Loved everything we had - the scallops, the roasted vegetables with romesco sauce, eggplant dish, and the dessert - both the cheesecake and brownie were amazing. Service was also very good. Would highly recommend

The owner welkom you friendly with a big smile, and the love for the service and for the food 10+ Good quality fresh and served whit a smile. We eat there with 4 persons and one has a diet of gluten-free and lactose that’s was no problem. We have enjoyed one the best dinners at La Gavilla 10+ for everything We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We've had steak tartare many times, But I didn't expect to find the best steak tartare of my life here in Bilbao. Chef David made a nice steak tartare and put it on a roasted bone with bone marrow! best combination of steak tartare I've ever had!!!!

We tried pork shoulder (highly recommended) and marrow with mushroom rice (very interesting but I prefer the pork shoulder). Amazing. Really amazing. Before entering we already had some tapas and alcohol but we still want to try some grill as we saw some Google photos of this store. The reality was much much better than the photo. The perception was so rich: sound, smell and look. And as the dishes approaching us, everyone in the room was staring at the dishes. This was how amazing it was! The sound of sizzling pork shoulder and the smell of marrow. Omg. My mouth is watery again now. The service was also brilliant. everyone was so helpful and the female staff even told us the difference between the wine they have in Bilbao and that in San Sebastian. I felt bad now that we didn't tip.

What a night! The owners/staff here were so fun and helpful. They steered us to fabulous local wine and fall-off-the bone ribs that had a tangy sauce so scrumptious they brought me a small bowl for my dessert! (Though hub said the chocolate cake was divine, I couldn't bear to spoil the fab sauce flavor!) The artichokes w cheese sauce and Iberian ham were also delicious. We're just sad we're leaving tomorrow and can't return, but certainly will if we're ever back. (And we hope to be!)

Totally five stars! Having some fabulous foods and experiences here, Divid and Natalia are greet! Great fried paper topping with Japanese Katsuobushi! And one of life-best ever pan-fried pork should! Will be back soon and you guys will get your stars!

Probably the best place I have been to in Bilbao. Everything from the starters to the dessert is amazing, surprising and ingredients are super fresh. The service is quick, and the waiter/waitress were kind, smart and competent. The chef himself comes to talk to the guests every now and then, to make sure they're enjoying their meal and exchange a few words. A remarkable wine selection completes the picture of a place which is going to be a must for people coming to Bilbao.

Excellent. We phoned ahead with only 20 minutes notice on a Saturday night and they found us a table. The warm welcome was much appreciated for non-Spanish speakers and the wine was very well priced. The food was slightly pricey but worth every penny, honestly. I would go again, and again, and again. The ribs and cheesecake were the stand out dishes but it was all good, with a very good vibe and great service despite being busy. Ignore this talking about waiting for food - just have another glass of wine and enjoy the atmosphere. Don’t even think about it - just go!

This is one of the few places that i really want to go back again and again if i come to spain again. Got to know about this place through Trip's advisor recommendation. Read through the reviews by others and were very impressed how people were geniuinely pleased with their experience here. Hence, i really wanted to try it out personally. I called to book in advance as advised by the others (the place has limited indoor seating areas) and spoke in my amateur spanish and the staff over the phone was very patient to get my details etc. Upon arriving, we were welcomed with the bustling crowds. It was a very cosy atmosphere still! The service provided by every staff was top notch. They were very caring and made sure we got our food promptly. They even cleared the plates each time we finished a dish despite they were super busy. Just imagine how meticulous and detailed the chef's train of thoughts for his/her clients. Food wise was nothing but excellence. We were blown away with the freshness and interesting combination of the sauce the prawn tempura. The egg plant dish was so juicy. The scallop with califlower puree was magnicent in terms of texture. Our favourite was the iberico shoulder that was served on the hotplate. It made such a grand entrance that really lived up the expectation. Juicy meat perfectly balanced with the fats that melt in your mouth! Paired with beer, it was heaven! I am going to miss this entire experience greatly. Definitely recommend this bar restaurente to everyone who comes to bilbao.

this place deserves 10 stars! the food is absolutely fantastic, the staff is great and the cook/owner is a vituoso! you can choose blind the food and drink and it will be amazing 🤩 simply incredible.

The perfect place! The best one which we visited during our vacation! Like a fusion, eggplant with yogurt sauce - very unusual and strange, but tasty. Good cheesecake. And of course, Secreto Ibérico - meat-to-die-for. 100%. Plus, a good variety of wines which you can order by glasses - we tasted five or six. Highly recommended!

Cheerful and helpful staff giving the restaurant a happy atmosphere. Had 3 dishes all excellent. Roasted vegetables with romesco sauce, langustine in tempura with a kimchi dressing with fish eggs and a dish of rare roasted neck pork. Faultless. And a good value wine list.

Went here for a snack and ended up staying for dinner. Delicious food and friendly staff, recommend making a reservation.

The staff here are the friendliest and most customer focused I've ever come across. The food is delicious - I'm vegetarian so I had the guacamole which was very tasty, my sister had the octopus which she claims was the best she has eaten ever!
