Excellent and worth a visit during the daytime on a Sunday when it’s quiet and parking is free. What a lovely restaurant. Varied menu from Turkey which includes garlic prawns and various stylish kebabs. Clean, spread out seating and plenty of space. Helpful staff and excellent quality food. Highly recommended.

Very clean restaurant with a great vibe and decor inside. We went around 3pm for a afternoon early dinner and the food was fantastic. Staff are very attentive and polite. We had 2 young women that was serving us on the day, I presume it was the daughters of the owner, they did a really good job. Portion sizes are decent and the food quality was 10/10. Not bad prices either. Overall good experience. Would come here again. Thank you.

We arrived Christmas eve, we were greeted and seated. The food was served within a reasonable time and was tasty. However, we found hair in one of our dishes and a fly in our water. When we raised the issues with the waitress, she contacted the manager who told her to take £5 of our bill. We were not happy with that and asked the waitress to contact the manager again. The chef came out and again told us that £5 will be deducted from our bill. Once again we expressed how unhappy we were. What happened next was shocking. The chef was extremely rude, told us she will pay our bill, kicked us out of the restaurant and told us not to return. We paid for our drinks and tipped the waitress as she had an ounce of some customer service. In all my life I have never been kicked out of restaurant. Based on the end result of the evening I wouldn't recommend visiting this restaurant simply because if you are unhappy with anything you will be dealt with in an unprofessional manner.

If I could leave 0 I would. One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. We told them on the phone we were fasting and would want to eat at 8.30 and left ample time to order. The waitresses came over four times unnecessarily to verify our order and then the last time decided to rewrite the entire thing. The food took over an hour and was missing a meal. When I went to ask if there was a manger about the girl didn’t even get up from her seat carried on scrolling on her phone and said there’s no one here for you to tell. Eventually the chef came out and decided to start shouting at us because I said we are leaving and going elsewhere. The rudeness of the staff and the complete inaccuracy of the pictures of the food and what is actually being sold is ridiculous. Don’t bother wasting your money to come here!! Pisspoor service and horrible nasty and inattentive toward the customers both from waitresses and chef.

I am not sure if the good reviews are genuine to be honest! I usually don't leave one star review but with this place unfortunately I have to. when you go in the atmosphere is not really welcoming. (however the waitress was nice) but the owner (I believe) was so unfriendly even though he was trying but he maid the atmosphere so uncomfortable. while ordering the food the guy was so unhappy as one of our friends was only ordering a few starter as she was pregnant and couldn't eat much and also any meat. we asked regarding the yogurt drink and if they serve it with mint, again he was so defensive and upset why we did ask such question and mentioned a few time and Turkish people never put mint in this drink! (so what, can anyone else not do that? is it against the humanity? ) when the food arrived, it tasted worse than the street food with the price of high quality restaurant, you could smell and taste the excessive fat that had used to make the food look good!! while eating we were constantly were watched and observed! the environment was enjoyable at all and we didn't even wait any longer just to leave and skipped the dessert part. Definitely would not recommend the place as there are so many much much better restaurant in Birmingham which you can enjoy your food and time.

A good walk from the city centre into the Jewellery Quarter you’ll hit Frederick Street. It is a gem hosting a plethora of alternative eateries. A must visit for while in Birmingham; at the top of the street is a little known Turkish restaurant named Cappadocia. It may be diminutive from the outside, but it’s quality within. The quality of service, food preparation and taste is heaven. Where else can you say that have you eaten baked cheese off a stone laden with pebbles? Okay, there may be some avant guard fine dining restaurant out there that does, but... for me it was a first. I loved the dishes, the people, the intimacy of Cappadocia. Remember to bring cash, their card machine is broken.

This is not a negative review. It was my first time coming to this restaurant after it caught my eye, discovering it on Google. It didn’t disappoint really. The decor was really pretty inside. We ordered hummus for starters. That certainly didn’t disappoint! It was so so nice, especially the flat bread that came with😍! I think it was my most favourite part of my meal lol. I would of happily snacked on hummus and flat bread all night. Me and my boyfriend ordered 1 lamb and 1 chicken kebabs each, which was decent. For the price we paid which was more than £17 each, the portion size was very small and the could of done with more flavour but again, the kebabs was nice. Almost tasted quite healthy lol which was good in a way. Other than that, the Resturant is very nice. This is just feed back not a bad review and I will return again some day. Thank you very much Cappadocia Resturant

Average at best. We were a large group (25) and they clearly couldn't cope - the waitress worked her socks off though so well done to her. Looked like only one other person working - probably the chef? Starters were quite tasty, but the mains were disappointing. 4 small chunks of chicken and lamb (which were nice) accompanied by loads of red onion, shredded beetroot from a jar and shredded carrot. Also a mound of cheap rice mixed with tinned sweetcorn?!?!? Would have had 3 stars, but ridiculously overpriced for what it is.

Same experience as the one star review below. No atmosphere, deserted on a Saturday night, poor food quality - dry chicken and small chewy pieces of lamb and barely a portion for one adult for double the price in competitor Turkish restaurants in Birmingham. Even food that you couldn’t go wrong with such as the olives, which were so sour that we could not eat them and the rice was so bland and flavourless. When asked for the manager to provide some feedback, we were told the manager is never on site…explains it all really. No goodwill gesture and no dessert menu except for Balaclava. A very disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

Stumbled upon this lovely place looking for an early dinner - very authentic dishes and so tasty! Nice portion sizes and the presentation was impeccable - see photo of chicken yogurt shish- we filled up on the mezze platter but had to eat the entrees as they were so good! The serving staff was also very friendly and attentive to all our needs. We’re fans of Turkish food and this places hits all the right notes !

We visited Cappadocia three years ago and enjoyed it so much and wanted to go back. We went there again last night, and we couldn't believe how the restaurant changed for the worse. The food was hardly mediocre. Tasteless, not cooked well, and the wating staff had no idea about what they were serving. We ordered hot and cold mezes to share. The sucuk were dried out, the sigara boregi were tasteless, the vine leave stuffing were the worst I ever had, the rice inside them was hard like stone. The lamb shish was tender but again tasteless, the rice served with the meat was bland. But most importantly, we ordered Yeni Raki by double serving, the raki was served OK, my husband asked where the water was and the waitress said you didn’t order water. She then served water with lemon slices. If you know about raki, that is a no no. Clearly the waitresses had no clue about how to serve raki at a Turkish restaurant!!! Not going back and not recommending it to anyone. Sorry to see the decline. Two stars for the sake of the first visit.

I am pretty sure all the good reviews on here are fake because there is just no way anyone would give this place anything more than a 1 star. This is the worst place you could ever eat!!! The service is APPALLING!. I went here with 4 colleagues on a Friday evening. We all ordered our meals and approx. half an hour later they brought 3 plates of food out for my colleagues and the waitress goes to me, "what did you order again?". I told her what I had ordered and it turns out she had forgotten to put the order through so they had not made my food!!!! The chef then comes out and asked me to choose something as on the menu as what I had originally ordered would take too long to cook. I then chose something he he picked (was the quickest to cook, took about 7 mins). never tasted anything so bland, could have done better job at cooking myself!!!. That's not even the worst part. The still charged me for that horrendous meal!!! I think its safe to say I will never set foot in this place again. And I will be telling everyone I know to avoid!!!!

Went there with family for a meal, i really enjoyed the experience. We had lamb shish and homemade baklava, taste was really nice I would recommend. Atmosphere was welcoming. Service was helpful and the waitress was nice and sweet.

The food is mediocre at best and the price doesn't help, so it seems worse then is. Any Turkish restaurant in London is better. Nice decor and presentation doesn't make up for the taste. I really do not understand the hype. I don't normally write reviews unless I really enjoy the place but if you feel the same regards to flavour as me, try another Turkish. There was sweetcorn in the rice and no bulgar so don't know if the food here is from a different region from your standard Turkish eatery's. But that ain't usually what you get right.

Came here for a friends birthday, have been here many times. I have always had a great experience so recommended it to my friends and we wernt disappointed! The food is always fantastic and fresh and the owner is always friendly and welcoming. It’s a lovely atmosphere and feels very warm. I recommend to everybody and will continue to do so.

Terrible… had booked a table but on arrival there was a closed sign on the door. No other people in there. Originally would have ordered a mixed grill but on feeling a vibe ordered a mixed starter to check out the food. The lamb was so chewy it was inedible. We sent the food back paid for our drinks and left.

I was extremely disappointed with the service we received from the boss of this restaurant. It was our first time eating in this place, and we would never go back again. We booked a table for 10 to spend a lovely evening together with friends. We bought our own celebration cake to be cut and served after our meal. The boss himself brought out the cake to our table in an aggressive manner. He had no eye contact with anyone on the table. He literally slammed the cake on the table with the cutting knife and walked straight back into the kitchen. We all jumped as we saw him do this. His colleagues had to apologise to us saying I'm sorry about the behaviour of my boss. His manner was revolting. We decided to leave the restaurant and spend the rest of the evening in a nearby cafe.

Cappadocia were fantastic from start to finish! We booked a table for 15 with short notice for a gender reveal. The food was delicious and everything came out as ordered (can be difficult with large groups). Definitely recommended - friendly staff and yummy meat!

The food was OK, I've had better seasoned Turkish food before, but the pretty interior made up for it. Convenient parking outside.

We really enjoyed our meal tonight. The waitress was so friendly and did a lot for us. The food was quick and fresh, we ordered the starters to come with the main (large platter). Portion size was good and we left full and happy. The lamb ribs were very tasty.

I was extremely disappointed with the service we received bad words from the boss of this restaurant , it was first and last time we were eating in this place, would never go back again, we paid about £71 for 3 adult and 1 child and the mixxed kabab dish for 4or 5 people , the dish was for 2 diet people and very small as picture !most kebab was wings🙂 plaus 2 fanta and 2 Efes beer! don't waste money here and try other turkish restaurant ,when I asked them about the size of dish ! boss said becuse of eara 🙄! 😂

We had hummus with flat bread and honey goats cheese for starters and the mixed kebab plate for the main - which we shared. The portions were good sizes, and the kebab plate came with rice and salad. The service is friendly and fast. I didn't look at the veggie options because I was having meat kebabs, but I do know they have fish and seafood if you are a pescatarian. The wine was quite expensive at £9.90 for a large glass, but there is a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on offer. The toilets were clean. The atmosphere is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I would definitely visit this restaurant again!

Absolutely deserted inside. Food was bland and chewy, lamb was burned to a crisp and rice tasted like it was from a packet. The bread was nice. Sent two dishes back and was a nightmare. Manager didn’t want to come out, had to ask for him twice. After going back and forth for 5 minutes he stormed off as a toddler would and said he will pay it out of his own money (we offered to pay for what we ate and drank).

I booked this restaurant for me and my boyfriend because I love Turkey and Turkish food. When we walked in there was a few other couples eating. We shared a starter which was delicious mushrooms and garlik in a tomatoes sauce with amazing Turkish bread we literally could not get enough wished we had orders one each. For our main we ordered the wings and lamb chops that came with rice and saled the food was all lovely down to the salad dressing was amazing. Service was impeccable could not find no faults and we will be coming back. My boyfriend is the most fussiest of eaters and he enjoyed all is food. Happy customers 😊
