Friday asked the bathroom consultant for help with a product. But I have an appointment straight away was the flippant answer! Bought the product (€250), it was gone... Today tried to get a bathroom consultant to get the right fittings and accessories. Unfortunately not possible because according to the statement everyone is sick or on vacation. Can happen... But the colleagues from the other departments didn't seem really helpful, some of them were annoyed! YES, I'LL COME BACK... But definitely no more for help and advice! Only for dowels, screws etc... I don't need any help or advice 👎

Nice and huge store. We found everything we needed and the service was very good too.

The hardware store offers everything you are looking for and the range is really comprehensive. However, you have to be prepared that the prices are slightly higher compared to Bauhaus. The staff also seemed unwilling to do price comparisons. On the plus side, there is ample parking and the ability to withdraw money is convenient with the Postbank ATMs. The toilets are clean and are available not only to customers but also to non-customers. Overall, a good hardware store, but price-conscious shoppers might consider alternatives.

We went to OBI today to buy a shower set. We received professional advice based on our needs from Mr. Kuck, who also prevented us from making a serious mistake. Then you know why you don't buy online. Thank you.

The store is big, spacious. There are enough parking spaces for customers. The only drawback is that there are no bicycle spokes and the associated nipples. You don't necessarily have to buy from Obi, because the prices are identical to the other Bauhaus stores.

It's sickening, nobody can do it at one on Friday. It could easily be 100 thousand standing in a traffic jam.

This place has almost everything! There was a very good selection and everything was easy to find. It is like the German Bunnings, even with the sausage sizzle outside. The cafe looked real good too, we will try next time we are there

In terms of US box stores, OBI is mostly a Home Depot with some Target and a pet store sprinkled in. Will do for most DIY projects. Some of their inventory has gaps such as ducting for a hood vent. The guy we asked was a bit clueless and then got a little arrogant about us asking. Know german culture pretty well but saw another example of poor service and attitude in a different part of the store and the customer was German. All in all, if you got a DIY stop at OBI first and then fill in the gaps with Amazon. No English so you better have the German written down.

I like this shop, there you can find everything you need for your house and garden. At weekends, there are pretty many people, so it is better to plan a shopping on weekdays. Parking is big and convenient.

Only went in for bread and cakes. A wonderful selection even though it was the end of the day.

Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, some are a bit grumpy. Compared to other hardware stores I went to in Berlin, service level and selection are below average. But it could be worse and if you know what you're looking for, you'll probably find it here.

Very busy on nice weekends, staff very nice.

Very long waiting time at the only open bar cash register. If you want to shop here, you should keep in mind that cash payments are obviously not welcome. Once again I see three self-service checkouts open, which hardly any customers use, but two experienced checkout employees stand next to them to help. Only one cash register is open, where the customer waits in line for 10 minutes and the inexperienced cashier has to keep asking questions while she's working.

Has everything to fix up your home

Were trying to get some advice on how to choose paint for walls using our poor German. The man we asked wasn't helpful at all, was annoyed we didn't speak good German and clearly wanted to go back to chat with his colleagues. Also, we waited for 10 minutes for someone from the staff to finally show up.

Too many options but too expensive

The employees in this Obi are all well versed in the specialist areas. If you catch an employee, they are always very friendly. Someone even spoke to me on their own (because I seemed so helpless...). I always enjoy coming here.
