Understaffed bar and tables. Barman refused to serve the kids pop but his attitude with the explanation was rude. Lots of empty tables but full of plates. Table sticky. Longest we've ever waited for food. Everyone's food was luke warm and of a low standard. Worst Wetherspoons experience so far. Grim.

Service was good although we had to wait to get a seat at lunchtime as it was very busy. Average food. Some of which was poorly presented. Eggs were awfully overcooked

Reasonable prices, not great food. Ordered a medium to well-done steak and it got to the table rare, I send it back and asked if they could put it on the grill for an extra few minutes. When I got the steak the second time it wasn't hot like a steak is suppose to be if you did put it back on the grill and it was still rare!

Four years since I last popped in here. Attentive service from Demi who had impressive knowledge about the company. Unlimited coffee and hot chocolate with a pack of biscuits for £1.59. My second drink was a very good craftbeer: Lukas for £3.39. Large open plan design with a fair few booths if you want privacy. Upstairs bar that was not open on this visit: Monday 9.01.23.

100% Every potential to be a great go to, first time I had visited a Wetherspoons and music was playing. The commonwealth was on screen, great atmosphere, great start to an evening out in Birmingham, right up until visiting the toilets. I appreciate it maybe busier than usual but even so, toilets were disgusting and I was so glad I had some tissue with me as couldn’t find any in the dispensers. There was evidence of people having wiped their feet on the way out of the toilets. Staff were pleasant at the bar but enlist more help to keep the place clean!

Typical Wetherspoons pub if you are familiar with the brand. If not, a good range of drinks, including unlimited coffee, a range of real ale, soft drinks and usual spirits/cocktails. Food is reasonably priced but do not expect Michelin stars, it's simple basic and tasty however. Every Wetherspoons has a unique carpet pattern so check them out when you visit next. Download the app in advance for table service.

Not the best food. Both ordered a proper sized desert; mine was a lot smaller than my friends but we both got charged the same. Staff were busy or disappeared completely.

Popped in here for a quick bite after being in Birmingham for a concert. What a lovely pub. Great service, massive (ladies) toilets, and the usual menu. I loved all of the bunting and decorations for the coronation, too.

Not too busy for a Sunday lunch time. Found a table but had to move empty glasses and clean table ourselves. Guy behind bar was great taking the order and serving drinks making suggestions. Food was alright but server walked past the empty glasses a few times without clearing. Never understood that. Toilets fairly clean apart from the big puddle of piddle

Saturday night out: This pub located on Broad Street is a great choice I must recognize for weekend gathering. There's security at the entrance so make sure you have your ID on you!! It made me feel really safe when joining the superb and incredible atmosphere full of joy and great music. The barman even though the place was packed was really friendly and attentive, I must also recognise the price of the drinks shock me for its affordability. I rarely drink alcohol but this time was really lovely. Massive space with a dance floor and DJ on point. !! Something they have to pay more attention is the timing to clean up tables as we found some glasses on ours. My friend also loved it we will definitely come back sometime soon. This was a great way of welcoming summer.

Huge pub, excellent prices, great vibe, a good age range in there. The food in this instance was better than usual. Service was quick, staff were friendly. I can't fault this particular visit.

Nearby for a course. Nice pleasant drink. Great price. Lovely food, good service, hot, decent size portions. Staff could be a little friendlier.

Just in for a few beers before a concert. Good atmosphere, table service was efficient. Didn't try the food but everyone was having the curry (was curry night), looked good and was a good price. Very close to the city centre in a nice area.

Nice meal but the wrong drink was brought to the table as we ordered a meal and drinks through the app. The atmosphere was nice and calm, with no loud music which made a pleasant change as we could have a conversation without shouting. The staff were very helpful and the food was hot and tasty. Would recommend early evening visits.

This is a really nice example of the chain and I had a pleasant few hours here on a late weekday morning. It was quiet on arrival and nice to see all the tables clean and presented well. Food and drinks were served very quickly but with no scrimping on portions or presentation. It was nice for the staff to check in during the meal that all was okay and quality was perfect. Toilets are upstairs but there is a lift if you need and they were also clean. Overall it’s a great spot and it was impossible to find any complaints!

Me and my friend had a fantastic time at this pub, which has a glorious design, most represented by the counter that has a horizontal light along the front! The staff were friendly and outside seating is a relaxing feature; we enjoyed refreshing drinks with good views and it was clean.

Delightful experience at Wetherspoon's, neat tidy, tables cleared fast, and friendly staff, ordered Gammon, 2 eggs , tomato mushrooms & chips, followed with a refreshing Thatchers cider at total cost of £8.20. fantastic value. well done.

Loved the atmosphere here! I went on a night out with friends to celebrate our security exams. Staff were amazing and friendly and so was the security there, there's a smoking area out back and a dance floor for those who wanted to dance on the night! Loved every moment of it!

Honestly used to really like this spoons until they hired a security team who verbally abused my boyfriend threw him out for nothing and tried to charge us entry on the door. We called to complain and the manager assured us the security team had been sacked only for me to go back to see the exact same security team. They’ve lost my trust, lost my loyalty and lost my interest

Always good food and served fairly quickly. Had fish and chips and the batter was lovely, as good as a chip shop! Staff are friendly too. Usually quiet of a lunchtime when I go in.

A massive Spoons with bags of personality. A lovely place to go to for a dance, a casual drink or meal. The atmosphere is fantastic and the service is quick for the sheer size of the pub. It's definitely a must if you're around Broad Street.

  • 4/5 Ross M. 2 years ago on Google
Good crowd, staff fairly pleasant, have a DJ/dance floor on Fri and Sat evenings, so you can have a dance whilst still benefiting from Wetherspoon's value. Deducted a star for these reasons: - Dirty toilets - Saw a security guard use the toilet and not wash their hands on a previous visit - DJ won't take requests Aside from these things, we enjoy going here and it's excellent value, as you would expect.

NOT a good Spoons!!! Avoid at ALL COSTS. We received a lackluster Pimms lacking fruit and veg that it normally comes with and when we complained they threw in some old, wrinkly fruits which was really a slap in the face in my opinion. The seating is awkward and I did not enjoy the vibes. Definitely will never return. The customers had decorum this time though. Just average food and disappointing drinks. Thumbs down for me. As per usual the staff were nice.

I only attend this venue on Wednesdays to meet up with friends. None of us drink alcohol so they do serve plenty of alternatives with also a good choice of hot food at reasonable prices. The staff are quite efficient and keep the tables clean and free of empty glasses and bottles.
