The view of the lake from the swimming area is beautiful. The view into the water is less so. The entire bathing area is filled with leaves and branches on the ground. But that's just nature. This bathing area cannot be reached by public transport and is therefore more frequented by local residents. The place is ideal for quick cooling down.

This is where Berliners come on a hot summer Sunday. It's a wonderful experience which tourists don't really know about (yet). The cool, refreshing water is safe bathing for children and adults alike, shallow for a long way out across this narrow lake. And the setting is truly lovely. Don't expect easy parking. There are no "facilities" (thank the Lord). It's a little piece of heaven.

This lake is well connected by U-bahn U-3. In 1923, Berliner folk singer Fredy Sieg wrote "Das lied von der krumme Lanke". A path running along the edge of the lake is popular with joggers & walkers. Must visit this lake.

Its close by, it’s normally packed (in good weather) but it’s still a good lake with good views in the evening.

The best lake that I visited in Berlin (until now). The vegetation around is gorgeous. Clean water. Not so big, neither so small. At the right size. Many beaches around it, with good trails connecting each other. It is easily accessible via U-Bahn and there is a supermarket nearby to buy things for a picnic. Really cool vibe, with people from all ages and backgrounds enjoying together. Great program for a hot summer day.

Cosy place, go a bit from the beach, get through a hole in the fence and sit by the lake to get some privacy at this amazing location. Clean water, not very crowded, stunning nature. This is something I will remember from my trip to Berlin.

Brave people, dogs and wild boars go into the water here all year round. It is a very idyllic place that invites you to relax, walk or jog. I find swimming in the lake rather unpleasant because there are a lot of scratchy bushes under the water that scratch your skin. Signs also warn about microbes in the water that can affect weakened people. So it's not my favorite swimming lake in Berlin... Not far is the Schlachtensee, which offers better swimming conditions!

My grandmother used to go here and now I did too. It is a great lake, the water feels great and is pretty cool. It might get pretty crowded on hot days, because there is no entrance fee, but there are so many smaller spots where you can rest and enter the lake that it spreads around the whole lake. Only downside is that there are not many public toilets around here.

On the edge of the Grunewald forest, this is one of the best bathing spots in the city. It is clean and you van enjoy multiple access points to the water. The North side is better to find small and more passivated spots. Very very nice.

Yeah it's ok, but it's pretty busy and they started enforcing the Naturschutzgebiet which means you can't sit round much of the edge of the lake. In the authorised areas it's pretty packed and you sit on sand/soil. It's a nice walk round the lake though.

Great place to get some fresh air and feel some nature! Pretty packed on hot Sundays but you can still find a quite spot.

It is too crowded with teenagers with Bluetooth speakers. If you are one of them, this place is for you.
