Wir sind Touristiker und hatten nach der ITB (Internationale Tourismusmesse Berlin) einen Nachmittag Zeit. Aus Erfahrung in andern internationalen Städten suchten wir einen guten Guide für eine persönliche Stadtführung für 3 Stunden inkl Minivan. Wir stießen im Internet als erstes auf Herrn Zawuski. Innerhalb von 30 Min hatte dieser abgeklärt, ob ein Minivan mit Fahrer zur Verfügung steht. 3 Stunden später wurden wir am Hotel abgeholt. Es war trotz "durchwachsenem" Wetter eine beeindruckende Führung zur bewegten Geschichte der Stadt. Gänsehaut bekamen wir an der Stelle im sog. Bendlerblock an der Graf Stauffenberg und seine Verbündeten erschossen wurden. Aber auch an der Holocaustgedenkstätte, sowie an der Humboldt-Universität, wo die Bücherverbrennung stattfand. Hängengeblieben sind mir mehrere Anekdoten. U.a. die Max Liebermann zugesprochene Aussage: ich kann garnicht soviel fressen wie ich kotzen könnte (beim Anblick eines vorbeiziehenden Fackelzuges der Nazis). Nett auch die Kaffeepause an Checkpoint Charlie und das Ende der Tour am "Tränenpalast" an der Friedrichsstraße. Danke Harald Zawuski - uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung !!
