The building is absolutely beautiful from outside and inside. A very spacious café with plenty of seating area surrounded by the beautiful marble interior of the old bank building. The menu offers brunch style food, including soup, sandwiches, quiche and others. There is a good variety of cakes and treats as well. There are plenty of drink options and coffee and teas. The staff are friendly. Overall good experience for a quick lunch and coffee.

Stunning building and cafe area inside. Came here for a lunch break and couldn't fault anything. Friendly staff, nice and bright inside, very high ceilings making you feel very comfortable. Food came out quick, i went for the pulled pork pasta and it was piping hot and very filling. I would definitely be coming back again.

Excellent deal on soup and a sandwich. Today's offering was bubble & squeak soup with a chicken BLT. Coffee also fab. Make sure you pop by!

Such an amazing place ! The staff is lovely and friendly. The coffee is delicious ! I have had a slice of their gluten free banana and cinnamon cake accompanied with a large cappuccino. It was so good! This place is perfect for catching up or studying / working. Love it!

Grand space in a converted bank --- now an outpost of the University. Credit cards only, cash not accepted. The menu has a nice sounding vegan option, but I stopped in for just a drink. I had a very nice oat milk flat white. Interesting note: Carved into the marble around the skylight is "Savings is the mother of riches" and "Thrift radiates happiness" plus the year "MCMXXXIII" (1933).

Fabulous place to held conferences. The location is very central and within easy reach by foot or public transport. The facilities are amazing - bright, spacious, well ventilated and adequately warm rooms (quite unusual for a large and old building such as this), comfortable chairs, clean toilets, etc. Great catering too! All around great service. Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a young gentleman who took some time to explain the history of the building which I thought was very interesting and thoughtful. Made me feel welcomed and directed me to my meeting room. UoB - great job!

The Old bank had a classy atmosphere. The Barista was a friendly, chatty young man who was only to willing to offer what we wanted. Coffee was good!!

A stunning restoration of the old Municipal bank here, Grade II listed building a wonderful turn of the 20th century banking hall. A wonderful cafe with lovely staff, nice food and coffee. The fine details kept, a lovely atrium roof skylight as well. Look for the banking hall inscriptions

This was a real gem of a place for lunch that I came across by accident as I walked around the Christmas market. The food was tasty and reasonably priced . The service was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and its light and bright inside with a mixture of comfy sofas for those having a coffee or more practical table and chairs for those having a meal.
