Purecraft
Bar
&
Kitchen
in
downtown
Birmingham
is
a
very
stylish,
upmarket
"pub"
close
to
the
must-see
Museum
&
Art
Gallery.
It
is
run
by
Purity
Brewery,
so
expect
their
full
range
of
real
ales
-
plus
many,
many
guest
ales
on
top.
Beer-range
wise,
this
is
one
of
the
best
places
in
Birmingham,
and
they're
all
very
well
kept
-
I
sampled
three
ales,
all
in
perfect
condition.
Of
course,
I
didn't
expect
anything
less
from
an
establishment
that
charges
you
UKP
6
a
pint
-
a
premium
outside
of
London.
Also,
the
food,
while
very
nicely
presented,
I
found
only
a
tad
above
average
and
a
bit
pricey,
too.
17
quid
for
a
modestly
dimensioned
Chicken
Kiev,
however
well
presented,
is
a
bit
much.
The
menu
itself
is
nicely
small-ish,
which
is
usually
a
good
sign.
Typical
modern
British
pub
and
grill
options.
The
staff
though
were
VERY
welcoming
indeed,
and
they
let
me
sample
every
beer
that
caught
my
fancy,
and
not
from
a
schnapps
glass,
which
you'll
normally
get
for
tasters.
The
Purecraft
Bar
&
Kitchen
attracts
a
hipster-ish
crowd,
make
no
mistake
about
it.
If
you're
fine
with
that
-
and
the
prices
-
do
not
hesitate
to
pay
the
place
a
visit.
Great
for
real
ale!
