Excellent small and cosy Japanese style restaurant. Some lovely options on the menu and a good selection. Staff friendly and welcoming, and service is very good. Excellent Ramen and the Bento boxes come in a few different varieties. Reasonably priced for location. Expect to be very full for £15-20 per head. Very good option for a lunch stop or after work of you want to take more time and explore all the menu options.

First time here the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was very comfortable and I loved the music that they played as I am an avid anime fan. The food was great in terms of flavor, presentation and portion size. Chicken was juicy and very yummy. Salmon was perfectly cooked.we are definitely coming back... well done keep it up👌👌👌

I read the reviews and was excited as it’s hard to find decent ramen in the U.K. I fell in love with Ramen in Japan. I have to say very disappointing, the broth had zero complexity and was too hot, the noodles stodgy and over cooked, the pork was basic and the egg very dry. I was quite disappointed and left a considerable portion of the meal. Went and got something else to eat.

The staff are lovely. I did a takeaway and asked if the items could be delivered to me outside in the sunshine as I wanted to sit on the wooden seats opposite. They were more than happy to do that. The restaurant is hidden away by the walk down on the ramp by the back of the Bullring by the Church. Because I’m not familiar with Japanese dishes I asked lots of questions. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I picked up a loyalty card because the chances are I will go there again. Ooo.. there’s a little selection of Japanese spices and snacks that you might look for in a supermarket.

Has to be one of the best sushi and ramen places in Birmingham. We tried the spicy chicken miso ramen, which was absolutely delicious. Our sushi selection was spider roll & spicy tuna roll; thought I preferred the spicy tuna over the spider roll sushi, both were pretty good. We had chicken teriyaki as a side dish too. Too good !

My husband and I went here to celebrate my birthday late. We had bento boxes and spicy nigiris. The foods are excellent for the price. The place is very clean, quiet and cosy. We love the minimalist ambience! The staffs are nice and friendly. As we are both introverts, the place suits us. You take your time while you eat, and no need to stress out. We will come again for other personal celebrations.

A real gem of a place. It's a rare find, such a lovely spot so close to the bullring that isn't all flash. This place has real heart, and that makes the food so much better. We had the soft shell crab sushi roll (Spider roll) Teriyaki Salmon Bento, and Tonkotsu Ramen. Each dish was amazing, and a big portion for the price, we split everything between two but it was easily too much for us, though we wished we could eat more. The tonkotsu comes with 2 fried gyoza - eat them first so the soup doesn't make them too soggy. On that note, I haven't had Tonkotsu this good for a long time - I highly recommend it, particularly if you've had a bad day - this is a soup that heals the soul. The staff were helpful, attentive and always had a smile despite being busy. I recommend sitting at the bar facing the window. It's nice to people watch, and you can see Selfridges and the Clock tower, a nice little spot. Yup, we'll be back for sure. ✌️

The food is absolutely fire, not expecting such high quality Japanese cruise outside from Asia. The sashimi is fresh, soup is boiling hot. I ordered melon soda, that's the bomb, highly recommend if you have not tried Japanese soda before. Price is slightly high but it is worth every penny. Will come again for sure.

Quick stop for a delicious tonkotsu spicy chicken ramen, with 1 of my favourite Japanese drinks the ramune melon. Great authentic food in the middle of birmingham, well recommended.

Amazing food, shame it's not busier as it should be shouted on the rooftops how good the ramen and sushi is here! Lovely meal, will return and the chef was lovely too.

Haven't been here for a long time. The food was just as good as I recall with a good selection of Japanese food, including sushi and sashimi. I had a bento box and green tea latte.

Have to say we were disappointed with the food. Particularly the prawn tempura, it came with only 2 pieces of prawn and the rest were just peppers and a piece of pak choy?! We had to double check the dish was correct!! Not worth the money at all! We didn't pay over £6 for tempura peppers!! Spicy ramen could be more spicy. (didn't take photo!) Pork katsu curry was just average, small and flat piece of pork. Unfortunately we wouldn't return again and probably won't recommend it.

The food tasted very good, the takoyaki was amazing...so so good. The only thing that was a let down was only giving us two Prawns for the tempura Prawns (£6ish) which they did not specify on the menu and it came with fried Peppers instead, have no idea why. Additionally, they didn't give us the whole egg in our ramens, just half 😅 would have preferred if the spicy ramen was spicier too. However the taste and quality was very good, just little things like this.

I didnt expect I leave this low rating for this restaurant that used to be good. We ordered donkotsu plain and spicy ramen with chicken karaage because pork wad not available. The karaage are burnt which dominates the whole flavor of the ramen so hard to taste the original donknotsu broth and took 40 mins to be served even the burnt karaage. Something was gone wrong today this restaurant hope it will get better.

Wonderful spicy, smokey, flavourful ramen. Cozy atmosphere, very nice service. Some really good options for afternoon tea

Hidden gem in the centre of Birmingham. Tokyo Raman was the best I’ve had. Sushi was nice and fresh. Karage curry great portion but not so tasty. Overall would recommend

Simply delicious food - prices very reasonable considering the portion sizes and fabulous taste. Great service too and loyalty card is a bonus. I've only tried their Ramen varieties so can't comment about the rest, but i'm sure it must be good too

Small but nice restaurant. 4 tables were occupied on arrival at lunch time, which got busier after 30 mins. Staff greeted and showed us to the table but weren't overly friendly. Could be better at service with a smile. But the main thing is, the food was fresh and quick service. Most dishes are reasonably priced, some are a bit over priced compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. Overall, a good atmosphere with varied Japanese music.

Been a few times and the food is always amazing! Fresh, high quality and delicious. I'm always super happy when i come out. Definitely recommend

Very poor experience and staff performance. The crab rolls are simply inedible. The tempura prawn dish is the same as mix tempura, basically 2 prawns and 3 peppers for £6-7. The staff’s attitude shows they have no understanding of customer service or knowledge of the food they’re cooking and selling.

Ramen noodle worth trying. Bento box has large variety of selection. Green tea latte is great if you like matcha flavour! Not bad overall.

Good service. The ramen and sushi were really good. You get a big portion for the price. I would recommend.

Amazing restaurant! Food is insane, we ordered one bento box and some sushi, the ingredients were fresh and it was all delicious. The staff were very friendly. Would 100% recommend

The best Japanese food I've ever tasted! The Miso soup was so authentic and was the best I ever had, the ramen was perfect and the gyoza inside of it is out of this world! The sushi was also fantastic, staff were also friendly and kind throughout our entire stay. So glad I came here than wagamamas
