folgetag zu 09:30 geplant und 09:20 lagen alle Papiere inklusive der AU für mich parat. Warum schaffen das andere Häuser nicht? Ich danke Frau Dr. Richter für den grinsenden Bauchnabel (war das Absicht ? :-) und werde jederzeit sehr gerne wieder in die MIC Klinik kommen, sollten sich neue Baustellen auftun. Großartige Narben die mich an diese tollen 25 Stunden erinnern, hab ich leider nicht, Frau Dr. Richter näht einfach zu gut :-)
