Never
again
!
We
have
used
Mercedes
Spandau
for
years
.
It
has
been
expensive
but
service
OK.
This
time
our
E
250
was
up
for
a
B5
service
.
Car
left
at
7.15
,
call
from
Mercedes
two
hours
later
:
All
Brake-cubes
had
to
be
exchanged
(
there
had
been
no
warninglights
that
they
needed
attention
)
Oilcooler
for
automatic
transmission
was
defect
and
needed
exchange
,
And
furthermore
they
suggested
exchange
of
the
rubber
for
the
windscreenwashers
(
they
functioned
perfectly
)
.
We
were
on
our
way
back
to
Denmark
and
could
not
wait
for
the
car
for
several
days
.
Then
they
promised
that
we
could
get
the
car
next
day
at
10.00
which
was
absolutely
the
latest
if
we
should
make
our
appointments
in
Denmark.
Needless
to
say
,
we
waited
until
10.55
before
we
got
the
car
,
the
exchanged
parts
were
not
available
for
inspection
(
which
they
should
be
)
.
We
made
some
fuss
about
the
exchange
of
the
transmission-oil-cooler
and
got
in
contact
with
their
service
manager
,
mr.
Zienicke,
who
then
promised
to
deduct
the
cost
of
the
oilcooler
from
the
bill
.
OK,
we
jumped
in
and
headed
for
Denmark.
After
approx
100
km
we
had
a
warning
light
saying
the
engine
needed
cooling
liquid.
Spent
nearly
45
minutes
to
find
a
garage
who
could
supply
some
.
Of
course
we
missed
our
appointments
in
Denmark
that
day
.
Mercedes
Spandau
knows
very
well
the
value
of
their
time
,
their
esteem
of
the
customers
time
don´t
range
that
high
-
and
what
is
even
worse
:
Knowing
how
to
say
:
We
are
truly
sorry
-
doesn´t
exist
int
heir
vocabulary
.
After
2
weeks
we
are
still
waiting
for
the
balance
for
the
oilcooler
to
be
paid
back.
Don´t
ever
go
there
.
It
is
a
rip-off
business
!
