ZERO

This
is
a
lesson
for
those
intending
to
use
an
accommodation
provider,
to
READ
REVIEWS
-
we
didn’t
!
Look
at
reviews
for
this
hotel
on
its
own
website.
It
says
“100%
genuine
reviews
from
our
guests”.
We
have
stayed
at
a
number
of
Accor
hotels
and
received
requests
to
do
a
review.
We
were
not
asked
to
do
a
review
for
Besancon
Ouest.
In
fact
“TrustYou”
which
claims
to
be
responsible
for
surveys/reviews
said
we
should
ask
Besancon
Ouest
why
we
were
not
so
requested.
We
did
ask,
but
got
no
reply.
Conclusion,
hotel
does
not
want
a
review
that
will
not
help
it.
“TrustYou”
got
this
feedback
from
us,
but
couldn’t
care
!
Look
at
ratings
on
other
websites
than
Accor
for
this
hotel
-
they
are
not
good
!
Believe
those.
High
rated
reviews
?
you
must
wonder
if
they
are
fabricated.
We
arrived
on
3
May.
We
had
prepaid
-
more
fool
us
!
There
were
no
staff
in
attendance
at
12.00.
A
resident
said
there
would
be
no
staff
there
for
4
hours.
He
tried
to
phone
to
make
contact
with
staff
but
got
no
response.
A
“machine”
at
the
front
entry
invited
us
to
enter
our
booking
code
-
we
did
so
a
number
of
times.
The
“machine”
said
our
code
was
“invalid”.
We
tried
doing
the
online
check-in
in
case
that
could
help.
All
went
well,
but
it
wanted
our
credit
card
particulars
-
but
the
hotel
had
already
been
paid
!
We
were
not
going
to
provide
irrelevant
details
to
a
doubtful
venue.
We
attempted
to
email
Accor
but
got
no
responses
…..
An
‘enquiry’
email
avenue
was
provided,
but
it
would
not
deal
with
our
issue
-
when
would
there
be
staff
at
the
hotel
?
There
was
no
point
waiting
until
4.00pm
to
see
if
staff
would
come.
The
hotel’s
email
inviting
online
check-in
proclaimed
check-in
was
2.00pm,
“we
can
welcome
you
in
style”:
“get
your
key
straight
away”.
DIDN’T
HAPPEN
!
We
went
to
another
Ibis
Budget
Hotel
-
there
were
staff
there
!
They
were
great.
It
was
a
good
hotel,
properly
run.
Ever
since,
we
have
emailed
Besancon
Ouest
and
Accor
but
have
received
no
response
after
nearly
2
months.
The
Accor
agency,
apparently
a
provider
for
surveys,
“TrustYou”
was
contacted.
“TrustYou”
-
what
rubbish,
Trust
?
Accor
have
had
our
email
address
available
via
“TrustYou”
but
there
has
been
no
contact.
“TrustYou”
would
only
say
‘contact
the
hotel
direct’.
We
did
-
no
response.
Accor
seeks
to
foster
loyalty,
but
it
should
be
a
two-way
street
!
There
are
some
very
good
Accor
hotels
-
on
this
trip
we
experienced
Ibis
Geneva
Aeroport
Hotel,
Ibis
Budget
Selestat,
Ibis
Bulle
…..
Message
for
Accor,
we
want
our
money
back
!
Do
not
waste
your
time
with
Besancon
Ouest
!
November

There
is
a
‘response
from
the
owner’.
It
has
taken
some
time.
The
response
refers
to
‘rooms
all
being
renovated
and
more
comfortable
a
new
team
has
been
set
up
to
welcome
you”.
Did
the
‘owner’
read
my
review
?
My
review
says
nothing
about
the
rooms,
comfort
or
otherwise.
Why
does
the
response
not
deal
with
the
issues
raised
in
my
review
?
The
response
underlines
the
ineptness
of
the
‘owner’
and
its
inability
to
address
very
legitimate
issues,
not
least
of
which
is
the
so
called
independent
reviews
of
it’s
premises.
It
has
failed
to
explain
why
we
were
not
invited
by
it
to
provide
a
review.
It
has
failed
to
explain
why
it
takes
so
long
to
communicate
with
us.
It
has
failed
miserably
to
address
the
refund
of
monies
it
grabbed
and
failed
to
return.
ACCOR
-
my
husband
and
I
have
not
heard
from
you
at
all.
We
still
want
to
hear
your
defence
to
the
matters
raised
in
the
review
!
We
are
confident
people
are
interested
in
what
sort
of
interest
you
take
in
consumers
who
have
trusted
your
‘brand’.
Is
it
too
much
to
ask?
