Had the spring afternoon tea for my birthday and it tasted amazing - with a surprise dessert being brought out for my birthday which really added a special touch. Superb cocktails. Friendly and welcoming staff. Will definitely be coming back!

Yup 5 stars for sure, not even a single doubt. Right from when we entered the restaurant, the staff were so friendly. They took our coats before being whisked away to our table. We went a bit earlier and despite it still being brunch, they still served us afternoon tea. The food itself was presented very well. The staff explained what we got. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Right from the cheese sandwiches to the bakery things. It was so Delicious. We didn’t wait very long either. Don’t get me started on the decor. It’s an amazing place to be seated in. So bright and colourful. Everything was so perfect. I have attached some pictures which I am sure you will appreciate.

Absolutely beautiful place, went there for breakfast for my birthday. Treated so well. Our waiter gave us the best service, very attentive, very polite and nothing was too much trouble. I was even treated to a birthday surprise from them. Would highly recommend going there.

Wow! Just wow. Amazing food, fresh and very tasty. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. Many to choose from the menu or just try the 3 or 2 course set menu, with choices for starters mains and desserts. Beautiful restaurant and I will very much recommend The Ivy! Enjoy ❤️

We came here for a celebration lunch and were not disappointed! From the moment you walk in, the service is excellent, greeted by a smile and a cheery welcome. The decor is also fabulous, classy, and also fun. It has that art deco feel but with modern twists. The food was excellent, if you are vegetarian ask for the veggie menu! I had the shepherd's pie, which was amazing! Sides come separate , so this pushes up the price, but it is worth it for this experience . Our waiter was very attentive and nothing was too difficult for them. The only down side for me was that I felt the service was a little slow, but we simply enjoyed the surroundings. I would love to go back in the evening and try out the dinner options.

We came here to celebrate my mum's birthday earlier this month. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. Wimbledon was on so they added a special tennis themed dessert which was incredible! If you come here you have to order the zucchini friti they are to die for, we always end up ordering at least two portions for the table.

We decided to dine in here to celebrate our anniversary and was the best choice ever. The service was just perfect and professional even if it was a busy hour. The food was perfectly cooked , salmon and steak was just wowwww and we most especially loved the zucchini as it was crunchy and delicious. In the end the manager give us a complimentary dessert. Very much appreciate that you granted our request and we had a lovely and happy celebration of our four years together in this restaurant. Thank you so much see you soon 😊 😊😊

First time dining here after hearing good things. We opted for the Christmas set menu and it was really nice. Service was nice and quick and staff were friendly, food came out quickly and was really good, looking forward to getting back here and sampling more of the menu in the future.

Absolutely wonderful. Service was beyond amazing, food was delicious and drinks were as tasty as they were aesthetically pleasing. Went for my graduation, we were offered a complimentary dessert to celebrate to occasion. Will most certainly be returning, thank you for the amazing service!

Had Afternoon Tea for our Anniversary and I have to say that I could not have picked a better place. To start with we popped in and booked last minute on a Saturday for Afternoon Tea on a Sunday. The lady at front of house checked us in and we confirmed our time. When we arrived the following day, we were promptly and professionally attended to and shown to our table. When our server arrived, we were advised there was no Afternoon Tea (despite us booking for afternoon tea the previous day). The server then spoke to the manager Carolyna I believe, who after speaking to the chefs, advised us they could accommodate us with Afternoon Tea but we would have to wait. That was not a problem and the Tea and cakes were well worth the wait. My wife and I adored the food and service and were made to feel extra special. It was a great afternoon and hats off to the entire team 👏🏽 👍🏽 🙌 😀 👌🏽

Nice atmosphere but average quality of food and slightly disappointing attitude, the waitress. The starter salad and croquettes are alright but the mackerel is a bit overly dry. For the main, the steak can either be pink or well done, we have ordered pink, but it turns out to be well done anyways. Would rather head to Toros for steak instead. The Chicken curry is very average too that you could eat somewhere else with the same price. The waitress with nose piercing serving the ground floor area is disappointing, with an arrogant attitude, worsening the whole dining experience. Would not visit again and not recommended.

After 3 cancelled bookings due to lockdowns, I finally got to check this place out. Visited on Mother's day so the kids could take my wife somewhere nice. As expected, it was quite busy. Showed up 10 minutes early for our booking and had a 15 minute wait in the front seating area. Could see the staff had a lot to do. There were a few very minor things, like one of our meals came out a little later than the others, and asked for a bottle of water which was forgotten about, but luckily turned out to not be needed anyway so was happy about that! Food was lovely, no complaints there. Plenty of options for my vegetarian family, and I opted for the fish & chips myself. Very nice surroundings, can see why people come here to get nice pictures for their social media. Nice touch where they presented my wife with a lily at the end of the meal.

Firstly. Let's get this out of the way. Ground floor disabled toilet was not clean. Unusable. Deep clean required. Would recommend an inspection rota during busy periods. Having been to the Brighton branch in the past a few times the food and service was excellent. Ordered fish and chips. The food was amazing. Service was excellent. Would definitely return here again.

We had a great time having brunch at the Ivy, a nice Christmas cocktail to start it off. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. The food was amazing. Goose and Turkey shepherd's pie, with a serving of Brussels, chestnuts and cranberries and a pot of gravy.

This is a bougie restaurant. Perfect for dates, TikTok and Instagram photos. Is the decor was beautiful. Besides us was a lovely newlywed couple who were celebrating a birthday. Given that our dishes arrived before they ordered, we provided our recommendations not to order the same. They enjoyed their lamb dish which was chefs special. On the other side was a dad and young daughter who looked like they were enjoying themselves. Atmosphere and clientele were a mix. While we were a group of friends catching up. I would be more careful with taking recommendations from the staff when asked if the the curry were spicy. The answer was Yes. When it arrived it was mild and I have to say the flavours had not been anything to write home about. Bland to say the least. The one Pluss point is the fries had been amazing. Thank God I ordered them. My saviour and Grace. Photos included of the dry chicken dish and curry dish. Improvements are most certainly needed with these dishes. Nice touch doing the profiterole with a birthday candle 🕯️ that was really nice. Thank you.

Went here for my 21st birthday dinner. Really nice ambiance, great service and waiters were very attentive and made it so special with a surprise in the end! :) A good selection of vegetarian & vegan menu, cocktails were nice and strong. Overall a very pleasant experience

Such a lovely restaurant. Food and service was totally exceptional. I always thought The Ivy would be expensive, but that definitely isn't the case. The ambience, the waitress and the food served, makes you think that the menu should be expensive, but it certainly wasn't. We've already booked a table for The Ivy in Cardiff because we were so impressed.

Had a fantastic time at the Ivy. The customer service was excellent, the decor was brilliant and the food was fantastic. Prices were on the higher side. The lamb pappardelle was good however the star of the show was the Chocolate Bomb dessert. The cocktails were also delicious. Would definitely visit again. Edit: Visited here two weeks later and the food was just as fantastic. See images below!

Great place for breakfast! Ivy breakfasts never disappoint. Especially for someone who is very health conscious and therefore has a lot of special requests (sorry not sorry) they are super accommodating and always happy to help, which is very much appreciated! The eggs are always very well cooked, the bacon is crispy and I LOVE their gluten free caraway toast, it’s by far the best gluten free bread I’ve come across. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a lovely Friday morning brunch, we all selected the set breakfast, which has two options for a blended drink, then pastries , followed by cooked breakfast. The mixed berries smoothie was delicious and fresh. Pastries warmed and tasty. Vegetarian cooked breakfast was just as yummy. Fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. Thank you for a lovely morning.

The Ivy offers a free birthday treat to customers celebrating their birthdays there. Atmosphere and service are excellent, however, main dishes are not up to quality standard, presentation is good anyway. My son celebrated his birthday there and other customers sang happy birthday song to him as they also celebrated their birthdays, too. Very joyful ambience. The most delicious dish is the free birthday cake!

I have to say we had a fantastic time at The Ivy for Friendsmas! The customer service was sensitive and perceptive. The food is consistently perfect. I attended the previous day too for my sister’s birthday but the Salmon was not available. Positively, I was able to eat the salmon at Friendsmas. It was worth the wait. It is the Ivy’s attention to detail that remains second to none. We had Christmas crackers and a wonderful booth for our meal together. The had the ice cream dessert which came with generous sized biscuits. I could have ordered two!! The only down side was the fact that the restaurant was quite busy due to the time of year. Towards the end we were slightly rushed as there was another booking. I wished there was more space in the venue to relax after eating. We would have spent more had there been space to lounge. However, space is often a luxury. I will forever rate the Ivy! Good and service top tier.

The decor was nice. Very pretty and Christmasy. We have festive afternoon tea which was ok. Tea selection is limited (Breakfast, afternoon blend, camomile..) I have tried both breakfast and afternoon blend, they are both weak for my liking eventho I have waited a while for the tea to get stronger. We have also ordered hot chocolate (plain and mint one) both are ok. The mint one is not really strong just a tiny hint of mint. The savoury sandwiches selection is nice and yummy. Sweet desserts are acceptable for the price. But very disappointed with the scones as it was dried and stale 🥲 Staffs are nice and tentative. It’s still overall a good experience. Wouldn’t go for afternoon tea again but will do for other menu. 🩵

The decor and the setting is beautiful and it is a lovely place to go any time of time. Sadly, the only thing that let it down was that we felt slightly rushed by our servers and it was very apparent how busy they were and we needed to leave as soon as possible. The table does have a disclaimer of 2 hours but having starters out at the same time as a main was a clear indication we need to be quick. We were also asked if we were nearly finished when we'd finished and drinking our cocktails. I had eggs royale which was nice, however the salted caramel espresso martini was the highlight! They did also honour our birthday guest with a dessert which was lovely of them.

  • 4/5 Stage A. 7 months ago on Google
Food was good, but had a surly waitress, who spoke too quietly to be heard and moved not much faster than a turtle. The atmosphere was very canteen, lots of people talking loudly and enjoying themselves, but very echoey, which made conversations hard unless you also spoke up adding to the noise. Not really a romantic stop in the downstairs area we we're seated in. Drinks, for the price were very average, we didn't but more and went to the alchemist across the green for cheaper better cocktails. Happy birthday profiterole was a nice touch. Good food, just not what you really expect from the Ivy name.

Fantastic place, lovely place to eat. It's art deco, so it is really nice. You have to book, even for the bar! The service is brilliant and the staff very friendly. You can spend lots, but there were lots of things that I thought were reasonably priced on the menu. I will definitely visit again!

  • 5/5 Jon B. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely loved our experience here. We sat at the bar before eating at our table. We were mesmerised by the cocktail making. Cocktails were expensive but as a treat well worth it. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great. Loved the art-deco 1920's vibe. Food was fabulous especially the dessert. Can't wait to return.

Incredible service - the staff were super helpful and our waiter was extremely attentive and fixed the multiple issues we had with the food swiftly. The food was pretty lackluster- missing items on 2/4 meals, human hair cooked into the tomato on my plate and zero seasoning on anything. It all looked amazing, but tasted basic. Poached eggs were also overcooked.

  • 5/5 Jen D. 10 months ago on Google
The table service was professional and fast and the food was hot and full of flavour. Overall, I would say the price is high but it is worth every penny for the quality food and experience overall. Additionally, there is now a daily specials menu that significantly reduces the price, making it much more affordable (£13.95 for one main).

Spent a great couple of hours here with my Dad for his belated birthday lunch. The place is fabulous inside, beautifully decorated and the food was excellent. I had the shepherds pie and Dad had the chicken. I had a dessert and they bought my Dad out a birthday dessert with a candle in. Also had a cocktail and finished with a coffee. The young lady that waited our table was great, friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend

Came to celebrate my friends 21st, great service throughout. Food was incredible, as anticipated. During our visit, one of our friends became unwell (unrelated to the food/drink) the service was just amazing, staff ensured she was okay and asked if there was anything they could do to help. Mark Patt served us and made our experience just amazing, would not hesitate to come back. Thanks so much (:

Had a lovely lunch here to celebrate my birthday. Service is always exceptional and all the staff as so friendly, attentive and nothing is ever to much trouble. We arrived a little early for our table but was quickly seated at the bar to enjoy some drinks. The food is exceptional, I’ve never had a bad experience dining at The Ivy and it’s always a pleasure to eat here. The staff even surprised me with a wonderful dessert with a candle for my birthday which was a lovely touch.

Going to The Ivy is as much a culinary experience as it is a sensorial one. It feels luxurious, decadent and really special. Although the menu doesn't asegura seem as creative, the fact that they reinvent old favourites and make them exciting dishes, is an achievement in itself. The surroundings are fabulous and the service attentive, discreet and professional. Its worth visiting even if only for special occasions as it always feels like a special treat...

  • 3/5 Ajmal S. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful decor and pleasant atmosphere, waiting staff polite and welcoming but once served nobody comes to check if you require anything else. We booked afternoon tea as a treat, the selection was not what one would expect from such an establishment, 2 satchets of sugar provided for a pot of tea and alcohol jelly replaced by buns of which there were already enough as an easy option for the kitchen I assume. They also charge 10% for service which in honesty is no more special than anywhere else but do bear in mind that although this is a decent restaurant the clientele vary and are sometimes distasteful like the gentleman we passed in the foyer who took exception to a member of our party who did not have a face covering and proceeded to comment very vocally about this, I would have assumed he owned the place but alas he was just another ignorant fool, the incident tainted out visit somewhat and I would think twice before booking a table here.

Service was excellent! Our waitress came and checked on us regularly. I ordered the Chicken Milanese which was nice but rather basic to what I’d expected. The desert on the other hand (Chocolate Bombé) was sweet and absolutely gorgeous. I look forward to visiting again and trying something else. The restaurant in itself is amazing in presentation

Celebrated my daughters 21st with the family & what a fabulous experience it was. Every member of staff was superb and friendly, but a big thank you to Nick who looked after us and made sure we all felt special especially taking care of our daughter with a nut allergy. We all felt safe with social distancing measures & such like. Once again many many thanks for making our visit such a fab experience. The food was superb and very tasty and we can’t wait to return.

Came for a late night meal with a friend. Beautiful interior - we were lucky to sit upstairs which is cosy and quieter. Food was delicious and plentiful, both struggled to finish! Drinks were lovely and served with style. Staff were all amazing - especially Erika our waitress - very relaxed, knowledgeable and professional. We shared a starter so she brought us extra bread at no charge.

This restaurant is simply stunning! It has such an amazing vibe when you step inside; its like you step back in time and walk into a high end hotel from the 30s with a slightly quirky edge. The staff are very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The food is incredible, perfectly balanced and presented. The drink menu is out of this world, they can make you anything really and my 'the Ivy sling' took me back to Singapore. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you haven't tried it.

Cannot fault the service. The waiter helped us with recommended dish selections, cocktails were delicious and had a great variety. Food is well cooked and waiting time is minimal. Such a sombre, yet delightful atmosphere. Very clean environment with a hand sanitizer on every table. Definitely a lunch and dining spot for all occasions and family.

A special thank you to the lady manager today!! All Covid rules were observed with sensitivity. The set menu was fab. Only observation was the chunky chips let down the steak.
