The Deli interior deco shows simplicity yet at the same time practicality including comfort. This is the Malaysian way of life. The service is super friendly, although not served by fellow Malaysian, the hospitality reflects how Malaysian treats guests. Since I grow up with Southeast East Asian food, my expectation might have been too much. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the dishes and look forward to try the rest of the menu. The dish is well presented stirring up our appetite. They also sell a few popular Malaysian products like Babas curry powder, kicap cap kipas, etc. The Deli was quite a popular spot. It was full on a Friday evening plus takeaways 😉🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

We were brought back to memories of Malaysia. The food is really great. It doesn’t taste artificial at all tastes as home cooked food. Love it. I would recommend the jack fruit slider and Nasi Lamak. Very friendly Service.

We had a wonderful experience at this Malaysian restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food was delicious and well-prepared. I especially appreciated that they toned down the spice level, but still provided sauces like sambal for individual taste adjustments. I highly recommend trying the Ayam Percik, it was simply amazing! Teh Tarik and Kopi Tarik were great as well. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious Malaysian meal in Germany.

As a Malaysian, their rendang beef nasi lemak is very authentic. The fragrance of the rendang beef and rice feels like back home. What is better is the customer service provided by Todd. He is very friendly, and also provides the background of the Restaurant before ordering. Hopefully someday, I can return to taste different orders. Double thumbs up to the Chef and the service!

The food is roughly 60-70 pct of Malaysian standard. It’s actually good. There would have been a fifth star if the mee goreng mamak had the short egg noodles and more wok aroma. Highly recommended nevertheless! I can understand why the food choices are quite conservative in this geographical location considering the broad variety of Malaysian cuisine. I would highly suggest slowly introducing more unique dishes like kaya toast, kangkung belacan, laksa, nyonya dishes etc.

We loved the Malay food, well prepared and no shortcuts, very authentic. For anyone who grew up on this hawker style home cooked food, go here, this place brings it, right down to their chili sos, which they could turn into a household brand! The abangs here took perfect care of us. We hope to enjoy more, next time we're in town.

My second time visiting here and it was even better! The food was amazing and well portioned. This is the perfect place to experience a bit of the malaysian cuisine away from Malaysia. Will definitely be back.

The restaurant was recommended to me by a malaysian person and exceeded my expectations. The food was fresh, unique and very tasty. Plus, it is well priced and the staff explained all the menu, which allowed to enjoy even more the meal.

Wow! What an amazing dinner! The food was incredible. Very flavourful with ample portions. The vibe in the restaurant was really relaxing and comfortable. The service was friendly and attentive. Very high calibre. This is my go to spot for all my visits to Cologne. I just wish they had a branch in London.

If you're looking for a Malaysian restaurant specifically (not some place that mixes and matches different Asian cuisines), this place got you covered. I'm honestly thoroughly impressed, and I can see where these overwhelmingly positive reviews are coming from. I had the Nasi Lemak Biasa, which combines many different, intense flavors. It comes with sambal (a type of sauce?) which is more on the spicy end, so that's something to keep in mind if you're like me and very used to (bland) German cuisine. The pineapple salad adds a contrasting sweetness. I also recommend saving some space for desserts, because the Kuih Bakar was definitely my personal favorite. It's mild and just sweet enough without being overbearing, and it has a creamy texture. Amazing food aside, the interior is nicely designed and the atmosphere is great; and owner is super nice and really takes time to give you recommendations and have a little chat. They also have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, and the food seems to be the most authentic you'll get around here. The prices are also reasonable; I got a drink, main course and dessert for just over 20 bucks. Can't recommend this place enough and I'll be back in a day or two myself!

Small and cosy restaurant with excellent food. The restaurant has a simple and nice decor, the owners are very kind and friendly and you immediately feel welcome but above all the food is really delicious. We had the "Ayam Percik" and the jackfruit dish. Do definitely try the homemade sambal! We will be back!

Delicious malaysian cuisine with a lot of vegan/vegetarian options. I believe it’s the only restaurant serving authentic malaysian food in the cologne area.. kasih bang ✨

Very authentic Malaysian cuisine with great service! I had the ayam percik with peanut sauce (similar to satay sauce). The chicken breast is so tender and juicy (somehow reminds me of the Singapore chicken rice). In my short 30 mins in the deli, there were many regulars who came by or just random customers commenting about how they love Malaysian cuisine. The owners are very friendly and was so kind to bless me with a jar of satay sauce (to cure a bit of homesickness). They will launch their products (nasi lemak) to be made available within Germany at get.voila.com in Oct 2022. Another plus point: Drinks menu includes Tiger beer and even A&W rootbeer which are both rather scarce in Germany

Delicious food, interesting and friendly owner. We were granted a table even though we didn't reserve. Highly recommended. Patrick, Will and Joe

Affordable and authentic! Considering how far Cologne is from Malaysia, this is one of the most authentic Malaysian restaurants I have dined in outside of Malaysia. Presentation and dining experience were commendable! The level of spiceness adjustable with their homemade sambal and chili sauces. Food at very reasonable prices for the quality, generous portion, and the type of cuisine it is. There are vegan options! We didn’t try them. But as a Malaysian, I am intrigued. Perhaps I’ll try them on my next trip to Cologne! Three of us ordered rojak and kerabu salad as appetizers, nasi lemak beef rendang, ayam paprik, mee goreng mamak as mains, Portuguese egg tart and kuih bakar as dessert alongside teh tarik. At the end of the meal, we could hardly walk. What a sumptuous experience! Highly recommended if you are in town!

Nice experience discovering malaysian food. We were a large group and they served us a best of to share. The food was good and the people there very nice and helpful.

The owner was amazingly nice! He reorganized the space so our big group could fit and kept the place a bit longer open for us. The atmosphere was really friendly, but the day was chilly and inside was really cold. The food was good. I don't like spicy food so it wasn't for me, but my friends enjoyed it a lot. It's something new to try!
