Looking at this steel structure building from the outside and seeing the inside when we entered, we really saw a masterpiece and engineering wonder. Amazing! This state-of-the-art station has a variety of services that pamper its customers: food outlets and restaurants, bookstores, clothing shops, souvenir shops, ATM machines, toilets, etc.

Amazing and modern train station. Always full of movement and activity, it is a true transport hub built for the FIFA World cup 2006. It connects long distance, regional and suburban trains with metro, tram and buses. There is also a huge shopping center embedded full of eateries and various shops. Very safe

Great train station with a shopping center and plenty of restaurants and connections with local public transport. Local public transport like S and U bahns are very frequent. Clean toilets are available for a fee (1Eur), they are wheelchair accessible and have baby changing areas. All information is available in both English and German. The DB customer information center is also available there.

Such an amazing train station. Several levels of trains within this station. It is a train buffs dream. So cool to see all the levels of trains coming in and out of the station. Tons of shopping, places to eat and drink within the station. Loved our visit. Just one of many reasons to visit Berlin. Such a great city.

Berlin main station which is known Hauptbahnhof is the modern and largest station in the German capital Berlin with a lot of escalators and lifts. There’re many cafes and eating places on most of floors and some are very yummy. This station was opened in May 2006 and this modern building has many levels where trains run every level on top of each other. It is a transportation hub for internal and external trains, a metro station, tram stop in front of it and bus stops around it. The longest route that runs through Berlin Central railway station is the Sibirjak. It links Berlin to some cities in Russia.

This place is huge! But I have to say it is very clean. Signs are everywhere to help you find your way around. There are plenty of restaurants and shops for the last minute gift. Also, there are grocery stores inside the train station. Smoking is not allowed in the train station.

The main station list up to its name. The station is huge, big and spacious with plenty of shops and address to pick and run. It’s a three level station with trains passing on the third level and second level spill with tops and restaurants and first level is entrance.

This place is a technical wonder. Congratulations to everyone who has been part of creating and operating it. I have seen many great terminals but this one is probably the best. I do mean it.

Berlin central station is a beautiful piece of art and operates 24x7 and connects Europe. Outside the station you can find a lot of hotels and hostels to stay. Also there is a beautiful canal side to ride your cycle or to walk. Another best thing is that there is boats for tourists in canal at very cheap rates. Which shows you the best of berlin. And big bus is just outside the station if you want to explore city in a day.

Well planned Station. I’ve visited numerous train stations within Germany and Berlin Hauptbahnhof is the best of them. Each route and each different means of transport have its own station on different levels(U Bahn, S Bahn, RE, ICE etc), and this makes the platforms very less crowded. All basic necessities are available on the station, lots of ATMs, restaurants, food outlets. Only Con : Washroom charges 1 Euro :/

When I looked at the photos, I said, Berlin haubtbahnhof really looks like a concert stage 😊. The interior of the Berlin Hauptbahnhof resembles the interior of musical instruments. It's like you're in a dj device where a techno music is being made! A tremendous experience. I always say; I love Germany's haubtbahnhofs, but this is such a special place! Come here and have a little wander! You will listen to the sounds of the Industrial Revolution produced from metal, you will feel the spirit of modernism. You will find within you a seeing solitude, the power to dominate nature, and the spirit of time. Just like in Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way. . . ." 😇

Nice station building with several shops inside. It is easy to get oriented inside the station complex as there are several signs are present everywhere. The tram and bus stations are just outside.

Our trip to central station was an unforgettable one and the pictures are just a small part of the appreciation of my experience it was really really nice. Crowded but safety precautions in place. The only down side to it it was that we couldn’t sit anywhere.

I’ve seen many big and huge stations in cities across Europe and UK. But Berlin Hauptbahnhof Central Train Station is incredibly huge and sophisticated. It was like in the science fiction movie where it’s a home of the aliens or something with spaceship 🚀👾👽 The elevator capsules with glasses, the restaurants chains are everywhere, the brands shops and it’s just like a huge mall but integrated with train station. I was lost and somehow Berlin treated me kind and some people helped me. I’ll be back someday.

A HUGE and beautiful station full of amazing shops, restaurants and convenience stores. This station is massive and has multiple floors with trains leaving from several platforms. There is a McDonald’s, a REWE, donut shops, book shops and more. Toilets are all mostly clean and only costs a small charge to enter. Signage could be a bit better as an English speaking tourist, can be a bit confusing at times. Apart from this, I love this station.

A gigantic train station on 4 floors with many restaurants and shops. Very clean, very busy and very easy to get lost despite the signs everywhere. Very chaotic, with masses of people. The departures' information board is very helpful but finding the right platform was a bit of a hassle for me. I strongly reccommend coming at least half an hour before the departure, especially if you had never been here before.

This station is busier than Lummerland at rush hour. If Lukas the engine driver had been there a little earlier, he would certainly have done a lot to at least start his internship here in this venerable temple of post archaic sacrificial architecture. From Trans to Europe express night trains and airplanes.Enjoy life to the fullest with Deutsche Bahn.

Very big place with a lot of small businesses inside. If you want to buy a water or another drink, just go to the lowest floor, where do trains stop and there is a vending machine with all this stuff. Just be sure to not buy it at 2x prices (like me) in the stores above

Berlin Hauptbahnhof Central Train Station is an absolute marvel! It's not just a transportation hub; it's an immersive experience that feels like a scene from a futuristic movie. The elevator capsules with glass walls make you feel like you're in a spaceship ready for takeoff. The abundance of restaurants, brand shops, and convenience stores throughout the station transforms it into a massive integrated mall. One remarkable feature is its multi-level structure, where trains arrive and depart on different levels, showcasing its modernity. The cleanliness of the station is commendable, given the constant flow of travelers. You'll find familiar chains like McDonald's and REWE, delightful donut shops, captivating bookstores, and so much more. While the station is a treasure trove, it could benefit from improved signage, especially for English-speaking tourists. Despite this minor hiccup, Berlin Hauptbahnhof remains a tourist attraction in its own right, a destination worth exploring. The kindness of the people and the sheer grandeur of this station will leave you eager to return. A must-visit spot for travelers and a testament to Berlin's forward-thinking infrastructure.

Huge station, but runs so well. Vert good selection of shops, cafes and coffee shops. Everything is very well signposted and the information desk was also very helpful. Very easy to find the right platform and trains were on time and very clean.

Huge. Pretty clean. Quite a few benches scattered on floors besides the main lounge. Don't underestimate the time to find the right track of your train regardless the clear numbering and signalling. Some cafeterias and stores open until 10pm.

The Berlin Central Train Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof) boasts beautiful modernist/minimalist and futuristic architecture. The place is impeccably clean and flooded with natural light. It offers an abundance of shops, including a supermarket, food court, restaurants, coffee shops, chemist, bookstore, and clothing stores—more than one could ask for. This station should rightfully be a source of pride for Berliners.

I really enjoyed my first steps coming out the train to this beautiful interior. The refreshing view and very clean environment was a beautiful topping to it! I loved every bit of this place. The stores are a nice, but nothing special as it is a train station. I did enjoy the bakery that was there, some others may find it just a normal place, but coming from looking at NYC stations all day, this was a treat! I decided to work to my hotel and enjoyed the outer areas, though I didn't take any pictures it. As a tourist it is fun to see, as a local, it would be just another day.

A great station with high quality and diverse facilities. Bear in mind that you need to pay for the toilet, but cards are accepted. Note too that the luggage lockers only accept coins and the change machines were out of action when we visited. Lots of beggars selling papers and collecting in cups - be aware.

Well strategised, excellent service from the Bahnhof staffs, nice layout, information of the next catching trains are right in every corner, the Bahnhof Staff are right there if incase of any inquiries! And the connecting trams and business are just right close by!

Berlin Main Central Station is a very good. You can see so many levels. There are plenty of shops for shopping, eating. It's neat and clean. If you would like to use washrooms please keep some change. I don't know if they have updated to use card these days.

Beautiful and huge. But confusing to get around, without very clear markers to help people find each other or meet in a timely fashion. A bit more organization in allowing people to identify locations can go a long way
