The capital of Switzerland has a very atmospheric and cultural atmosphere. I want to feel the local tranquil atmosphere here. The ancient city is also very amazing. 👍It doesn’t feel like the capital. Walking here and enjoying the shopping experience It’s a good time in the morning. 👍The nearby scenery is also very impressive. There are also many scenic spots that you can go for a walk. It’s a very distinctive capital. It’s a pity that it was cloudy when I went to Bern that day, but I think I’ll save it for the next time I go to Bern. Come and enjoy this beautiful ancient city again if you have the opportunity!👍👍

It's a lovely town, and being there feels like stepping back in time. It's peaceful, and clean, and there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from.

The Bern's Old Town is the No.1 Must See Place when you go to Bern. I admit that I had doubts before I came here but then, I fully understood why this old town had become a world's heritage! Its calmness, medieval buildings, streets, fountains, & the beautiful & elegant clock towers, have made this Old Town be possibly the most pretty Historic Town in Switzerland! Tips: It's easy to get here from the Bern's Station too, just look up & follow one of the clock towers. (Please note that the picture showed as the caption in Google's UNESCO Von Bern is actually the Zetgloge Clock Tower, which is an ancient landmark from the 13th century.)

The city of Bern is great to visit (as for most Swiss cities I would avoid going there on a Sunday as most shops are closed and some restaurants too). Bern has a beautiful old city center which is easy to get to from one of the many parking places around the center or (of course) by train. Really nice view from the Rosengarten and while you are there it’s nice to walk downstairs to the bridge to have a look at the bears at ‚Bärengraben‘. Beautiful City! Please leave a thumbs up/like if you think this review was useful.

The medieval establishment of Berne, reflecting the slow conquest of the site by urban extensions from the 12th to the 14th century, makes Berne an impressive example of the High Middle Ages with regard to the foundation of a city, figuring in the European arena among the most significant of urban planning creations. Enjoyed every bit of there👍

Bern being the capital of Switzerland is an ancient city. Has many historical buildings and scenic lookouts. You have to stay within the city limits to enjoy the sites as they are accessible via light rail. Book a hotel near to the city centre and use the light rail and buses to get around. First time visitors get a free pass within the 2 city zones. Rent a car and travel to Zurich and Geneva to enjoy the alps and historic towns. Busy during the summer. The cost of food etc are very expensive here specially being the capital. Good only if you’re into scenery and historical buildings.

The capital of Switzerland, old town of Bern is big and pretty. I saw a clock tower for the first time and it was interesting to look at. There are trams running throughout the city. There are many beautiful fountains and lovely to look at.

Seeing to many flags made me think that Swiss are really very patriotic. But then I realized, I am in the old town. And yes, it was magnificent as it should be. I really enjoyed my walk and the shops around the streets.

(Translated by Google) The old town of Bern, located on a headland in the Aare loop, has been a World Heritage Site since 1983. It was mainly built between 1191 and 1343 and much of the medieval structure is still preserved today. Characteristic of the old town of Bern are the many sandstone buildings with their arcades, which allow you to stay dry during a shopping spree. The many shops that are housed in the vaulted cellars of the houses and that can be reached by stairs from the street are also typical and impressive. The various, very colorful fountains in the middle of the streets, together with the beautiful old buildings, give the city a special flair. Absolutely worth seeing and with the turquoise Aare all around a pearl of culture.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful old town located in the Aare loop. The most beautiful are the alleys off the shopping streets, there are still small shops, cozy restaurants. A walk, mostly lined with trees, along the Aare, with a view of the old town, should not be missed! Fantastically beautiful!! (Original) Wunderschöne Altstadt in der Aareschlaufe gelegen. Am schönsten sind die Gassen abseits der Shoppingstrassen, hier gibts noch kleine Geschäfte, gemütliche Restaurants. Fun clock that is worth watching. Starts about 5 min before the hour so make sure you are there for this time, as this is when most of the show starts

The old city is located at the bend of the river making it very picturesque from the opposite side. I didn’t care for the caged bears. When we were at the bear pit, one bear was acting odd, scratching furiously at the door and ground. The famous clock was overrated. The one on Praha was more interesting.

Bern, the capital city of Switzerland, is built around a crook in the Aare River. It traces its origins back to the 12th century, with medieval architecture preserved in the Altstadt (Old Town). The Swiss Parliament and diplomats meet in the Neo-Renaissance Bundeshaus (Federal Palace). The Französische Kirche (French Church) and the nearby medieval tower known as the Zytglogge both date to the 13th century

Lots of stuff to see. Keep an eye open for the public fountains. Go to the town hall and Marketplatz on Saturday for the market and to see the inner courtyard of the town hall. Find the wall with Rock and roll mural and see how many stars you can identify. Plenty of restaurants too.

Love it!!! Beautiful old town. Kinda a gothic herringbone main walking street with arcades on the sides. Epic and cool! Cute but firm different and smaller yet very well crafted statues of bears, humans and other animals and fictioned creatures adorned with striking colors and gold line the middle of the walkway and building windows.. So cute and adornful.. Clock towers at checkpoints making us feel like we are trapped in boxes at different sections we go.. Like we got lost in a different time and era. We walk with so much fun and peace, dodging trams and cars which are superbly considerate of pedestrians. At river got beautiful nature scenaries, houses perching on top of each other on countless hills. One great tip is going to the east side by the river for a hidden epic view.. Houses.. River.. Hills and the gorgeous bernese alps.. Like a masterful picture forever painted into my head.. Gorgeous. Overall, magnificent experience and very very special to my heart. One thing though, our expensive best western hotelbern could do better by informing us of construction at the time of booking instead of emailing us hours before check in.. Had to sleep through some drilling and noise.. Wasnt pretty.. Guess they just wanted win win.. Business ethics people.. Get better.. Also things are too expensive.. Even souvenirs and keychains are around a dozen euros. Other places we went were half that. We are tourists who come to your city to contribute to your economy.. Least you can do is return the favor and take care of us by lowering the prices a bit so we can have a piece of you home without breaking our bank.. We ended up taking some street sausages while 'couldnt find the store to pay..' because cost was getting too much.. Funny true story.. Had to confess because i love Bern so much and felt so bad afterwards that i donated 100$ to Unesco later on that night lol.. Sorry Bern.. Even better if i could donate specifically to Bern old town but couldnt find that option.. Sigh.. Overall spectacular trip, charming and beautiful super clean little town. forever extremely special in my heart. Thank you and love you Bern old town!!! ❤❤❤

Kramgasse in Berns old city is place one should visit in Bern. Nice old buildings and the street where Albert Einstein lives for 3 years and he wrote the theory of relativity in this street. I have also lived in the street that joins it Gerechtigkeitsgässse another beautiful street similar to Kramgasse. There are also many streets that run parallel to these streets that are ideal to relax and stroll.

It's different from other Swiss cities. The bear pit and the new lift which is added a couple of years ago to go down to the river is brilliant. It's so natural, and to dip your legs in the Aare river it's the ultimate experience. Highly recommended to visit Bern.
