After covid, this was our first Tropic team outing and I must say we couldn’t have picked a better place! 💖 The food is next level and was made to perfection 👨‍🍳 and it went beautifully with the drinks available. The service and atmosphere was spot on 🫰🏾 Our waiter was Soyel 🫶🏽 whose charm and charisma kept us girls entertained for the duration of our stay…which was for hours by the way. Thank you for putting up with us. 🥰 no doubt, we will see you soon 😉 Merci

TOTALLY AMAZING!!! We visited Birmingham for a few days and we went to BROWNS twice! We took an Uber just to eat there again. Fist day, they had a three course menu for £21, so I ordered an apetizer and one of the best steaks I have ever had, my wife had smoked salmon and an incredible chicken pie. The next day was a weekend so they didnt have the three couse meals and we ordered "a la carte" traditional fish&chips and a satered salmon. Both absolutely out of this world. My wife actually dreamt of that salmon. The cheff is outstanding. The staff was super friendly. They had this great guy playing the piano. The best part? We had these great meals for about £60 for two people. Highly RECOMENDED!!!

We took the chance of not booking on a Sunday lunchtime. We were greeted with a very positive approach and the server managed to fit us in, fantastic service. The ambience is warm and welcoming. The food was delicious.

Browns is one of those brasserie/bars that thankfully isn't weighed down with the politics of sticking to a 'corporate' way of cooking. The food is excellent and of a high quality. Service was good and the place has a good ambience. Worth stopping at before/after shopping in the Bullring

Used to frequent Browns but haven’t been in sometime because of covid. I’m not sure if this is new or if it’s the first time I’ve noticed it. After I paid the bill, I noticed that the ‘’Total Cost’’ in bold print on the bill was was actually the cost of the bill plus a 10% service charge. Lower down on the bill it states ‘’10% optional service fee.’’ If this was optional, why it was automatically added to my bill? I found this truly deceptive as most times I don’t look at receipts and at no point I was informed of this. Assuming that I have no problem paying 10% additional fee is wrong.

Group booking for friend's big birthday on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Couldn't fault the service - excellent from start to finish. Thank you to our waiter Robson and the stylish duty manager! We went here for Afternoon tea and it was great. We got 4 mini sandwiches each, 2 freshly baked scones (with clotted cream and jam) and 4 different cakes. They were very generous with the cake portions that we couldn’t finish everything. And all this was for £14, so it was a bargain. You could upgrade as well for champagne or gin afternoon tea. The place itself is really nice and they have live piano on certain days. I would recommend going here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Browns restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the inviting ambiance and friendly staff made me feel right at home. But what truly blew me away was the food. As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find tasty and varied options at restaurants, but Browns had an impressive selection of both vegetarian and vegan dishes. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend Browns to anyone looking for a delicious and diverse dining experience.

There are beautiful views out of the window - the church and the Selfeidges. The Breakfast was very good. To my surprise, there was tofu and spinach. It's very nice with salt and pepper. Their signature dish is lobster eggs, but they do not offer it today. Try again next time.

Another visit to Brown's Birmingham a couple days ago I've and not been disappointed. Food has always tasted beautiful and the team have been so lovely, welcoming and friendly I can't fault them. Especially when I've been an awkward customer making changes lol! My partner and I loved our roasts on Sunday ad just hit the spot and I Especially loved the profiteroles, so so tasty!!! Definitely one we will keep returning to. We'll done team!

Very pleasant surroundings and friendly helpful staff. I had sea bass fillets with capers, mash and spinach along with a non alcoholic IPA which were both delicious. I can recommend this place as somewhere nice to go for a special evening.

Brown's Restaurant is a popular spot in the Bull Ring. This is the first time I had eaten there and the service is was excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu features a variety of classic dishes, as well as some more modern options. We started with the chicken skewers, which were delicious. For our main courses, I had the steak which was cooked perfectly, but it was a way too fatty as over 20% of the cut I was serviced had to be left. At these prices I expected more from the main. Overall, I had a great experience at Brown's. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was good. However, I would recommend ordering something other than the steak if you're not a fan of fatty meat. I've just enjoyed a lovely two course dinner at Brown's Restaurant, Birmingham, my second visit this week! Nice atmosphere, delicious, fresh food presented very well (the scallops were outstanding!) and very friendly, hard working, and helpful staff. The manageress was lovely, very interesting to chat to, and happy to have time for her customers. An excellent customer experience. Highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic wine selection and super friendly staff. Food was spectacular and very reasonably priced. Been here before and will definitely go again.

The hospitality and food are excellent. The waiters are friendly to serve and accommodate your experience. The prawn and meat buns are recommended. They serve the buns after breakfast times, which is after 11.30 am. Definitely try them on your first visit here.

We visited Browns twice during our 4 day Birmingham visit and it was delicious both times! Shiru was our server during our second visit and she was so very sweet and attentive to our all of our dining needs! Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area!

Super friendly staff and easy to order

I took my mum here for afternoon tea as a late mother's day present and we had a really good time. My mum is gluten free and they had a whole gluten free menu and afternoon tea as well as vegetarian options. The food was so good and was so pretty too. The staff were really friendly and accommodating too. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it for a treat! Would definitely go again.

This was my first visit to Browns restaurant. Service was slow, and drinks took a long time to come out, considering that it was a very quiet evening visit. The food came out in good time. However, the food was sub-par. The best course was the starter (beetroots and whipped goat's cheese). Everyone working there looked like they didn't want to be there, except from one young lady who was new ,she was very friendly towards us. Considering dinner for 2 people mid week came to £120 I don't think this is value for money.

Had a very pleasant afternoon tea here and staff were very accommodating replacing my fish with other sandwich fillings. Only a couple of minor gripes. Scones were very small but came with two pots of jam. I can only assume they are wasting an awful lot as my fellow diner and I only used about 20% of what we were given. As with all afternoon teas, I would prefer more savory and less sweet but that is just my personal preference.

I'm a coeliac and catered to all my needs. Also we had a 12 year old with us. She is a fussy eater and again catered for her. Nothing was too much trouble. If you in Birmingham at Bull ring. This is place to eat.

Had an impeccable 3 course lunch with faultless service here on a weekday during Easter holidays. The decor and surroundings are beautiful, especially the piano, very classy. The prices are reasonable for the menu, very much your high end dining experience. Our waitress Shauna made sure our visit was special and we will definitely be back. Fabulous afternoon at Browns, the festive menu was excellent both quality and portion size, very generous. Atmosphere was fantastic, a lively vibe and you can see how popular Browns is, the place looked fully booked. From the moment we walked in the customer service was faultless . Alex looked after us and she was a credit to Browns. Very attentive throughout our time there.

It was my first time at Browns and I went with my family yesterday evening. The food was delicious 😋 I had the Maple & Cinnamon Glazed Pork Belly and shared a few sides with family. For dessert, I had Crème Brûlée. Very attentive staff and great ambience! Would definitely go again.

We had a lovely anniversary dinner here, food was cooked to perfection and our server, Sophie, was amazing! She was so sweet, gave us recommendations on where else to visit and surprised us with an anniversary desert at the end of it all. We had a space for a large gathering to celebrate a wedding. The service was phenomenal. They were incredible to our party and went out of their way to take care of us. The food was incredible.

Me and my girlfriend had lunch from here today. I ordered half chicken with fries and my girlfriend got the chicken and AVACADO salad. When she was eating she realised they didn't put any avocado in her meal. Instead they took off £4 off her virgin Mojito, which the meal which she didn't eat was over £13. I'm sure this GOV scheme was also £10 off per person, Instead they only took £10 off ONCE for both our meals... I think its safe to say we won't be going here again!

I've been in twice this week. I first visited with my partner for lunch. The food and the service were top notch and definitely worth the price. The staff that saw to us were incredibly attentive, friendly, and warm. This made me feel genuinely welcomed as a customer. The drinks recommendations were spot on and definitely helped us to get the most out of our meal. All of this was so good I popped in again today to enjoy a desert and coffee. Both of these smashed my expectations and left me very impressed. Once again, the staff, food, and serve were all exceptional.

Check your bill very carefully. They charged us for two cocktails,when we gave them vouchers. When we complained,they told us they would refund the money back on the card. When I arrived at railway station to check ,only one had been refunded. Nearly two weeks later I am still waiting for the refunded money . Afternoon tea was ok , sandwiches and cake tray just put down ,no one informs you what are in the sandwiches . Over all ,not the best afternoon tea.
