I
have
recently
moved
to
the
neighbourhood
and
had
never
been
to
The
Charlie
Hall
before.
On
30/07/22
a
friend
and
I
visited
for
the
first
time.
I
ordered
a
double
vodka
&
lemonade
with
a
splash
of
cranberry
juice.
The
bar
tender
looked
puzzled
and
replied,
"What's
that?"...I
answered,
"You
don't
know
what
cranberry
juice
is?"
The
young
bartender
now
looked
a
little
embarrassed
and
explained
she
knew
what
it
was,
she
just
wasn't
sure
how
she
was
going
to
put
a
splash
of
cranberry
juice
through
the
till?
When
we
sat
down
with
our
drinks,
I
asked
my
friend
if
I
came
across
rude
to
the
worker
as
that
was
not
my
intention.
My
friend
explained
that
it
did
sound
as
if
she
didn't
know
what
cranberry
juice
was.
Throughout
the
evening
when
we
bought
more
drinks,
it
was
clear
the
bartender
was
not
happy
with
us
for
some
reason.
Her
face
clearly
looked
annoyed
and
her
manners
were
no
existent.
She
did
not
say
please
or
thank
you
and
kept
all
communication
to
abrupt
one
words.
We
shrugged
it
off
as
we
didn't
intentionally
go
out
to
upset
the
staff
member
and
enjoyed
our
evening.
The
following
morning
we
returned
for
breakfast.
When
we
arrived
at
the
till,
the
same
bartender
was
there
from
the
night
before.
I
asked
if
we
could
have
2
breakfasts
please?
She
smiled
and
said,
"No,
because
you're
3
minutes
late".
I
replied
I
understand
this,
but
do
you
think
you
could
ask
the
kitchen
staff
if
they
would
still
prepare
2
full-English
breakfasts
please?
The
bartender
looked
over
at
a
kitchen
staff
member
who
was
taking
food
out
and
said,
"go
ask
them
yourself".
I
simply
said
ok!
The
kitchen
staff
was
standing
next
to
the
coffee
machine
with
had
the
time
on
it.
I
said
the
time
says
11:28am,
can
we
still
get
to
breakfasts
please?
He
pulled
his
phone
out,
checked
the
time
and
said
the
time
on
the
coffee
machine
is
wrong
so
sorry,
we
are
not
serving
breakfast
anymore.
I
again
simply
said
ok
that's
fine,
do
you
have
any
dishes
that
consist
of
similar
ingredients
as
a
full-English
breakfast,
like
eggs,
sausage,
bacon,
etc.
He
was
kind
enough
to
tell
me
that
the
all-day
brunch
is
similar
to
a
breakfast.
I
said
great,
thanks
for
your
help
and
immediately
ordered
2
of
those
for
my
friend
and
I.
I
was
very
unimpressed
with
the
original
bar
tender
for
not
providing
the
customer
service
I
would
have
liked
and
at
least
informed
the
kitchen
staff
of
my
request.
She
also
didn't
offer
any
alternatives
like
the
other
member
of
staff
did.
When
the
food
arrived
it
was
almost
the
same
as
a
breakfast,
except
there
wasn't
hash
browns
or
toast
but
chips
instead....and
of
course
the
price
too!
While
we
were
eating
we
saw
and
heard
another
couple
complain
about
the
service
they
received
by
a
bartender
when
making
their
food
order,
to
the
point
where
they
actually
left
their
food
and
walked
out.
Now
I'm
not
one
who
usually
eats
or
drinks
at
a
weatherspoons
but
it
clearly
seems
that
from
my
experience
over
the
last
2
days,
that
some
if
not
at
least
one
member
of
staff
needs
to
be
retrained
on
polite,
professional,
customer
service!!!
I
have
nothing
against
weatherspoons
pubs
and
will
gladly
return
to
any
branch,
but
I
would
expect
the
staff
to
give
common
curtesy
and
manners
that
I
would
show
any
other
human
being
on
the
planet!!!
