Not worth the trouble, just buy train tickets from other places or directly with train companies

    Made the mistake of using this app instead of booking with a rail provider. I mistakenly booked for a different day instead of the travel I had to take within ten minutes. At the rail office they said they would have no issues issuing me a refund - and they do in all cases where a ticket has been bought by mistake - but they couldn’t - because I had booked with OMIO. They asked me to get in contact with OMIO directly. Now OMIO is refusing to acknowledge that they offer worse terms than going with the rail providers directly. And they charge you a fee for using the platform. so I have no idea what that fee is for. Always go direct with the rail provider - you will be covered by much better conditions. As it is clear OMIO has not done the due diligence required to deliver a proper solution. Seriously - no incentive to use this app. Don’t do it - go through the effort of downloading the app and Just booking direct with a rail provider.

    Omio failed to inform me about a cancelled train - costing me an extra 98 euro! Customer Service hides behind Deutsche Bahn, while they clearly messed up. A company that obviously does not care about their customers after the sale has been made. What a bad experience! Update: Omio now responds 5 months later to my review here, that seems a little late. @Omio: 5 months ago, I have spoken with your customer service extensively which lead to nothing. You hide behind DB while you clearly misinformed me about my itinerary - the train was already cancelled but you kept telling me it would go. You need to take responsibility of your failure and compensate the 98 euro I had to spend on buying another ticket.

    Warning, stay away from this website!!!! We booked a ticket for at the Omio Website. And we wanted to chance the ticket at Refne (Spanish Railway), which is normally possible. Refne told us because you booked it with Omio you dont have any rights.

    Don't use their platform! They just cancelled my train ticket without notice and said that I need to contact by myself to Deutche Bahn. If you are going to pay for 8 EUR for processing fee to Omio for nothing, why don't you make reservation by yourself? - don't trust them.

    App crashed multiple times and they tried to blame everything on me and wouldn’t issue a refund. They lie and deceive and just pretend that they did nothing wrong. They literally told me that they were surveilling what I did in their app, and that they think that they didn’t do anything wrong because of their surveillance. It doesn’t occur to them that since their app crashed, perhaps their surveillance efforts were not effective. I feel like I am living in George Orwell‘s book. It looks like I need to sue them in court. Disgusting company with incompetence to spare.

    Worst experience I had in Europe. Bought a train ticket from their app from Frankfurt to Amsterdam. Decided to upgrade to first class so that I would have enough room for me and my luggage and I could enjoy the trip and scenery. When I boarded I sat in the first class cabin but I did not have a reserved seat. At the next stop someone said I was sitting in their seat so I moved me and my 45kg of luggage with me to a new seat. Next stop someone asked me to move again only this time there were no seats left!! I ended up standing up with my bags right next to the bathrooms for two hours! I could not even see the windows to see any scenery. It just could not have been worse. I have written to them asking for a refund for the “first class” portion of my ticket since they apparently sold me something they did not have.

    They are refusing to give invoice for ÖBB train ticket, but I only found out after payment. During ordering and payment I could give company data for invoice, but there was no warning the only invoice teansaction fee. I payed 184EUR and got a 8EUR invoice on company name, they say the train ticket itself is an invoice, but they ordered it to my own name so my company is not paying for it. Customer service rejected my invoice request for the ticket.

    The booking system is collapsed. During the booking process the one date was shown, but after I payed I received the wrong ticket - same train I supposed to book but for the next day. Called to the support line the same day - the autoreply told me that “phone support is not available” Tried to clarify it via chat bot and then chatting with agents - no result. No money return and ticket for the wrong day. Feels like a scam. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Better just look at the company providing the train and book directly at their website because this one is not credible.

    Thank you, Omio I received my refund as promised. The reservation for my three trips across Spain was smooth and easy. Prompt and user friendly. I didn’t need any printed documentation and my e-ticket worked perfectly. However, I would value your consideration of an easier and more straightforward cancellation possibility. That is, whenever I clicked “cancellation options,” I got an error note (oops! Something went wrong). Yet, if this is resolved I would give a ***** rating. What I also liked is the call center support. The agents helped and walked me through my cancellation and followed up, supporting and calling back till my issue was resolved.

    We had an easy booking experience with Omio for a ferry trip from Naples to Sorrento. Unfortunately due to weather conditions the ferry was cancelled. Without any contact from me Omio emailed me with an exceptionally professional and pleasant email informing me my refund was already being processed and hoped my trip planned trip was still managed. Excellent customer service.

    I booked with Omio online Chamonix to Geneva airport bus ticket for a Monday departure at 14:00, but the bus never came. I have to purchase any company at the last minute departure at 17:15. My whole afternoon was ruined. I wouldn’t recommend this company. I kept calling the customer service number at 14:00 and there’s no answer. A week later, they replied to my email, telling me that they had changed the schedule due to the farmers strike. However they didn’t bother to notify the ticket holders. The 24 hour confirmation required is in the fine print. I purchased the insurance but was told there’s nothing they can do because the Aply bus company refuses to refund.

    Booking was easy but importantly their customer service was excellent. My trains in Portugal were cancelled due to strike action. My request for a refund from the operator was undetaken by Omio. It took a while (not Omio's fault) and they (Omio) always responded promptly to my enquiries. I would use again.

    I had booked the wrong time for a train . I emailed Omio and within a few hours it was changed to my preferred time. They attached the rules regarding changing a reservation which was very helpful . Couldn’t believe how fast it all happened. Usually it takes at least 24 hrs just to be contacted! I’m booking the rest of my journey with them, knowing if something comes up it will be dealt with right away.

However, with their smooth communication and swift decision, they allowed me to change my point of departure with out any extra cost. Omio is one of the best, trusted and friendly approach travel app! I have been their customer for so long and they never disappoint me!

    I wanted to order a return ticket Stockholm-Gothenburg but it was very difficult to book, in the end I got four tickets and two debits. Communicated with Omio customer service who after many emails helped me, but they didnt tell me instead I had to call SJ that informed me.

    Hello OMIO, I am very disappointed with your Customer Service of Silvano. Our conversation is closed a few hours before I replied his message. I need your help to get my full refund ticket after waiting for 100 days. LATAM as the airline cant transfer my refund money to my bank account in my country and LATAM asked me to contact my travel agency to process my refund.     Following my contact with Omio I was successful in obtaining a refund on trains that were cancelled due to industrial action being undertaken in Portugal at the time. The officials that I was dealing with in Omio were courteous, understanding and very helpful. I would have high praise for them and the perseverance that they had with the train company itself.     I requested the cancellation of the ticket obtained through OMIO. Due to a sudden illness, I was unable to go to France. Thank you for your sincere response. If there was no language barrier, I would give it a ★5. It might be next year, but I will definitely go to France for the fourth time. So, I will use it again then.

    They were very helpful. Unfortunately due to nature or my restricted ticket fare I wasn’t able to change the date of my booking. For future reference I think a system, like the one Trainline has, where cancellations can be made in the first 15 mins after booking would be good.

    I will travel to Italy in April and I bought the train trip through OMIO, I selected Florence - Rome and I don't know when, the page should have offered me a possible option but it was in the opposite direction... the fact is, I wrote to them immediately To fix it, there are still almost 15 days left to make the trip and they won't change it or give me my money back.
